Determined to figure out why she has an element she shouldn't have, her parents take her to a secluded island to keep her safe from anyone who might want to experiment on her.
There she meets Noah, a boy who seems to know a lot about her elements. As he introduces her to a group of a new kind of elementals who are more powerful than anyone could have imagined, she doesn't know if she can trust them, especially because the group's leader, Jaiden, has an extremely dangerous ability.
But when her parents get kidnapped by a mysterious man, she has no choice but to turn to Noah and Jaiden for help.
Invisible (Book 2)
Moira faces new challenges as she finds herself in the hands of the enemy. Determined to escape and keep everyone she cares about safe, she has to do things she's never even dreamed of doing, including trusting the one who betrayed her...
Monster (Book 3)
Moira goes back to Elemontera as a double agent with one goal: to destroy it. But as her elements get more and more out of control, she could end up doing things that will haunt her forever.

En samling med de tre första böckerna i serien Tainted Elements som handlar om Moira som är en elemental, en person som kan forma element som hen vill. Hon har luft som sitt element, men en dag har hon plötsligt även eld som sitt element och det är ovanligt att ha två element samtidigt.
Efter det börjar saker hända. Hennes föräldrar kidnappas för att hon ska tvingas arbeta för sin fiende Elemontera och hon gör saker hon aldrig trodde hon skulle göra, samtidigt försöker hon hitta en väg ut och hålla de hon tycker om på säkert avstånd. Men kan hon lita på någon som tidigare förått henne?
Med oväntad hjälp flyr hon från Elemontera till en ny motståndsgrupp där hon återförenas med sina föräldrar. Men Moira tar sig tillbaka in i Elemontera för att förstöra det för alltid. Under tiden hon är där börjar hennes element bete sig konstigt och det blir svårare för henne att kontrollera dem. Tappar hon kontrollen kan vad som helst hända och ingen går säker oavsätt om de är vän eller fiende.
De tre första böckerna heter Diffrent, Invinsible och Monster, det finns tre böcker till i serien. Jag gillar denna serie och vill gärna läsa fortsättningen. Gillar verkligen karaktärerna, speciellt Moira och Jaiden som man får veta mera om under tiden man läser. Vissa delar är mer intensiva och det varvas bra med lite lugnare delar som ger en bra rytm i läsandet. Och slutet i bok tre blev ett oväntat slut som jag inte tänkt mig, ett slut som gör mig nyfiken på hur det ska gå och jag vill bara veta mer.

Good read
Can’t wait to read the rest of the books! I wasn’t sure I was going to like this series when I first started but the further into it I got the more I wanted to know what was going to happen.

Imagine X-men only with elements and you have the Tainted Elements series. Moira is a typical teenager who finds herself calling up blue flames and controlling air. That would be really cool if it wasn't that Elementals are only suppose to have one power instead of two. Her parents load her into an airplane and take her to some place that can help her with her disease. It is there Moira realizes there are more people like her and they are taught to control their unique powers.
I liked this series. It is a nice change of pace with endearing characters and a great story. I was very fond of Moira and liked how she tried hard to handle her problems instead of blame others. I recommend this to teen girls as well as guys. The series continues in 4, 5, and 6.
