Moniz continues our MC series in book 9:
As a young runaway, Geek was offered shelter in the most unlikely of places. He was told he had a purpose which sparked a determination to serve the MC for a chance at food and a room daily. Now, Head of IT for the Badass Brothers, he's the go to guy when there's trouble and Badass always find trouble. Human trafficking takes center stage again when a hacker tries to get into Geeks secured files.
Marty lives through hell daily at the hands of her kidnappers, waiting to see glimpses of her daughter only through a computer. She's promised real life contact if she helps the traffickers. She'll do whatever it takes to make sure that promise is kept. Putting her life on the line she catches the attention of our Badass Geek and hopes that he can find her daughter before she's sold.
The Club and Baxters all gather to help find the traffickers and change the Club forever with some help from an unlikely source. Respecting women is one thing. Are the Brothers ready for a woman in High Security?

L. Ann started with the Baxters and followed that with multiple series and genres. While her books feature paranormal, FBI, ex-military and Badass Bikers, L. Ann is writing about the strong women that these men need in their life to help right the world's wrongs and keep their small part of the world safe. The women are extraordinary, strong and determined to make a difference.
The men fight for right in every book. Yes, they kill people. Yes, the MC shoots at the bad guys’ feet to cause them pain. Yes, some throw tampons at each other regularly.
That being said, they do these things while stopping human trafficking and experimentation, bringing their world into legitimate businesses, fighting gangs to keep drugs away from their town and kids, keep women sheltered safely while trying to stop domestic abuse. These are men that don’t leave a pack, Team member or Brother behind. They don’t treat women as possessions and they don’t cheat. Respect takes on an honorable meaning. Women and kids are cherished. Everyone is looked out for and everyone is equal.
L. Ann has made amazing worlds, tackled the taboo subjects and made it easy to imagine living in a world where your protection comes from the vampires, shifters, freaky kids, albinos and orientals, military turned FBI and some Badass Bikers.
With readers writing about rereading the series over and over, she feels like she’s told her characters’ stories in a way that would make them proud.
Every book will make you laugh, every book will make you angry for the wrong that happens in the world. Every book will make you cry for the pain that a character feels. Every book gives you hope that we may just get it right yet

IT geeks can be hot.

Geek and Marty's story is kind of heart breaking. Marty was supposed to be Geeks but things got switched around and she ended up with the wrong person. Aubrey should have been his daughter by blood but now is his daughter by choice. Everything Aubrey and Marty went through just so someone could get back at Geek, sad but it made these strong women who they are. Love this series. Highly recommend as a really good ND series with all the feels you could want along with some hot sex. Into the next.

I first started by reading MC: Knight and then realised that I wanted the whole story and that started with the Baxter's .. although the first books didn't have a lot of crossovers they did set the scene for what is to come in the other books as the stories move along so their importance to the series' as a whole cannot be overstated

I have just read the 22 books to date back to back in the order published on the author's website and decided to review them as a whole. I really don't think they stand well as stand alones as there are too many common threads, too much history and too much character crossover for that so it really is one (very) long story over a very long period of time with each series concentrating on a particular character group but including all of the others (except for the initial Baxter books which didn't have a lot of MC action but did set the scene for a lot of what is to come).

I loved every book although of course some more than others but i am giving an overall five star rating. My biggest issue was that sometimes (often) i found it difficult to be sure exactly who was talking and had to reread sections to try to work it out. I think that perhaps what the author is seeing in her head moves a bit too fast to translate well to the written word for some of us (something like the thoughts of some of her characters - you need to read the stories to understand my thought process here!!)

My other issue was keeping my head straight with the cast of thousands (and this is not an exaggeration) ... with each story building on to what has come before and what will come to be and with most characters continuing to play a place in each consecutive story I found myself constantly stopping to think - now who was that, whose child is that, whose partner is that???? but even amongst that confusion I loved the relationships and the strengths they provided.

The author has an amazing imagination and has brought to the table a fantastic story that i will continue to read and at some point will def read again. I have always loved and had an interest in native american philosophy and also in paranormal and psychic connections and love the way these are ingrained into the books as the stories unfold.

Although there were some things that caused me slight annoyances I cannot deny that as a whole this fits as one of the best series i have enjoyed. my thanks to the author for providing such a thoroughly engaging tale

Loved it

This story deals with physical and sexual abuse of women and children, no graphic details, but may be an issue for some.

I loved Geek and Marty's story. Geek has lived in the club since he was sixteen. Times are changing, his mentors and friends have or are starting families, and it's time for him to grow up. He is a Office over all of IT and living like a twenty year old. Danny and Little Ben help him transition to life on his own.

Marty is a prison of the human trafficking ring the MCs have been shutting down. They are forcing her to hack the MCs filed, for member information and financials using her daughter against her.

Aubry is a special abilities child, a seer and healer. Knew Geek was ment to be her father and protector, the moment he rescued her. Like Tess she has to learn how to be a little girl. Little Ben, Jeremy and the little brothers and sisters are their to help. When its learned that a betrayal by a respected MC was the reason they ended up in the hands of the traffickers, Aubry gains two older half sisters that adore her.

The MCs and Baxter's have merged. Marty gets a chance to shine when she is called to help run OPs on a mission, earning Knights respect. The Old Ladies are proud one of their own crack the MCs boys club.

Little Ben and his officers are ready to break away and form their own chapter, with the support of the club the grew up in. Little Ben shocks many of the club by making women officers in his club.

Loved the Baxter's, Mitch joining the old ladies can only be a good thing.

Love this series!

This has been one of those series that once you start you get drawn in right from the beginning. The complex and highly imaginative storylines are so captivating you won't be able to put them down. The premise in these books is about sharing our strong (SOS) . These hot and sexy Alpha's are all about brotherhood and protecting their women and children.
Geek who is the main protagonist in this book has been part of the Mc since he was sixteen. He's fiercely loyal and devoted to his brothers. What unfolds is an amazing story of the worst depravity there is against women an children but then the truly wonderful resilience and courage of both, not only from the brothers but the whole Mc family. The young are growing up and becoming men in their own right.without giving away too many spoilers as this book unfolds things fall into place.
This book will make you laugh and cry. Can't explain how much these characters become almost real. The detail and foresight are truly awesome. This is a definite must read series and book.

I loved this story! I'm so freaking excited that Geek finally got his book and a family! This book deals with some very dark issues. No explicit details just hinting at what has happened. It was handled extremely well and left me feeling emotional for the characters. I love the characters in all the books but have always had a soft spot for Geek. He really shines and shows he is so much more than just the IT guy. These books all show women with very strong wills and personalities. This book, especially, shows this in Marty. She is absolutely amazing! She had unspeakable things done to her and her child and came out so much stronger and more determined to make a happy and normal life (a better life). As always with this series there is plenty of humor and alpha caveman yummy goodness. The story is great and filled with love, laughter, danger, and most of all hope. I can't wait to start the next series Princes of Prophecy! I hope everyone who reads Geek's story loves it as much as I did!

clean mc hunting human traffickers rescue a captive woman and her trafficked daughter. love story follows. suggest read this series in order for back story. the older "little brothers and sisters" move away and start their own chapter. hope we get stories about this new chapter next. the new chapter includes young people from the mc, the Baxters, and the reservation. leaves the main mc shorthanded and a woman starts working ops. bet the mc misses their now independent and adult children. we find 2 current and inner betrayals both of which are a surprise. plus an older betrayal from a deceased and previously well respected member, one of the original crew. a betrayal that resulted in that trafficked child and her mother raped and tortured. Reread in September, 2018. Good, solid story! Old favorite, re-read again in august 2020.

I enjoyed this as I do all of L. Ann Marie's MC books. However, I want more from her about our main female characters. Great continuation of the MC and Little Brothers storyline and Geek is awesome in this - my only issue was why he fell for Marty - she didn't seem to have much to offer other than being the mother of Aubrey who Geek adores. I miss the strong females like Jess and Kate! Those were some kick-ass ladies who brought something to the whole MC table. - Actually as a side note - I'd like more of Jess and Kate overall!

I'm also wondering if there's a character chart available? I get a little lost with the kids and who they belong to and what powers they have. Plus multiple characters with the same names gets a little confusing to me as well.

Overall - this was a fun read and I can't wait to see where the Little Brothers take us next!!

You definitely want to get to know Geek!!!

This is Geek's book. He an officer and is head of the MC's IT department. He is determined NOT to turn in to a love struck idiot like all the other officers of his club. Then he is called out to do an OP and he rescues a little girl named Aubrey and her mother Marty. Marty's captures took her ability to talk and kept her daughter away from her. . Can Geek help put this mother and daughter back together? Can Marty and Aubrey mend there relationship? Is Marty 'the one' for Geek? You have to read the book to find out. It is so worth it.

This was a hard book to read due to the subject matter, but I did enjoy it. Moniz is picked by 5 year old Aubrey to protect her and her mom Marty abducted by traffickers. The Mc throws the usual protection on the two, but it shows that Geek is all in for both girls. Aubrey has some freaky kid skills and Jeremy is drawn to her. Will the MC let an old lady (Marty) become part of HS ops IT. This is a milestone for the guys as they pride themselves to be protective of their girls, but Marty has proven abilities to protect the families and the brothers. MC: Moniz was high up on my favorites list with Blackhawk and Callahan. 5 gold bikes for an excellent story.

Absolutely fantastic book!

I loved Geek's story with Marty. There were so many storylines in this book but I saw the segue to the Prince of Prophecy MC books. I have been sucked in to this series and just re-read them to pick up the new Prince books. I was a little heart broken with the Aubrey and Marty's story but the development was great! Geek was adorable when he has his epiphany moment of getting his girls. Loved the whole book, characters, and storyline! I hope there is more ;)

Oh boy!

Geek, Marty and Aubrey rock! Geek is one of my favorite guys. Love that he's smart and badass at the same time. The other guys are smart too but for some reason I find a nerdy guy who can take care of business super sexy. Marty is just as cool and takes her place up there with Mitch and Carolina thus pulling the MC into the 21st century. Also loved seeing the kids growing up. Can't wait to see what the Princes do.

Like revisiting old friends while meeting new ones. This story lets you experience Geek and his lady love Marty as they meet and experience life. It's got some bad issues that the club makes right but it's not horribly graphic just talked about. It's got an HEA, kickass sassy women and amazing kids...oh and hot sexy bad**s bikers. Author really writes interesting stories.

I loved this book as I have all the others in the series.

I wish that there would be a listing of characters in each book released from now as was previously done a few books back to help keep everyone straight.

Favorite MC book

It's not your typical MC book and that could be why I love it so much. It's about protecting and building up the women of the MC . The men are still bikers, but underneath they have hearts of gold when it comes to taking care of their women.

Tom "Geek" Moniz - computer guru and head of IT for the MC

Amber Martha "Marty" Druid - trying to hack into MC files

Aubrey - daughter of Marty, held hostage until her mom can get into the MC files

Arial- lived 6 months with Geek until he throws her out

Shelly - "madame" in the MC clubhouse

Lily & Brenda - Casper's daughters, Aurey's half sisters

------------

The FYI starts with the background of Geek, Marty and Aubrey. All had a hard beginning in life.

Next we meet Arial who has lived with Geek for 6 months. Once he figures out she has been with other men he kicked her out. Shelly makes sure all of her stuff is packed and out in her car so nothing is left of her when Geek gets back to his room.

The Little Brothers will be leaving. They will be taking over the property they own in Rhode Island that the Outlaw's had owned before they were taken out. The property is at the beginning of the I95 corridor. About half of the kids will be going along with a few HS and family from the reservation will join them.

After some soul searching with the brothers, Geek decides they are correct. H needs to move out of the clubhouse and get a place of his own. When he tells Danny, Danny takes him to a house in the backyard that he has remodeled for Geek . . . furniture, food, safe room and office all things he needs and meets with his personal likes. He's amazed but he knows that is how the brotherhood works.

Things are looking up for Geek. He learns to shop for groceries and has no idea how much he needs. remember, he has lived in the clubhouse all these years and everything is provided for him so this is all new.

The 1st crisis introduces Aubrey and Marty who, we find out, were in one of the earliest visions Christian had. Marty was meant for Geek and Aubrey was his daughter, only Casper intervenes and history got changed. But now, it looks like it might be on the right track..

This took me forever to read. Not because it was bad but had other things happening. However, this was not my fav. I loved Geek and Marty together and Aubrey was in a class all her own. Of all the books this had the most sensitive and disturbing subject. The way that Geek and Marty got together just magically happened it seemed. No background no nothing - bam - they are together. Again, there was a lot going on and the dynamics of the kids and all that they can do, etc. it gets to be too much at times and confusing. Always enjoy the banter between the guys...gives a good laugh.
