SOME OF THE CONCEPTS HAVE BEEN BETTER DEALT WITH IN OTHER TRAINING MATERIAL PROVIDED BY OTHER INSTRUCTORS SUCH AS NISHIYAMA, OR NAKAYAMA. HIS EXPLANATION OF YIN AND YAN IS A FAR CRY SHORT OF WHAT I UNDERSTAND IT TO BE AFTER READING ABOUT THE TAO. HIS DRY WESTERN SCIENTIFIC METHODS OF EXPLANATION MAKES THE BOOK UNINTERESTING AND HARD TO FINISH

There is a lot contained in this little book about how to be an effective karate-ka, and how to be an effective teacher. This puts into words many of the concepts I've started to understand over the past years of teaching, and many more that are something to inspire to. I look forward to using several of these techniques in my own classes.
