First, this biography is partially based on two previous bios on the man. Second, it is well written but troubling. I had never appreciated all the tragedy, criticism, additctons and bizarre behavior that surrounded this man. Always the performer, this book takes us behind the glamour. I was floored by what I read as I am sure you will be.
