Narration again. And why does Charter look like Cal? We don't have enough designs out there? And this story makes the first two chapters seem... purposeless. However, it's an interesting story. Please, let's try a little harder?
I'm not sure what happened to this issue. The first two were amazing, but not much happened in Magekiller #3. More than half the book was taken up by a lengthy, drawn-out fight scene. And the whole plot of killing blood mages for a living, and being on the run from Tevinter, completely dropped off. Maybe the point of the comic series was just to promote Inquisition, because that's where it seems to be heading.
Anyway, what little character interaction exists in this volume was good. Whereas the previous two issues were dark, the panels in this comic were all very bright and sunny, taking place in broad daylight in the outdoors. I still love the characters and art, but this issue makes it seem like the story lost its place.
I loved this issue of Magekiller, the story just keeps getting better and better!! I only wish they were longer. This one seemed especially short to me :/
I'm going to rub my hands together gleefully because the Inquisition makes its grand appearance with Charter and this thrills me to my core. I'm Dragon Age trash, let's just face it. ;)
