Auren's best friend was captured during the Galvadi invasion, and her rescue attempt goes awry. Now Auren finds herself in the hands of an enemy who knows her true identity…one who has the power to be either her destroyer or her salvation.
Episode 8: Broken
Auren doesn't succumb to Makari's torture, so he decides his father was right about her being the delohi-saqu. Now he resorts to more sadistic methods to extract information, which could doom the Coalition if Auren fails to resist.
Episode 9: Turning Tides
Now that Makari knows the truth about Auren, he has sworn to protect her and help her escape. But when the other guides become suspicious, Makari's loyalty is tested, and he is forced to do something he swore he'd never do again.
Episode 10: Separate Paths
Auren finally meets Shai, Kado's daughter, but she is too weak from her months of torture to escape the reconciliation center. Makari takes over Shai's cleansing sessions, but that means Auren will face daily torture again. To make things worse, Makari disappears and Auren is given a task that means taking the life of someone she loves.
Episode 11: Escape Part 1
Auren and Shai begin their escape, but it doesn't go as planned, and they are forced to adjust their plans. They are pushed to their limits, and Auren has to put her untried abilities to use or risk being recaptured.
Episode 12: Escape Part 2
Makari has decided to stay with the Galvadi for Auren's protection. Auren and Shai are on their own, and nature seems to be against them. After being seriously injured, Auren falls ill and it starts to look like they will never reach their meeting spot with Kado on the southern shore.

Wow book 2 is so thrilling as most of it takes part in Nadiria. the cleansing centre of the Galvadi regime and they really do try everything to break Auren's will but she is so headstrong and stubborn that no matter what, she persists in wanting to escape but intending on taking her father and Shai with her thus making Makari's mission to help even more difficult. Her father takes a decision which Auren finds difficult to accept but in the end she escapes with Shai only. The escape is full of excitement and fear for the two shadow stalkers and the book keeps building up to such a crescendo of tension it's awesome and breath taking. I just love Auren's strength even though she had not finished her training she keeps discovering talents she has which others have no idea about. She is after all the delohi-saqu and Kado is finally the Foramar working with the coalition to defeat the tyrant emperor of the Galvadi. Am dying to read the next book as i cannot stop thinking of Auren and of course Makari who is still living in the Galvadi empire and taking part in missions for his father whilst spying for the shadow stalkers! Life is rife with danger for both of them.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series, and it was great to follow Auren as she develops her skills. The book has plenty of peril and tension. I look forward to finding out more about the shadow world in the next book.
This is an interesting world with likable characters. I kept reading to see what happened next. I started reading this serialization when it only had 6 episodes. Each episode adds to the world and characters. The episodes are easy to read and end in a satisfying manner. Even though you are ready for the next one you are not disappointed in the story you just read. There are now 21 episodes so you don't have to wait for the next one to get your fix.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that this book is even better than the first. The extent of imagination the writer has poured onto these pages is astounding. I was swept away in the action and with Auren's feelings. Her longing family, acceptance, belonging and love is so intense. Great read!
Auren allows herself to be caught. In doing this she learns much about herself. Great continuation of part 1. We learn where the people are from and hiw differrently the children are raised. Highly recommend this book and author.

When I finished Part 1 of the series, I immediately downloaded Part 2 of the book! When Auren escapes from the Dark Isle, she goes in search of her friend Jade, who has been captured by the Galvadi. Auren secretly hopes to find her father in the Galvadi Reconciliation Centers and free him. Unfortunately, freeing her father becomes a difficult task. She finds that her only ally is Makari, the son of her enemy. He has been tasked with finding Auren, but he has plans of his own when he realizes that he has feelings for her. Makari has been brain washed by his father’s lies and believes that the Delohi-saqu needs to purge of her evil. Sadly, Makari knows that Auren is the Delohi-saqu and puts her through unimaginable pain to “save” her so that he can be with her. Will Makari convince Auren to give up being a Shadow Stalker so that they can be happy together? Can Auren resist Makari’s treatments and complete her mission to save her father? This is the second part of the Shadow Stalker series and my favorite one so far. The emotional rollercoaster that Auren goes through is heartbreaking. I found myself crying for her and trying to give her my emotional support. The love story between Auren and Makari should be black and white, leaving the reader, and Auren, hating Makari, but it’s not that simple. Makari truly believes that he is helping Auren by freeing her from her darkness. In the end, I wasn’t sure if Auren could forgive him for everything that he had done to her. Ms. Scattergood has outdone herself in the section of the story. The emotion and detail that she puts into every page is amazing. I found myself rushing to pick up the book to continue reading. My only negative comment is about the ending of this Part. The ending felt a little abrupt after being so involved in Auren’s moment-to-moment actions. The ending is summarized and felt rushed after all the wonderful details throughout the entire series. I would have like to see the story pick up in Part 3 rather than rush through the last section. I wanted to see and experience Auren’s relief to finally achieve some of her goals. I am looking forward to reading Part 3 when it is released. I am hoping for a spectacular ending after experiencing this incredible journey. I gave Part 2 5 stars and hope that the next Part doesn’t disappoint!
In Shadow Stalker: Separate Paths (Episode10), by author, Renee Scattergood, we find that the coalition is gathering and strengthening their abilities to help the Shadow Stalkers. All of the main characters strengthen and resolve to do what must be done. There is loads of action, danger, decision-making, and trust in this episode; some having to trust in others they barely know or know not at all. There is more torture and abuse.
Can the Shadow Stalkers remain strong and not give in to their doubts? Episode 10 is one of my favorite episodes so far. Love guides them all and provides strength to them. I can hardly wait to get to read Episode 11 and Episode 12.
If you like the first book, Shadow Stalker Part 2 will not disappoint. Ms. Scattergood's writing is so good that you feel Auren's pain, mental and physical, as she struggles to accept her fate as the Delohi-saqu, the leader of the Shadow Stalkers. As a result of preparing to lead her people, Auren must learn to follow her instincts and not her emotions or endure strict punishment by Kado, her mentor and step-father. When she tries to rescue her best friend, Shai, Auren is captured and "cleansed" by Makari, the son of the enemy leader. A fated romance between the two complicates the storyline adding a new depth to Auren's emotional development.
There are a lot of twists that keep the story moving quickly and Auren's emotional rollercoaster takes the reader on a thrilling ride. Once again, I couldn't wait for the sequel, which I preordered.
Auren is bound and determined to save her people, her friends, and her Dad from the Givaldi, even if it kills her. But as she's learning, it's not that easy if you can't find two of the three..Another great installment from Renee Scattergood! Absolutely loved it, it has some serious action from the foster parents that was not in the first installment. Keep it up!
