Watched the movie and then read this. The movie was just alright but this was a little better. It’s a shame that Favreau didn’t have enough time to do all the things they wanted because there were some solid bits in here that could’ve added to the film. Like the answering machine but and the girl at the casino. I still think the ending is meh and that there’s a lot of cringe moments throughout, but I enjoyed reading Favreau’s action lines.

it was refreshing to read the screenplay of and story about the independent movie Swingers. it amazes me, as i re-read the script, how closely it resembles what appeared on the screen. Jon Favreau's script is brilliant with lots of detail. the movie played in my mind as i read it.

Favreau writes about how he stuck to his guns and would not budge on script changes. in the end, some distributors passed - but it seemed to work for Favreau and Vince Vaughn in the long run.

A great read!
