Useful for those who have some spanish experience and not useful for those wanting to learn for an upcoming trip.
In my opinion there are a number of errors in the book that should have been caught. Not in typo generally but in accents. The book covers a wide range of words with reasonable examples. The speaker is clear and only a few occasions are words mispronounced in Spanish. This book introduces grammar that may be best left to those in the A2 or B1 category. I am a more experienced spanish learner so I found this book a good refresher and I did learn some things I had forgotten or didn´t know. The book wasn´t what I was expecting but I did learn from it. It´s really hard to find a book that has found a good way to teach conversational spanish. Maybe it just doesn´t exist. You will have a reasonable overview of spanish with this book

A Good Way to Move Off the Plateau
This handy little book is a nice boost for helping those stuck at the beginner-to-intermediate level of learning Spanish. It's a very quick read, with good examples that provide more light and shade to your language skills. I plan on keeping this as a reference guide for quite some time. Well done!

Helpful Information!
Great adjunct to Duolingo and other Spanish tutors. With so many Spanish dialects -- not to mention differences of opinion on accuracy -- the author's explications have been quite enlightening. Highly recommended, especially for those who wish to understand the linguistics of this language!

Great reference
This book at first glance looks like a English to Spanish dictionary. It's so much more, the author helps you understand and practice saying English phrases in Spanish without sounding like a newbee.

Very useful as a refresher for those with some knowledge of Spanish. My only gripe is that there is insufficient advice as to which items (vocabulary and expressions) are found only in Latin America and not in Spain, and vice-versa.

Most useful book ever
I must have 50 books on Spanish. I have spoken Spanish for 50 years. I traveled alot and tried to speak like the locals. This book very easily explains why the differences in saying something works. Reading it was like talking to a friend. Great book!

A really instructive book
This is a very useful book for a student of Spanish. Also, having the audio version will no doubt prove to be an essential addition.

It’s the perfect book for lifting your Spanish. It has many common words with various meanings outlined. He does a good job explaining the situations in which each word would be used.
