I wavered between giving this books three or four stars but decided on four because it's after all one of those rare things - a fair assessment of Michael Jackson. The author does go on tangents, such as the history of Sony, but I suppose he's trying to put events into a much larger context. The information given is nothing new to a fan who has studied Michael's life for decades and followed the 2005 trial meticulously, but, I repeat, it's a book that deals with facts and not rumours and sensationalism.
This book really brings out the humanity in Michael Jackson. There are many things to describe Jackson. Genius, visionary, talented. But here we see how a man, who had the world at his feet, allowed for that to slip away.
Learn how Michael Jackson lost the most famous musical catalogue the world as ever known. And no, Sony was not the reason this iconic superstar lost it.
