Rate this book
A homeless American veteran living a broken life on the streets of Seoul, South Korea catches part of an interview with a man he believed to be dead; a man whose continued existence finally explains to the veteran how things had gone so wrong for him. To settle the score, the veteran returns to the U.S. where he crosses paths with Zhang Wei; a disgraced, fugitive martial arts instructor from China, and Allison; a young doctor on a nomadic sabbatical. All three facing hard times, they stick together initially for short term benefit, but eventually come to trust and like each other. As the veteran nears his revenge, his friends sense his change in demeanor and share their stories in an attempt to keep him from making a terrible mistake.
