My name is Abby Blair. I write erotic romance.
I don't practise what I preach, though. With a string of failed relationships behind me, my books are now the only passion in my life.
I create fictional men, because the real men in my life often let me down.
I create a woman's perfect fantasy, because my fantasy doesn't exist.
My female leads luckily get what I don't. Devotion. Love. Sex... A happy ending.
So when I meet Yate Sheridan at my very first book signing, he makes me question a lot of things. He is like one of my leading men, jumping out from a chapter and jumping into my real life.
He is charming and wickedly sexy, with a smile that could cause a roomful of knickers to drop in an instant. There is no question; Yate is appealing.
He is also a cover model... A definite no-no for me.
I don't like my men to be constantly drooled over, I leave that for my readers to do with my fictional men. So, as much as I like Yate, I can never date him.
I'm way too insecure to go out with a guy like him. I have a painful past regret that has chipped away at my confidence. Being with someone like Yate, would only feed those insecurities.
As an author, I am able to write about sassy, confident, and bolder than brass heroines. They are sadly, everything that I am not.
When Yate unexpectedly kisses me; I know that I need to walk away. I need to walk, whilst my knickers are still on and my heart is still in tact. Only he doesn't want to leave things there. After that single kiss... He wants more.
I'll admit, he gets under my skin, but I don't think I can give him what he wants?
Yate Sheridan, well let's just say, he has other ideas.

The best book Boyfriend ever.
Let me tell you this 1st of all, IF you are looking for your next book boyfriend then look no further Yate Sheridan is the one and only , sweet,charming, caring, and sexy has hell,
This book was definitely written with heart The relationship between Abby Blair and Yate Sheridan is one that should have never happened Abby a author would never entertain going out with a cover model , she know all to well what there like,
But they both found that they got under each other's skin and couldn't be apart,
With lots of emotions and troubled pasts this story will get your emotions going and the characters will sneak into your heart without you even realising it,
K B Mallion is a fanatic writer , she gave us Dade the loving Cowboy she gave us Jonny the sexy has hell film star and now Yate, I can't wait to see what she writes next,

Abby has to be one of my favourite females of the year so far. And certainly the strongest of KB Mallions characters to date. As she tells her story, and of her effort to become an indie author and all that goes with it, we see her heading to her first ever book signing after two years of writing. With her best friend and PA KC who provides her with all the support and giggles required I simply adored their banter and friendship.
Abby had closed herself off from the prospect of love for various reasons...mainly saving herself from anymore pain and heartache. Did she live through the pages of her books? Yes...but one cover model would make her question all that in a heartbeat.
Excerpt:
I don't know her story but...There's this vulnerability that sits within her pale blue eyes, and it has me wanting to know even more about her. I find myself wanting to peel away all of her insecure layers, one by one.
Yate...oh, Yate. *Susan fans herself wildly like a school girl*
This man...he's mine okay, so hands off lady. But seriously, he is one of the most unassuming, caring men ever. That and the fact he's very easy on the eye (all part and parcel of being a model right?!).
Their relationship from the very beginning is buzzing with sexual chemistry and emotional friction. I could feel my kindle getting hot, let alone me! But of course he had his own truths to tell...and would their relationship stand the truths both had to tell?
Excerpt:
I'm willing to run with my feelings for him, and suffer the consequences at a later date. I have to run with how he makes me feel, because I've spent forever running away from my feelings. Yate took a chance on me. I'm now taking a chance on him.
Yate was the first person to enter her life since some pretty heart shattering experiences and they were very much raw for her. As she pushed him away, I feared she may go too far.
Excerpt:
I just want Abby to tell me why she carries such sadness around...Her empty blue spheres begin to fill with heartbreaking tears. Tears that silently wound me as they slowly slide down her cheeks. I catch each one, wiping them away with my thumb; not once looking away from her. These tears represent something; they are there for a reason.
What an emotionally heart tearing book. I actually felt conflicted for both characters and instinctively hurt for them both, knowing Abby's past hurt and worry about history repeating itself in her life, she goes to such lengths that she is ashamed and upset about. But she had to learn to love herself.
Another amazing story from KB that I fell head over heels with and can only praise her for. This author has the ability to pull upon some serious situations in her books and makes us all question our own personal feelings towards and still love the characters she creates. Not an easy feat!
Final and favourite excerpt:
Life isn't always a pretty kaleidoscope; its mods of a messy mosaic. But if you carefully rearrange all of those pieces, it can actually become a thing of beauty.

I was so excited to read this new book by KB Mallion, Written With Hearts. This British author is one of my favorites and her stories never fail to touch my heart. This book centers on a romance writer, Abby, who writes under a pen name as AB Blair. The result of an affair, the way Abby grew up has long affected her views on the opposite sex. While her father was absent from her physically, her mother was absent emotionally, often drowning in a bottle. A shocking revelation causes Abby to go off the rails, which sets up another event that stunts her emotional growth. Finding solace in writing, Abby learns to live with herself, not really loving herself. Her best friend, KC tries to get Abby out in the dating world with limited success but KC's love'em and leave'em ways do not appeal to her.
Enter the debonair cover model, Yate. Their chance meeting at a book signing detonates their explosive chemistry. Yate is not only a sexy model; he owns his own landscaping business and is the father of a sweet two-year-old daughter. Abby pushes Yate away, denying the attraction, but his perseverance conquers her stubborn mind. They begin a passionate relationship, but when Abby finds out about his daughter, before he can tell her; again she tries to push him away. The guilt of her past and her mistrust of men because of her father are always on Abby's mind.
Upon meeting Yate's daughter, Lily, the longing and guilt she feels causes her to push him away even more. Near tragedy toys with Abby's resolve but she cannot bring herself to forgive her past decisions. KC suggest that she seek out help to help her overcome her past and maybe carve out a future. Even with intervention, Abby sees a future alone but a headstrong man may have something to say about that.
Ms. Mallion hits all the emotions in this book, she draws the reader into the indie book world and the inner workings of Abby's mind. Told in dual POV you hear both characters' reactions to the action and how it affects them. The spark between Yate and Abby is hot and their sex scenes are smoldering. Ms. Mallion's writing flows and the story is well paced. Her characters are well developed and full of emotions. Abby's heartbreaks crawl into the reader's heart and swings from the strings there. I'm a little sad that this is a stand alone story but I anxiously await the next work from this author.

I couldn't wait to get stuck in to this new release by K B Mallion. After reading her The Fame series I knew I was in for a real treat!
One of the things I was drawn to was that Abby is an author and she attends a book signing, as it just brought back great memories of a signing I attended last year - in fact the one mentioned at the back of the book! ;) This is where Abby (or A B Blair) meets Yate Sheridan, a damn hot cover model and sparks fly straight away.
Both Abby and Yate have a past though which they don't reveal to each other straight away, and Abby really struggles with hers. It is a sad history, and I really do feel for her as you can tell she is very insecure about a lot of things. Yate, he is just such a suave gent - definitely one to fall for! The relationship between them is stop-start and I was gagging for them - especially Abby - to just let go and get on with it! I really warmed to all of the characters in this book, especially Lily - so cute and adorable!
The story on a whole is a brilliant read, with just the right balance of friendship, romance, love, and sex - and that was in all the right places rather than dropped in for the sake of it!

KB Mallion once stated that she tries to write a story that will leave readers breathless; emotionally and physically breathless.
Well, I think she needs to pour herself a celebratory vodka, because Written With Hearts did all that and more besides.
Abby and Yates story is a beautifully written tale of how life can beat you down and leave you feeling so undeserving of love that when that one epic love is laid out before you, you're your own worst enemy, and walk away.
Sometimes we have to fix ourselves before we feel justified in taking our own happily ever after.
I truly feel I've been on an emotional roller coaster that's left me breathless, mission accomplished, Kim
