I’m her worst nightmare come to life.
She didn’t ask for my protection, but when a hailstorm of bullets lands her father in the hospital, I’m the only hope she’s got.

Sure, the job pays. But I didn’t fight my way to the top to be some glorified babysitter.

At least, that was what I thought before I saw her.

The second I saw Dakota, the second I felt her curves, I knew she was going to be mine. It’s been one explosive ride since we met, and it won’t stop until one of us gets totally burned.

Trouble is—she thinks I’m here to keep her under wraps, and ever since I took the job, she’s been looking for a way out.

She thinks I’m the bad guy—that I’m out for blood.

She’s got no f***ing clue that I’m the only thing holding the devils back.

This Scarred Love is a full-length, standalone romance novel with steamy hot sex, strong language, an HEA ending and NO CLIFFHANGERS. Contains dark and disturbing themes, and over the top sexiness that may be uncomfortable for some readers.

I liked this book well enough. Dakota, the heroine, was opinionated and could make her own choices. Adam, the hero, is leader of a MC trying to turn legit. Dakota's home is shot up one night, leaving her father injured and the police scrambling to figure out who is behind the attack. Adam accepts a job as her bodyguard.

This is more of a 3 1/2 star read for me. The plot is fairly formulaic plot and the villain is easily deciphered about halfway through the book. This story also required a strong read-through prior to publication as there were numerous grammatical errors that really detracted from the overall feel. I think the author has talent, though, and I will keep looking for her work.
