“Not sure what that has to do with us,” he said, keeping the arrogance, keeping the smirk, and keeping a me like what I’d just shared meant nothing. He shrugged, then continued. “Affects him more than anything. Handle it now or wait, whatever. Just know, once we get started, you need to drop him, babe. I don’t share.” – Jamie
“You crazy-ass bitch. Do not fuckin’ come any closer.”
I flinched, halting my steps. “What? Did you just call me a bitch?”
“Yeah, bitch, I did. You heard me.”

“You’re mad I shot you down and bruised your precious ego and now you’r planning on making up lies about me.”
“Bruised my ego? Bitch, I think you did more than that when you ran my ass over.”

“Babe, get the fuck over it,” I ordered, watching her eyes flicker wider.
I put my atention back on the road. “If we’re goin’ someplace together, I’m drivin’. Don’t matter whose car it is. We got someplace to go? I’ll get us there. So quit with the attitude and just enjoy my fuckin’ company. It ain’t like I took your ride and left you back at the house. Straight up, though, kinda wishing I would’ve just done that.”

“Tense all night. Worryin’ I wasn’t feelin’ you. That wasn’t the case.” Jamie began to explain. “Just came in a woman for the first time. That woman being’ you. I was processin’ shit.”

"I want something? I get it, and I don't fucking lose. Ever. No shit."

I wouldn’t be that girl. I wouldn’t want him. Only…I totally wanted him. A little, if I was lying. A lot, if I was being honest.
“Nine months was nothin’, babe. I would’ve waited years for you.”This story was actually way more romantic that I thought it would be. Jamie really did have that sweet spot that he only gave to Tori. Once they (finally) got their stuff together, I adored them as a couple. I loved the scenes with Jamie’s sister, Quinn, too. There was a lot I adored about this book. It could have easily been a 5 for me. But holy moly. If I heard the word ‘babe’ or ‘ain’t’ one more time I would have screamed. Jamie was an OTT alpha with his talk, which didn’t fit in his surfer persona IMO. I didn’t feel like he needed that OTT alpha flare and it didn’t 100% work for me. He felt a lot like a KA alpha (just the way he talked etc) and I didn’t feel connected to that part of his character. But that could just be a ‘me thing’. I know a lot of people love the alpha talk.

Four Letter Word (Dirty Deeds #1)
Hit the Spot (Dirty Deeds #2)
Bad for You (Dirty Deeds #3)
(Dirty Deeds #4)

"Came to me last night, upset, crying, wanting someone to make that shit better for you. Needin' someone." I looked into her eyes. "You got people you smile at, babe. People you take in and let live with you. And you came to my door. You gave me that." I breathed a laugh and cupped her cheek. "Still don't think you know what that meant to me."
I blinked. "Legs? Did you just call me Legs?"
... Half of his mouth lifted, revealing one killer dimple.
"Fuck yeah, I did," he answered... "Seen a lot of good ones. Had a lot of good ones wrapped around me, but yours? Babe, seriously." He looked to me again. "Yours take the fucking cake. I'd give my left nut for a feel."
I stared at him. I was never a woman of few words [yet] here I was, stripped of my vocabulary for the first time in my twenty-four years of life, all because a man wanted to chop off his left testicle to cop a feel.
Unbelievable.
He laughed, low and rumbly in his throat, and hearing that, I broke out of my speechless haze.
"Do you offer up appendages to all the women you meet?"

Jamie McCade. Gorgeous dickhead. Local asshole. Biggest player on the planet.
My stomach clenched. And my heart, Lord, my heart was going crazy. Jumping up and down and pointing with frantic fingers, yelling, There he is! Go get him! Go!
“Nine months was nothin’, babe. I would’ve waited years for you.”
“I told you, I just wanted to get a snack.”
“Bullshit,” he shot back, voice growing louder. “Somethin’s got you tense and I wanna know what it is.”
“I’m not tense,” I argued.
“You’re tense, babe.”
“No.” I tipped forward a little. “I’m not. I was just hungry.”
“Tori.”
“I’m not tense!”
Don’t give a fuck what I’d end up losing as long as that ain’t you.”
“I want something? I get it, and I don’t fuckin’ lose. Ever. No shit . I’m not just blowin’ smoke up my own ass, babe . When I say I don’t fuckin’ lose, I mean, I do not fuckin’ lose. That applies to a lot of shit, Legs, and it sure as fuck applies to you. I won’t back down, boyfriend or not. You gotta know that.”
“Jamie McCade was unstoppable. And the parts of me that didn’t mind looking at something so beautiful hated him for it. Yes, unfortunately on top of being the most irritating man in the history of irritating men, Jamie was beautiful. He was cocky. He was unashamed. He was over-the-top pigheaded and spoke like a Neanderthal wielding a club. And he was beautiful. It sucked. Seriously.”
“That was when the kiss became a kiss. The kind that should be done behind closed doors. The kind that made your toes curl and your pulse race. The kind you told your girlfriends about and commemorated with a diary entry. Jamie tasted good. Too good. And he kissed even better. I couldn’t deny it.”
“That was the truth. I wasn’t lying. I wasn’t just saying shit ’cause my dick was in her either. I loved her. She knew that. But this was bigger. It felt bigger.”
“It’s you, babe. Never had nothin’ like this. Never had nothin’ even close. And never will again. I know that.”
J. Daniels

“Jamie McCade. Gorgeous dickhead. Local asshole. Biggest player on the planet. And the man who would not catch a hint and leave me the hell alone.”
“Wanting this girl was the biggest fucking headache of my life. If it weren’t for the glimpses I’d gotten of that soft she was hiding underneath, I wouldn’t think it was worth it.”
“Tori fought with her words. Not her body. I quit asking and just kissed her. And kissed her. And kissed her. I kissed her until seconds blurred into minutes. I kissed her hard and rowdy and rough.”
“Love was an adventure. It should be spontaneous and irresponsible and a little crazy. Not planned for. Not overthought.”

"I loved the side story with the secondary characters, Tori and Jamie. Their banter was fabulous! Jamie is the perfect example of a male whore waiting to be redeemed and he wants Tori to be his redeemer. Tori is spectacular. She's level headed and not afraid to speak her mind. She is fun, mouthy, sarcastic and protective. The perfect friend."
“Know you are, babe,” I murmured. “Don’t need to be, but I feel that.”I’m not the grammar police, but it was distracting. I get that these nuances are probably intentional character choices, but they just didn’t do it for me.
“Tense upstairs, babe. Felt it when I held you.”
“I’d burn the whole fuckin’ world down for you, you know that?”Jamie and Tori take naughtiness to a whole new level. They are off the Richter scale in terms of earth shaking, smoldering, dirty sexy times. As usual, J. Daniels’s writing is pretty much an erotica lover’s wet dream. More importantly, she gives the characters wonderful opportunities to share their connection outside the bedroom. Their joking, nurturing, and tenderness are incredibly appealing.
