Coming home to Crystal Lake should be a walk in the park for famous race car driver, Wyatt Blackwell. He’ll collect an honor, see some family, and get back to his fast paced life before anyone notices he’s gone. But when a fender-bender lands him in the local ER, the doc who treats him is none other than the prickly, straight laced, student president he screwed over at prom. Her dislike is evident but so are the sparks. Good ones. Bad ones. Hot ones. Regan Thorne refuses to acknowledge any of them and that makes it personal. Makes it challenging.
Because Wyatt Blackwell doesn’t lose on the track, and he sure as hell doesn’t lose in the bedroom.
Regan Thorne can’t deny it’s desire she feels for sexy-as-sin Wyatt Blackwell—but she doesn’t have to like it. The man was singularly responsible for one of the worst nights of her life. The fact that he’s interested means nothing—she knows he’d use her and leave—and at twenty-nine she’s not in the market for a fling. But Wyatt Blackwell is persistent. His charm outrageous. Makes a girl wonder. Can she give in to her darkest desires and teach Wyatt a lesson at the same time?
As winter approaches the sleepy town of Crystal Lake and things heat up, Regan begins to wonder if she'll survive the storm she's created, or if she's doomed to fail.
USA Today bestselling author and 2015 RITA® winner JULIANA STONE fell in love with books in the fifth grade when her teacher introduced her to Tom Sawyer. A tomboy at heart, she splits her time between baseball, books, and music. When she’s not singing with her band, she’s thrilled to be writing young adult as well as adult contemporary romance—books that have garnered starred reviews from Publishers Weekly & Booklist—from somewhere in the wilds of Canada.
I really loved when Wyatt was sweet, “I really did only come to make you breakfast. Trust me, if I could stay and spend the entire effing day in bed with you, I would.” He tugged on her until she was forced to look up at him. “And we will. This is so gonna happen. Just not right now.” I liked this book, I loved Wyatt, he was sexy, sweet, and totally infatuated with Regan, once he's in the man is all in.
This was a total bust for me. Wyatt came across as an arrogant jerk and I didn't care at all for his attitude. And I didn't like the whole casual hook up and oh, gosh, I haven't had sex in two years, I'd better get laid. I've enjoyed some of the author's previous work but this one just didn't do it.
This is a fantastic enemies to lovers story that has race car Wyatt Blackwell returning to Crystal Lake. He's determined to figure out why Regan Thorne dislikes him so much and get her to change her mind. It won't be easy but he doesn't plan to lose. I'd recommend this one.
I really enjoyed the first half of this book but I felt like Wyatt and Regan’s relationship flagged during the second half, and a lot of extra storylines emerged that weren’t resolved by the end of the story, which was disappointing.
I also didn’t like the ultimatum that Regan gave Wyatt about his NASCAR career - especially when she knew what he did for a living right from the beginning of the book.
Wyatt was an incredible character throughout though and had the biggest heart of gold. His bond with Patrick, one of Regan’s sick patients, made me tear up on a couple of occasions and he was just an all round good guy…even though we’re led to believe at the beginning of the book that he’s a bit of a player.
I definitely would have loved a bit more of a proper epilogue and conclusion with this book though.
Estoy decepcionada, empezó bien, pero el final fue tan abrupto. No sé trataron ciertos temas.

I read You Drive Me Crazy a few weeks ago, a small town/enemies to lovers romance by Juliana Stone.
Whyatt Blackwell leads a fast paced life and likes it that way, he's a NASCAR driver, one of the best but after a accident involving the death of one of his fellow opponents he decides to take a break before getting back behind the wheel again. He heads home to visit some of his family and to take some time for himself. He didn't intend to bump into a Regan Thorne, the girl he unfortunately played a stupid prank on at prom years ago. And from the look on her face when she sees him, Regan certainly hasn't forgotten. Blown away by how beautiful she is, he intends to make it upto her and try earn her forgiveness. He may not be here permanently but he plans on making the most of their time together, what he can't do is fall for Regan because his life isn't in Crystal Lake, could he really enjoy small town life?
Regan hates Whyatt, she will never forget the humiliation at prom, she refuses to even though its been years and Whyatt may not be the same boy he was back then. I mean she knows the instant she sees him that he is ALL man now but she can not allow him the charm his way into her heart. That's what she keeps reminding herself everyrime she bumps into Whyatt, because after every encounter she is starting to realise he's nothing like she thought he was and its becoming harder and harder to not catch feelings. Regan needs to remember that he isn't staying long, so falling inlove isnt in thw cards and will only break her heart. He couldn't give up his NASCAR lifestyle for her....could he?
I thought this was a nice easy read and I enjoyed Regan and Whyatt's relationship development throughout the book, my only problem was that I didn't agree with Regan giving him a ultimatum. I feel like Whyatt would have chosen her anyway because he loved the life he had created in Crystal Lake with her. I guess I'm a believer that when you love someone enough, you can make anything work no matter how hard it can be at times.
That ending was horrible! At first, I thought, here's the girl finally understanding her guy's hang-ups and willing to let him go so that he can figure out his mess. Then we got the scene with little Patrick and everything seems like it resolved itself after the hero who flew back home to be the kid.
Mind you, the kid lived in that scene. We never got an update about what happened and how come he had a miracle all of a sudden and came through the coma.
Wyatt never addressed what happened with his career at NASCAR. No scenes and or talks with his team that he will no longer pursue racing during the actual season.
Regan never questioned what it meant for Wyatt to leave it all. As long as he said I love you, ok we are good.
And that epilogue! How to freaking waste all that space just so we can discuss how Wyatt was an asshole during prom and that seeing him be with another person pushed Regan to pick some random dude to have sex with. I mean, they could have talked about it like mature adults from the very start and dealt with the issue!!! But Regan thought, "It was no big deal". GRL HU U KIDDIN
This series have such a great potential, with their father and all that. But it looks like most of the focus is second chance romance for all the brothers and I am not attracted to that type of setup.

Fast cars, Fast Women, but when one major accident that killed his friend in a NASCAR race, had Wyatt heading back to Crystal Lake. Fear drove him, Fear made him what he was. Like he was always chasing a ghost that was always in his review mirror. But one accident grounded him from racing till his mind was focused again, he headed back to the only place he knew. "Crystal Lake" till he meet up with one hot doctor that didn't want anything to do with him. His motto was "WIN" no matter what, read this intense story about one man and one woman that come together to give one dying child is last wish. In the end, does Wyatt finally get what he truly wanted would one last race, make things better, or would he lose that one person that means the world to him. Heartwarming, this will bring you to tears at some point so yeah Juliana did it again for me anyway I just love it.
I loved this story. Regan & Wyatt were a great couple! Their history in high school was an interesting back story through out the book. Wyatt returns to Crystal Lake & ends up seeing Regan without being aware of how much she dislikes him based on one date in high school. Regan has thought of Wyatt through the years & while she claims to dislike him, she also is attracted to him. Wyatt is determined to change her mind about him all these years later. More of Wyatt's relationship with his father came out in this story which I am assuming with wrap up in Travis's story out next.
Juliana Stone books always have good stories, great romances and keep you interested all the way through the book. I recommend her books!
Wow! So many hidden secrets in race-car champion, Wyatt Blackwell's life. He hates John, his father, who blames Wyatt for Wyatt's mother's death. However Angel Blackwell was on the way to meet John's mistress when she was killed in a car accident. Poor, young, Wyatt happened to be in the back seat and watched his mother die. So woudn't that make it John's fault, the sleazy adulterer? Wyatt puts his life on the line every time he races 200 MPH. He seems to be trying to outrun all of the guilt he is carrying around. And now he has to choose- his racing career or his girl, Dr. Regan Thorpe. Which one will win? (The editor owes Ms. Stone a refund-way too many errors!)
Loved the first book in the series and was enjoying Wyatt and Regan's story till I got to the end. The author did such a wonderful job of developing the story and the characters and then she quit at the ending.
1. I can't believe she gives him an ultimatum. Totally out of character.
2. He loves racing but gives it up. What happened to the process? How did he get to that decision?
3. What is he going to do next? Are his family issues resolved?
4. And the prom night story. She should have stopped with her seeing the other girl. Regan wouldn't have taken it beyond that. How do I know? I read the book. 3.5 stars
Wyatt & Regan Following on the story of the Blackwell brothers. A great story , though the prologue had me confused with the characters and I had to read it over a few times to get it straight in my head! The copy I read, had quite a few proofreading errors in it too which was frustrating... ie. Wyatt was mistakenly referred to as Hudson a few times. Whilst these errors didn't detract from the story, a correct version would have made it better.
Wow! Another beautifully written and heart melting story. Grab your tissues for sure. A little someone will steal your heart. As for Wyatt and Regan, utter perfection. It was great learning their past history and seeing their grown up mature people fall in love.
Super good read! I've read a lot of books, I'm not exactly sure where the one star reviews are coming from. This book made me laugh out loud one minute, and literally crying the next. It takes a lot to get me to cry in books. The secondary story in the background of the main characters definitely pulls at the heartstrings.
Good story. Not sure Nascar works exactly like how it represents here but interesting career. Dad John is sorely undeveloped because he was truly a piece of work with his family growing up. Wyatt especially had it rough. Good job author on bringing Wyatt home and bringing him to Regan!!! I really liked both Wyatt and Regan.
[1.5 stars] so far the series were slightly below average i feel, not much drama, both hero & heroine character's felt a little flat making the whole book slightly flat. its not bland, just flat. doesn't get me excited to wanna finish it faster.
I enjoyed the chemistry between the two in this story. After a glimpse of Regan in the first book it was nice to have her character explored more & she found her HEA.
I’m glad I wasn’t dissuaded from continuing this series after the bad experience I had reading the first book because this one was great. Wyatt and Regan’s story was emotionally engaging and charming while the dramatic moments were very compelling. I liked Wyatt, his ambition and his undeniable charm but he uses anger to cope with his childhood trauma and his non-existent relationship with his father is a stumbling block for his growing relationship with Regan. I liked Regan very much because she’s dedicated to her work and goes all out for her patients. I definitely empathized with her dating woes but her mother’s nagging was aggravating to say the least. I enjoyed Wyatt and Regan’s romance, his generosity toward her special patient and the emotional land mines in their story just as much as I liked their steamy chemistry.
Regan is prickly towards Wyatt Blackwell. That prickliness goes all the way back to Prom night. Regan is now a doctor living in Crystal Lake. Wyatt, who I found to be a bit of a pompous butt, is taking a medical leave from race car driving. It takes a while but we learn what the truth is between Wyatt and his father John.
This book was just okay to me. Wyatt was hard to like. Did he really think he was just going to leave one day returning to the world of race car driving? I liked Regan, she actually put herself out there even though the end would probably not be a happy one. I guess we will have to wait through another book to see if the boys will ever forgive their father.
I love all of Juliana Stone 's books and this is no exception. She writes characters who are well developed and easy to like. The love scenes are great and the friendships are believable.I think anyone would enjoy her writing and I highly recommend her books.
