Imagine for a moment that there is one other person in the entire world, regardless of distance, with whom you can communicate telepathically at will. In the world of Irilitia, a land plagued with warring states and political strife, and blessed with magical power, this is a reality reserved for a few choice individuals with destinies greater than that of the common man. Men with this gift become Spellswords, skillful wielders of both blade and Phyrim, while women become Magicians, powerful wielders of the elements of magic itself. Together they stand as protectors of the realm. But looming in the shadows lurks a threat spawned with the intent of killing all humans : the Churai. Over centuries they have become more adept at removing Spellswords and Magicians from their path, and the world begs for anyone to come forward to stop them. In two remote parts of the northern continent a pair of children come to realize their destiny, bound together by their telepathic bond. Embark with Reldon and Alira in their adventures as they form alliances, escape capture, and make life-or-death decisions in the name of stopping the Churai threat. It's a lot for two children to handle... In the end, they may have to rely on the only strength they have left - each other.

Hi, my name is Evan R. Meyer!

I am currently 32 years old and I am the author of the Irilitia Chronicles. I have been writing since I was 15 when I was an inspired and ambitious teenager who loved to read and write, eventually finishing Ilewa when I was 22. Since then I have completed three further books in the series: Xanem, Keitas, and Churai. An avid consumer of a variety of different kinds of stories, fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction and non-fiction, and mysteries are my favorites.

Outside of the world of literature, I enjoy watching football, playing the piano, learning history, and being with my ever-supportive friends and family. I live in the United States, and Wisconsin is where I call home.

Ilewa is the perfect start to an epic fantasy adventure!

Evan R. Meyer has created a fascinating world in the Irilitia Chronicles, full of political intrigue, magic, and danger lurking just beyond the edges of every page. What hooked me most was the unique telepathic bond between Reldon and Alira—it adds such a fresh, emotional layer to the story and makes their connection feel incredibly unique.

The pacing kept me turning pages, and I loved the balance between sweeping worldbuilding and intimate character moments. From tense escapes to quiet scenes where Reldon and Alira grapple with the weight of their destinies, Ilewa delivers both action and heart.

A fantastic read for anyone who loves high fantasy with deep bonds, magic, and the sense that something huge is brewing beneath the surface. I can’t wait to see where the Irilitia Chronicles go next!
