Meet Nick, Simon, Deacon, Jazz and Gray aka Oblivion
This book is about how the group gets together. Told alternatively from Nick and Simon's pov, you get to know how it's hard for a band to be discovered and how it's even more difficult to get along when you are all so different.
I gave the book 2 stars because I didn't really connect to either guys. They were selfish assholes from the beginning and I couldn't get over how they were acting towards the other members of the group.
For a prequel, this book was a full-length book and sometimes I got bored with them.
I think it's a good thing to know how the band had a hard time to find a venue to play their songs,...
It's only when Jazz and Gray came in the picture that things seems to be more interesting for them.
They began to draw the attention and eventually succeed in getting a song to be produced.
All group members are going to have their books of course and I'm more impatient to read about Deacon – Gray and Jazz then the two others I already read about.
Rocked
The group got the chance to be the Opening act of another group for their 6 weeks tour. In this first book, we finally learn more about Deacon, the bassist of the group.
He is more discreet and he's also always the voice of reason of the group. He's often a little behind but he immediately draws attention because he's very tall.
From the start, he catch Harper's eye who's a new Chef in this tour but who still has to prove she can work by herself
She meets Deacon who comes to eat to the catering and she's not used to give her attention to musicians. She tries to avoid them as much as possible due to a bad experience.
Harper is maybe a new Chef but this is not her first tour. Her parents were roadies so she knows how it goes.
At the beginning, she tries to resist to Deacon but how can she avoid such a charming guy?
Yet she doesn't want to get attach and she doesn't want to give too much importance to something that will not last. She just want to have a good time.
Deacon on the other hand quickly recognized that the young woman sticks to his skin quite unexpectedly. No other girl draw his attention completely the way Harper does. He knows she is sensitive when it comes to feelings, so he will try his best to be as gentle and caring as he can.
This book is not only about two people who get to know each other and who will finally fall in love. It's also about Oblivion as a group and its future. It's about how the 5 members will learn to live together on a tour bus, how they will get along and how they will make music together.
I could have given 4 stars to this book but at some points I was very long - too long, too many unnecessary details, some unnecessary scenes which didn't really bring anything to the main story.
Some parts were too repetitive and at the end there was unnecessary drama
I understand the need to see the evolution of the group and how they get to the top but maybe it could be spread throughout other books with other group members or try to integrate it better to Deacon and Harper's story.
And at the end, one more time I hated Nick and Simon for their selfish ways and they almost ruin everything for me!
Do I want to continue with this series? Hell yes! Jazz and Gray are next and I'm dying to get to know them. Gray has a mystery with him and I want to know all the darkness the guy has to hide.
And then Nick and Simon's story will be a blast for sure. Because even if I hate those two assholes, I can't wait to see them grovel and I can't wait to see their woman put them at work!
Rock, Rattle & Roll
I'm sorry but it's really impossible for me to read this now. I love how things ended for Deacon and Harper and I like their HEA as it is. I don't want to read a small novella about some more drama for them even if I know it will end positively.
I will read it someday but for now I only want to know more about Gray and Jazz so this novella will have to wait

What an incredible opening to the best rock romance series I’ve read. This wonderful duo of writers certainly know how to highjack your attention with their beautifully expressive prose, charismatic characters, appealing plot and sexy passages.
The Opening Act bundles together Seduced, Rocked and Rock, Rattle and Roll. The prequel, first novel and novella respectively of the Lost in Oblivion series, plus three bonus scenes. It’s a whole lot of sinfully sexy rock gods in one package.
I thought Seduced, the prequel, would be something along the lines of a novella or short, but I would consider this a full length piece.
Told from Simon (Oblivion’s lead singer) and Nick’s (lead guitarist) alternating points of view. We not only get to see how this band of five misfits got together and found fame through their cohesion in music but we also get to better know the two men that started it all. Their fears, secrets and hopes and how they coped with it all.
It was funny, sexy, sweet and touching to see how Jazz fit in this testosterone fueled group. There’s a lot a drama she’s got to face and I’m sure it’ll be an interesting ride.
Rocked, the first novel in the series focuses on Oblivion’s bassist Deacon and one of the tour’s chefs, Harper. It’s a story about love, music, and friendship that will tantalize all your senses with its rich descriptions and alluring plot and will leave you happy, sated and curious about what’s next for this so very different but great group of characters.
This book is not a cliché story about a “whorey” bad boy musician that meets a sweet girl and changes his deviant ways. It’s not even just about a boy and a girl. It’s a story about a rock band that loves music and wants to make it big. It’s also about a career minded woman with ambitions of her own.
Harper is an independent, carefree woman that grew up with roadie parents who were constantly on the road. Besides being solely interested in staying unattached, she has built an immune system to artists mainly because she understands what happens in that lifestyle. “Women are a commodity, a vice, and a temptation.” Focusing on her career working as a chef on tour won’t be a problem. Or so she thinks.
Deacon McCoy “is the definition of a Boy Scout.” “With a merit badge in hot.” And underneath his tall, tatted and talented exterior lay a patient man, “the backbone for everyone,” determined to lead his band to success.
They didn’t expect each other, but once they crossed paths it seemed like they were destined to be together.
Besides giving us great characters and plot, Taryn Elliot and Cari Quinn have crazy writing skills. Rocked is funny, flirty, swoony and oh so darn sexy. It’s also filled with beautiful descriptions and analoagies that will make your mouth water when their talking about food,
I loved how the metaphors made me picture all the sights the characters witnessed, imagine the great music they produce even when you don’t know the tune or lyrics, and overall it made me experience intense emotions through their words.
Rock, Rattle and Roll, a novella about Deacon and Harper is a celebration of love, a time for tenderness and pleasure in an intimate and secluded place that holds special meaning to them. I won’t go into more detail because I don’t want to give anything away.
I love having more of my favorite characters. And getting a novella full of this delectable sexy couple is a treat. But it’s more than just them moving forward in their relationship and learning how to navigate together through life’s many twists and turns.
This is also a great setting for what’s to come, leaving the door open for more stories of Oblivion’s colorful and eclectic band members.
The bonus material, one with more Deacon and Harper and two from Jazz’s perspective is the perfect set up for the next book in the series: Twisted.
Besides the romance, I truly love the writing and how the authors always come back to the music. I can’t wait to experience all of the band members’ unique stories.

Wayyyyyy too long and too sappy. Also, there was sex on literally every other page. I love me some steamy sex but after like the 50th sex scene between Deacon and Harper, I was just skipping pages by the boatload to make it to the end. Maybe this would've been easier to digest if I read them in individual books instead of books 1-3. And of course, the main characters I wanted to see fall in love (Simon, Gray) weren't discussed too much in these particular books. Don't think I can hang on for the rest of the series.

Seduced: This book mainly introduces you to the members of Oblivion.....Simon, Nick, Deacon, Gray and Jazz. The story is told in alternate POV between Nick and Simon. Nick is the lead guitarist and Simon is the lead singer. They started it all. Through them, we get to see how it all started, the ups and the downs, and also get an up close and personal view of their individual hopes and fears and their coping mechanism. Loved every page!
I honestly think that all the books in this series can stand on its own, but I wouldn't miss reading Seduced before any of them. It's not a short novella. It's a full length intro into the band members. And some of the things that happen in this book are going to later bit some people in the butt! ;) (Ive read all the books out so far so I can tell you this! lol)
Rocked: This is Deacon's story. I would best describe Deacon as the father of the band. He is the steady one, hence, the title lol. Until, of course, Harper....not so steady now are ya? lol Harper is their chef while they are on tour. She has a background in music as both her parents were roadies. She is absolutely NOT interested in any rocker romance because she knows very well how the lifestyle is. Well, she can be uninterested all she wants to, but Deacon has other plans for them! This story was deliciously sexy and funny and flirty and GAH, I love these two!
Rocked Rattle and Roll: This is a novella story that continues Deacon and Harper's love :) their honeymoon! But you dont just get a honeymoon, you also get a set up of what is yet to come with these guys. PLUS we get bonus material that is instrumental in the set up of the next book ... Twisted.

First thing first. Jimi. Not Jimmy. Jimi. I'm chalking this up to one of those pesky autocorrect errors though because I've seen it other books and I refuse to believe that any author that writes a book about a band or music lover doesn't know the proper spelling of one of the greatest/influential guitarists in rock n roll.
That's done, now onward.
The Opening Act is a bundle of the first books in the Lost in Oblivion series. I've already read the latter two, so I'm just going link those reviews in here and discuss the first novella in this series, Seduced.
Seduced takes us back to the very beginnings of the band Oblivion. For those who've read the latter two books prior to this one, it gives you some insight on that tension that is oft mentioned between Jazz, Nick and Gray. And boy was the reason for that tension interesting. Their story was probably the most interesting in the book and really makes me intrigued to see how everything is going to turn out between all of them. As for the rest of the book, it is lots 'o sex and teases the future love lives of a couple of the band members.
So. Overall, I'll give this bundle 3 stars. I think that Rocked was by far the strongest book with Seduced probably being the weakest. We could have gotten this backstory in the characters' books rather than a separate one and it would not have made the slightest difference. Still, it was a good read for what it was.

Three stories for free!! The full length novel (ROCKED) was great--the two short stories were good--totally enjoyed this--

This bundle contains the first three books in the Oblivion series. The first is a prequel, the second book is a novel and the last is a novella. The great thing is that since the books really should be read in order, this gives you that opportunity at a great price.
I started reading the first book Seduced, with excitement. Some sexy alpha style rockers and their journey to stardom. It is obvious early on the band has issues. Their drummer is in rehab and Nick can't seem to write any new songs. Without his knowledge Deacon and Simon have been talking to yet another guitar player, Gray, and possibly his girl, Jazz would be a drummer. Nick is reluctant but with time they work together and eventually get a lucky break and a shot at fame.
I really found myself struggling to connect with any of the characters. Seriously, I don't know if any of the guys are all that appealing. Yes they all may be sexy rock gods but they are also total players. And really the drama between Jazz, Gray and Nick was simply too much for me. While some may have found the scene hot I just found it to be disturbing. And especially with how things went down after that I just can't figure out what is going to come of this trio.
I was hoping for more substance to come in the second book Rocked and I was not disappointed. After the teaser of characters introduced in the prequel, we get Deacon's story. Deacon never came across as a jerk in the first book so I was excited to see what more we would learn about him. Interestingly he takes an interest in one of the chefs on tour with the band, Harper. If someone could go toe to toe with a hot rockstar, it was definitely her. Harper has been on the road almost all her life. With parents as roadies, being a chef on tour made sense, but bad experiences have led her to stay away from her clients.
Deacon doesn't give up in his pursuit of Harper and they get a chance not only at some hot one on one time but at developing a relationship. His stage name Demon doesn't fit his character as he is really nice and caring for Harper. Yes most of it seems about lust, but with Deacon it goes deeper and eventually Harper realizes she feels the same.
This book was great in the way it not only told their love story but how well it incorporated what is happening with the band. Things have gotten so much better for the group that started out in a laundromat, but when things seem to be too good, there is likely some trouble lurking ahead.
The ending was pretty good as we get a HEA for the couple and a HFN for the band. Honestly, as Deacon messed up I was hoping there was gonna be some more groveling on his part, but he comes through with more than I had expected. What I loved is that you get what you want. To explain, when I finish a book about a couple I have enjoyed, I find myself wishing we could get just a little more. I often want to know what happens next. Even in a series, we normally only get a glimpse of a couple again and never the details we are craving. Well this novella gives you the details.
After a crazy schedule has ensued, Harper and Deacon take a break and take the honeymoon that never happened. We get more of the steamy scenes that filled their first book and we get to enjoy them as a couple a little longer. Then of course something comes along to mess up their perfect time together. I had mixed feelings on everything that goes down. At first glance, Harper really bothered me with the way she handled everything. But with more thought I realized her reaction was probably spot on. This couple, though married, really doesn't know that much about each other as it has only been a few months of time spent together. Keeping that in mind, I guess I understand why she freaked.
Like the other books, this one intermingles itself with the band as well and more of the tension and drama that is most likely to come in the rest of the series is palpable. On a side note, the end of this book contains some bonus scenes including the memorable trio moment in the prequel. Can't wait to see what Jazz and Gray's story will be.

I started reading the first book Seduced, with excitement. Some sexy alpha style rockers and their journey to stardom. It is obvious early on the band has issues. Their drummer is in rehab and Nick can't seem to write any new songs. Without his knowledge Deacon and Simon have been talking to yet another guitar player, Gray, and possibly his girl, Jazz would be a drummer. Nick is reluctant but with time they work together and eventually get a lucky break and a shot at fame.
I really found myself struggling to connect with any of the characters. Seriously, I don't know if any of the guys are all that appealing. Yes they all may be sexy rock gods but they are also total players. And really the drama between Jazz, Gray and Nick was simply too much for me. While some may have found the scene hot I just found it to be disturbing. And especially with how things went down after that I just can't figure out what is going to come of this trio.
I was hoping for more substance to come in the second book Rocked and I was not disappointed. After the teaser of characters introduced in the prequel, we get Deacon's story. Deacon never came across as a jerk in the first book so I was excited to see what more we would learn about him. Interestingly he takes an interest in one of the chefs on tour with the band, Harper. If someone could go toe to toe with a hot rockstar, it was definitely her. Harper has been on the road almost all her life. With parents as roadies, being a chef on tour made sense, but bad experiences have led her to stay away from her clients.
Deacon doesn't give up in his pursuit of Harper and they get a chance not only at some hot one on one time but at developing a relationship. His stage name Demon doesn't fit his character as he is really nice and caring for Harper. Yes most of it seems about lust, but with Deacon it goes deeper and eventually Harper realizes she feels the same.
This book was great in the way it not only told their love story but how well it incorporated what is happening with the band. Things have gotten so much better for the group that started out in a laundromat, but when things seem to be too good, there is likely some trouble lurking ahead.
The ending was pretty good as we get a HEA for the couple and a HFN for the band. Honestly, as Deacon messed up I was hoping there was gonna be some more groveling on his part, but he comes through with more than I had expected. This is a three-book collection -- a novella, a novel, and then another novella. It's a long series and the story continues past these three books. The first novella introduces all the characters and the drama between them -- a struggling band adds a new drummer and guitarist and begins to find success. The fault lines are the stress between the new and legacy members as the band, as well as tensions between the legacy band members over control of the band. There is a lot going on here, but the authors do a good job of setting everything up.
Once that's done, we go on to the novel, the first full love story, set during the band's first tour. The authors did a good job of presenting a plausible picture of tour life and the impact of growing fame. But overall, the book felt really, really long . . . like a third of it could have easily been cut. And I'm not a fan of plots that resolve only because one of the MCs give up their dream (especially when the person giving up their dream is a woman). Because the book was so long and there was little character development aside from the two MCs, it felt like the other members of the band were just regularly popping in, saying the same sort of thing, and then popping out. There were few scenes that felt dynamic. And so much of the drama is coming from the characters being in forced proximity -- this worked for the tour scenes, but I couldn't imagine why they felt like they had to live together 24/7 given how much conflict there is between various members of the band.
The collection ends with a honeymoon novella which really is only going to be of interest to hard-core fans of the couple. This one has a surprise pregnancy subplot. I had a mixed reaction to this. I didn't like how pressured Harper felt to continue her pregnancy especially given that the couple had never discussed children at all. I did appreciate that abortion was at least discussed, given how many books don't even acknowledge that it is an option.
Writing a quality rock star romance is hard, too many of them are just completely unrealistic or the guy is a total jerk. This is heads above some I've read recently. This is a series that I would consider continuing if it is at the right price point . . . especially if the stories were tighter.

Seduced...... The Prequel
This book is a full length prequel to a series that will knock your socks off.
It introduces us to the band Oblivion and I think the authors say it best at the beginning of this book when they say "Seduced is the love story of the band Oblivion"
It had me hooked from the beginning and kept me up late reading as I didn't want to put it down. I loved the alternating points of views told from the view of two lifelong best friends Nick and Simon. Even when they fight, they are best friends, and man do they wail on each other at one point. I wanted to hand them each a bag of ice.
But I would need it back for a hot, hot, hot, threesome scene, that will at least have you reaching for a cool drink.
I could tell you about the story or plot, but you really should just dive in and read, you won't be sorry you did.
Each member of the band is going to get their own story and I can't wait to find out who they each end up with, how fast and hard they fall and what will happen to Oblivion when it happens.
Call me a groupie, but I will be pre-ordering each book when possible, so I don't miss a date of the tour !
Rocked........ Book 1
This book kicks off the series proper and does so with a bang not a whimper.
The first band member to find his HEA is Deacon and he finds it with chef Harper Pruitt. Their story is the perfect mix of hot, fun, tender, fast and did I mention hot ? Cause it is. I may have stayed up way too late reading them. I loved their story.
“I knew if I kissed you it would be amazing, but this?” He punctuated the question with a breath-stealing kiss. He gripped her ass with each hand. “I didn’t know it would be like this.”
Deacon and Harper go through a lot in this book but then so does the band. But through it all, ok most of it ( it wouldn't be a romance novel otherwise) they have each other and watching them fall for each other was so much fun.
There was just something so right about them finding each other and then fighting both what they are feeling, time frames and distance to be together that makes it so readable. Plus the fact that Deacon and Harper are combustible together doesn't hurt.
If you read Seduced and fell for the guys and girl of the band, then you are going to want to devour this book. There are so many memorable scenes that I have pages of highlights, but my favourite will always be the golf course. You will understand when you get to it.
I loved every page of this book and it left me grinning like a fool and I bet it will do the same for you dear reader. Like Seduced all I will say is READ THIS BOOK !
Rocked, Rattled and Roll...... Book 1.5
I have to start with this, it's so good to get a follow up novella and so soon. I loved these characters so to catch up with them again and find out how life is treating Mr & Mrs McCoy is fantastic.
This novella is freaking awesome. I won't give too much away but let me say that the tittle is perfect for the events that happen within this story.
I devoured this story. I couldn't read it fast enough. So much happens, when you aren't fanning yourself at their bedroom antics you will be holding your breath and saying 'holy crap' a lot.
But the ending......perfect. It gives us an answer and leads to the next book perfectly. I can't wait to dive into Jaz and Gray's story.
Sit back, relax and dive into this novella, you know you want to.

The Opening Act is a boxed set consisting of three books in the Lost in Oblivion series by bestselling authors Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott: a prequel novella entitled Seduced, the first novel entitled Rocked, and another novella entitled Rock, Rattle, & Roll. If you're reading the three separately, they should be read in the order listed above. The boxed set also includes several bonus scenes, two of which are Christmas-related and one that has an alternate POV from an integral part of the first novel.
Nick Crandall, Simon Kagan, Deacon McCoy, Gray Duffy, and Jazz Edwards make up the band that is Oblivion and the series basically covers their struggles as individuals and as a group, both professionally and personally. Okay, I'm just going to go ahead and say it: I am officially hooked on this series and after reading all those hundreds of pages, I couldn't help but grin. I was a satisfied and happy camper and while my opinion of Nick has been flip-flopping as I moved from one book to the next, I am simply smitten by Deacon. Goodness, I get why Harper can't seem to get enough of him! The other members have also piqued my curiosity and I'm interested to see what happens with Simon and his violin girl and Gray and Jazz. I'm also pretty sure Nick will have me cheering for him again when we get to his own book.
I've read my fair share of rock star romances but what I'm truly loving about the Lost in Oblivion series is that we get to see the highs and lows of the band and each of the members, making me become more invested in them as a whole and separately. I want happily ever afters for them in both professional and personal arenas because these five have obviously struggled and are reaching high for their brass ring. SEDUCED
This is a very mature story with adult themes that may not be appreciated by other readers. Seduced is the story of the rise of a band that started with two best friends who played guitars to forget about their troubled home lives as kids. Adding and subtracting band members and a You Tube video rising in popularity started opening doors for these five young people.
The story is well-written but it was a little difficult for me to read. Each band member has their own demons to battle and some of those hit a little too close to home for me. The book is raw, edgy, funny, and has smokin’ hot sex scenes. But it also has pain, infighting, addiction, jealousy, obsession, and a pretty ugly love triangle that threatens to shake up the group.
This story was one heck of a roller coaster ride. Cari and Taryn did a fantastic job of creating and really humanizing these characters. I could deeply empathize with their pain, suffering, triumphs and failures. There were a lot of adult themes addressed in the book that I didn’t particularly like but that doesn’t mean other readers won’t enjoy the portrayal of the rock star lifestyle. A good gut-wrenching read.

I usually stay away from rock star books because of the misogynistic/womanizing/drinking/druging lifestyle, but after reading the prequel novella, Seduced, I had to know more about Oblivion.
I was so glad to see the role reversal in the storyline. Deacon’s done the love’em and leave’em scene and wants something more substantial. However, that all changes when Deacon loses his heart the first time he meets the snarky chef who refuses to give him her name.
Harper has grown up on the road around musicians her whole life. She knows what they do and is not going to fall victim to some sweet talkin’ rocker who just wants one thing. Deacon is slowly destroying her stereotype and stealing away her heart a piece at a time. She can only promise Deacon five weeks but as she spends more time with him, she’s finding it more difficult to keep him away and realizes she’s in a lot of trouble. She’s fallen in love with a rocker. And the even bigger dilemma, what’s going to happen after the tour is over?
Oh my goodness! I absolutely LOVED this story. I couldn’t put the book down. I was falling in love with Deacon faster than Harper was. I love a monogamous man! This is an amazing story of hope, not just for Deacon and Harper, but for each member of the band. We witness the turmoil between bandmates as they uncover some of the ugly truths about the music business, which unfortunately causes a lot of strife and betrayal.
The story is amazing and I’m deeply in love with all the characters. I can’t wait for Deacon and Harper’s novella to come out as well as the next full length book featuring Gray and Jazz’s love story.

The synopsis says it all! You’ll have to pick it up to find out what future roadblocks are in store for the newlyweds and Oblivion. I will tell you though that I really wanted to shake Harper for being such a—for lack of a better word—butthead! I love Deacon’s character and how he handles the news and how he supports his wife unconditionally…especially when she is being a butthead!
It’s a great read and easily relatable. I’m looking forward to Gray and Jazz’s story next!!

The Opening Act is a complication of the first three acts of The Lost in Oblivion series. Now, I’ve already read all of those (Seduced, Rocked & Rock, Rattle & Roll) so you might wonder why I read this. Two words: Bonus Scenes. One particular bonus scene was worth the whole darned thing. I’ll get to that.
Overall Rating: 5 stars- Screw sleep! I’ll let the kids watch TV and eat hot dogs tomorrow.
Of course, I’m going to give this 5 stars. I loved these three books, I love this series, I love these authors and I love all these characters. BUT, seriously, let’s just talk for a moment.

See, in Seduced (which you really should have read by now COME ON, get with the program!) there is one of THE hottest scenes in all of my memory of hot scenes. (And I started reading hot scenes long before I should have.) Yes, the threesome scene. And in this complication you get not just the book it originated in (Seduced) BUT you get that scene from another point of view – Jazz’s. And let’s be frank, we were all reading that scene wishing we were Jazz, so that was awesome.
After so long of having no one touch her, she craved this. Two pairs of hands on her flesh might finally warm up the block of cold deep inside.
Now, there are some other great bonus scenes, too. I love anything that has the gang together. I love the kinship and banter between the boys and the camaraderie between the girls. They’re all great. If you haven’t already started this series, The Opening Act is the way to go. Nearly 900 pages of Deacon, Jazz, Simon & Nicky. :swoon:

It starts with a prequel of how the band formed, then a novel that centres around one of the band members, and lastly a novella following on from that story.
When I first started reading I was a little hesitant. It starts off in a moment of time where the 3 current members are having a argument and it took me a few pages to get my head around who was who etc... But once I got past that I was fine.
The prequel; Seduced, is the story of how the band came to be. It was full of heated arguments and there was a feeling of disconnect during the entire story. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time because you just knew that if one wrong thing was said everything could possibly turn to custard. The band ( at this point -Nick, Deacon and Simon) had just lost its drummer to rehab. They were struggling not only to get recognised, but to write and create music. Deacon the bassist discovers a new drummer, but she comes as a package deal with another guitarist. They don't need another guitarist so the new dynamic causes conflict and adjustment; not made any easier by the triangle between Nick, Jazz (the new drummer) and the new guitarist Gray.
While the band struggled to gel as a group, when they jammed their music was undeniably good. Despite the disconnect and dramas, the band starts getting recognised, and before they know it, they are off on tour which is where the full length novel kicks in.
I will mention that the prequel is told in alternating POV's ; Nick and Simons. I loved Simon and Deacon. Nick is a tad arrogant and more than frustrating throughout the entire box set.
Simon - really hoping he meets back up with 'purple' violin when we gets his own book. Would love that.
The novel - Rocked - is Deacon and Harper's story. It's hot and steamy and everything I love in a book. I completely fell in love with the gentle giant. He was absolutely swoon worthy. Harper's indecisiveness, though understandable was a little frustrating at time. But overall, I loved their story! Harper is one of the chefs on tour and has grown up on the road. She's is cautious of musicians having been burnt in the past but her hesitancy is no match for Deacon's charm.
There were some brilliant scenes in this book, a lot of smut; a serious amount! and the band still played a crucial role in the background giving the book a perfect balance.
One thing I'm certain of, is Nick is a complete douche and the author will really have to work hard at redeeming him in my eyes. I can't wait!
The novella is a carry on of Deacon and Harper's story. I won't give anything away but I could see the 'situation' a mile away! I really did love their relationship, they are a perfect match.
I am looking forward to reading on in the series and seeing where the author takes the other band members and getting a glimpse into the future of Deacon and Harper.
Great read. It took me a while to get through it. All three books together had a estimated reading time of over 14 hours on my kindle. I'm not a slow reader either! It was well worth my time, especially the novel Rocked

You will find the first three books in the series included in this bundle. The first one, Seduced, is a novella introducing the members of the band Oblivion; Deacon, Simon, Nick, Gray, and Jazz. The second, Rocked, tells the story of Deacon in a full novel, and then the third book is another novella which takes us more into the life of Deacon and his lady love.
Seduced (Book 0.5)
This novella takes us to the beginnings of the band and how it was formed. Simon and Nick, lead singer and lead guitarist, respectively, are telling the story in this prequel. When their original drummer, Snake, was sent to rehab, things started falling apart and Deacon, being the one always looking out to better the group, finds another guitarist in Gray, and Jazz becomes the drummer they are looking for.
Things are tense with Nick and Gray from the beginning, but everyone tries to make things work for the good of the band. Jazz, being the only female in the sea of testosterone, adds so much spunk to the whole dynamic.
Rocked (Book 1)
This book tells the story of Deacon McCoy, the band’s bassist, and the woman that finally captures his heart, Harper Pruitt. Harper is the tour chef and doesn’t fall for the sexy rocker. The chase makes it interesting and when they both fall, they fall hard. Having it told in both the POV of Deacon and Harper allows the reader to really understand what they both are feeling and thinking. The book is full of sexy, funny, and intense moments that will capture your heart. The way they use food to describe certain situations is fantastic.

In this book we get to see how the band dynamic changes and everyone begins to feel more of their spot. Although tension is still high, their respective love for music allows them to come together and create the type of songs that appeal to the masses.
Rock, Rattle & Roll (Book 1.5)
This novella, once again told in the POV of Deacon and Harper, gives us more insight into their. Their love grows with each passing moment and it is nice to see just how much they complement each other. There is one situation that has been seen in other books, but is treated very differently in this one. I thought that was a good change. I won’t go into it because I don’t want to give anything away, but it is very interesting.
This bundle also gives us some bonus material. A very interesting scene from Seduced is now told in Jazz’s POV, adding so much more insight into the tense situation between Nick and Gray. Also, we are treated to a perfect set-up for the next book, Twisted (which I am anxious to read).
It was great to have the first three books together so I could just continue with the next as soon as I was done. The series has fun, romance, tension, and all the makings of a great story. I can’t wait to read what is in store for each of the remaining band members.

May 6, 2016I just love Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott's work! This box set sets you up for with the first books in what will become your new favorite series.
Thoughts on Rocked:
Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn have done is again (per usual style). Rocked, well, quite literally, rocked. I loved Harper and Deacon, and Rocked brought all the magic I was hoping for with the prequel that didn't quite hook me.
These two together are a duo clearly just work. While I love their writing separately, together they are a force to be reckoned with.
Harper and Deacon just stole my heart. And I really hope we get to see more of them in future books, in more than just fleeting glances in passing, as I just adored the pair of them. They compliment each other in more ways than one as characters.
Part of the storyline towards the end irked me to no end, and I was ready to throw things at two of the characters. And while the other characters seem to have forgiven, or at least accepted them, I still think they should have rotten tomatoes thrown at them ;)
Thoughts on Twisted and Untwisted:
Dark and gritty with a whole lot of romance sums up Twisted in a nutshell. After loving Harper and Deacon's story, if it's even possible, I fell more in love with the characters from Rocked in this one and am head over heels for this story.
Everything about Twisted felt so right. I have been eagerly anticipating this one for months, and it was everything I wanted, plus more. I love that Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott aren't afraid to dive right into a story that deals with the dark and gritty. That's reality, and if you ask me, the pay off is even more awesome.
This book should likely require a fire extinguisher. Some of the scenes . . . I don't think they even require words. All you need to know is that Jazz and Gray are steaming up the pages. And steaming them up good.
One of the really awesome things about Twisted was the focus on the secondary characters. Getting to see them all again is great, but I felt like in Twisted I really got to know the characters in a way I didn't in Rocked. Which rocked. They all really rounded out, and I found Nick and Simon to be heading up towards the list of my favorites. Also, Lila, who had a more minor role in Rocked, totally stole the stage in Twisted. Gosh, I love her! All the female characters in this book are kickass with a side of sass; I love it.
I'm fairly certain that this dynamic duo destroyed me with this series This is a rock band romance series gone right. A total must read :) It's safe to say I am lost in oblivion.

Tough to review three books at once, but I'll do my best. I already owned Seduced and Rocked, but bought this package because I wanted the deleted scenes, and it was a great deal to get Rock Rattle and Roll. This is hands-down my favorite rock and roll romance series!
I've reviewed Seduced and Rocked elsewhere, but I'll recap.
Seduced: Solidly 4 stars, edging toward 5. LOVED the idea of a prequel before all the love stories begin and I adore how real the band dynamics feel. So messy and interesting and flawed!
Rocked: Wavering between 3 and 4 stars. I adored the band dynamics parts but the love story between Harper and Deacon, while cute, was missing something for me. I feel like there was too much sex and not enough substance.
Rock, Rattle and Roll: About 3.8 stars. The beginning annoyed the hell out of me. Sex, sex, sex...yes I get it's a honeymoon but this is everything that bugged me about the last book. I want to see something ELSE that they can base their relationship on, that's why I read romance, not erotica. But ahhh...about halfway through the book we get to the conflict and that's where we get to see these authors start to shine again. They don't say that everything is perfect and easy just because the characters are in a happy marriage. Conflicts aren't automatically solved by love. There are decisions to make and emotions get in the way of communication and I really liked seeing the couple work this out. The second half of this book was really satisfying, and rescued the first half.
The bonus scenes: The Harper and Deacon one...more sex. Yawn. Jazz's view of the threesome was heartbreaking and added a lot to the scene itself.
I am looking forward to reading more from this series. I've been looking forward to Jazz and Gray's story from the beginning and I'm hoping because of their issues that we will get to see more relationship development before the steamy stuff starts so it will be more satisfying to see them consummate their relationship. These authors are fantastic writers, and keep the plot tension up very well and I am highly impressed by their uncompromising characterization of all these very flawed people. Can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Wow, this is a whole lot of book. Firstly, we have Seduced, the prequel. Here we're introduced to the band, the stage is set and we get to know a bit about each of the band members. We get to see the lifestyle they lead, and as things start happening for the band, how that changes the dynamics. We're treated to some hot, sexy rockers, a brilliant female drummer, and some serious sexual tension.
In Rocked, the main novel, we get to see Deacon's story. Deacon is the bassist, and the most put-together guy in the band, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have his own demons. But this is a romance, so we're treated to seeing the sweetest guy in the rock world in action. Deacon's love interest is Harper, a chef working on tour who's grown up around rock gods her whole life, so she's less than impressed by the whole deal. I love, love, loved Harper. She's one of my favourite female characters in NA of the year. Put her together with Deacon and you've got one of the hottest, most adorable couples in fiction. These two seriously can't get enough of each other, so there's lots of steamy scenes to enjoy. Of course, things can't be plain sailing, especially with the lives these two are leading, so we get a good dose of drama to temper that romance.

First, and most importantly, this is an incomplete review to be honest. I had an issue with my ereader, and this became archived so I wasn't able to reload it on my Nook. I did read the first portion of the bundle, "Seduced" which was the intro (I'm assuming) to the band. Members of Oblivion: Nick, Simon, Deacon, Jazz and Gray. I did not connect with any of the members. Simon was a drunk (like seriously had some alcohol issues), Nick was an ass to pretty much everyone, Jazz and Gray were the new members and truthfully, I'm not sure what's going on with them. It appears that Jazz and Gray grew up together (Jazz was a foster child), but now Gray has feelings for her. Deacon was the only member that I felt remotely interested in. I read "Seduced", then walked away with hopes that I just needed a break. The started out singing in a bar, while living in the basement of a laundry mat. They get "discovered", and get a gig singing for a movie album. Jazz and Nick end up sleeping together (sort of), and the band members are all in disarray.
I typically love band books, but this one just didn't get off to a good start. The guys are jerks, not much in the personality department, and just not enough of a connection was made in the first portion of the bundle.

In this book we get to know the band members. Deacon, Simon and Nick are the original members and Grayson and Jazz join the band when their original drummer Snake goes into rehab. Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
So I had already read Rocked and was looking forward to seeing where they started and where Deacon and Harper went from there. To be honest, I didn't think the prequel novella added much to the story, so I'm going to jump to my review for Rocked.
I have to say, if there are any Deacon's floating around, please send them my way. The man is ideal for sure and what he felt for Harper was tangible, even through the pages. I loved the band dynamic and Harper and Deacon's little trysts. That being said, the book was a little long for me. There were a few too many love scenes (and for me to say that, you know it's a lot) and the entire part with Snake probably could have been cut - it didn't add to the story. Instead, his appearance only made Nick and Simon look like bad guys, something that was already happening with the whole contract.
I loved Jazz, but I needed way more Gray, especially since it's obvious that they are the next pair to get joint up. We hardly even saw the guitarist except on the fringes.
I loved that we got an "epilogue" novella after the wedding. While there were a ton of love scenes - enough that I was actually a little bored - there was also a lot of heart. I saw what was coming, but I loved the way that the author kept true to their characters. I loved that Deacon was there to support Harper, but still had his own feelings about the matter and I loved being able to read what each of them were feeling.
But seriously...anyone know of a Deacon-type walking around????
So I had already read Rocked and was looking forward to seeing where they started and where Deacon and Harper went from there. To be honest, I didn't think the prequel novella added much to the story, so I'm going to jump to my review for Rocked.
I have to say, if there are any Deacon's floating around, please send them my way. The man is ideal for sure and what he felt for Harper was tangible, even through the pages. I loved the band dynamic and Harper and Deacon's little trysts. That being said, the book was a little long for me. There were a few too many love scenes (and for me to say that, you know it's a lot) and the entire part with Snake probably could have been cut - it didn't add to the story. Instead, his appearance only made Nick and Simon look like bad guys, something that was already happening with the whole contract.
I loved Jazz, but I needed way more Gray, especially since it's obvious that they are the next pair to get joint up. We hardly even saw the guitarist except on the fringes.
I loved that we got an "epilogue" novella after the wedding. While there were a ton of love scenes - enough that I was actually a little bored - there was also a lot of heart. I saw what was coming, but I loved the way that the author kept true to their characters. I loved that Deacon was there to support Harper, but still had his own feelings about the matter and I loved being able to read what each of them were feeling.
But seriously...anyone know of a Deacon-type walking around????

Seduced
I'm going to be honest. Seduced Should have been shorter than it was. We get the story of how the band started and the POV of Nick and Simon which does add to the background story of their characters a lot. Maybe I should have read this first instead of Rocked, but I'm still not sure my opinions of Nick and Simon would have changed much.
Oblivion's addition of Jazz and Gray was cool to see and I mean I did like it, I just sort of felt it when on forever.

Okay finally i got through it. I'm sorry but as much as i liked this it dragged on and on and oh on and on again. For someone who is a fast reader, i was taking forever to get through this. I foudn myself skipping pages because I just didn't care enough.
Deacon is a rocker and hot as hell. I liked him a lot. Harper wasn't bad either I liked her character too, but there was something.

I put off reading this one because Harper sometimes rubbed me the wrong way. Deacon is one of those characters you love and no matter what just want to love him hard Harper is something special.
Their honeymoon...well....I knew something would have to happen. Time away from the band, their hectic schedules, and Harper's new business. Finally reconnecting everything is going wonderful until everything changes. It was good but hey wouldn't be true to her characters if Harper didn't push some nerves right ;)

This was a no-brainer for me to read. I love everything that Taryn and Cari write separately, so together should be fantastic. I was so right!! I loved every page of each of the books in this package. We start with Seduced that tells us all about the bad boys and girl in the band, Lost in Oblivion. They are sexy, determined and damn hot!! Seduced is billed as .5 in this series, but it is a full length book that gives you an overall picture of how everything starts for the band. The second book, and the novella are both centered on Deacon and Harper. In so many good ways! Deacon may be a boy scout when it comes to the band, but he's no slouch in the sexy rock god department either. This package is one of the best I've seen for Rock and Roll and for giving you more likely scenarios when it comes to how a real band is. Yes, they are rock stars, but they are people too. Hot, sexy and living the dream, which is sometimes more difficult than we would believe. I cannot wait for more from these ladies! Taryn and Cari know how to make the pages sizzle and reading this kept me up into the small hours of the morning. I can't wait for more from these two!!

I love reading a good rock 'n roll novel. I look for quality not quantity. This means I want to know the characters, what inspires them, what drives them to succeed in such a vicious and unforgiving industry. Also, I look for a cohesive story that has a rhythm to it and is well written. Well, I found it in this book.
This is the Lost in Oblivion Series by Cari Quinn. It is straight-forward, raw, without the trappings of fantasy. Yes, it is a work of fiction, but the plot line and characters are so real, you can almost touch them.
Here we get the story behind how the current members of Oblivion came together. This is a tenuous union. These individuals are not all friends. In fact right away there is tension and sides taken. They come together out of necessity and accidentally stumble into the perfect union of sound and magic. Together, they come up with a unique mix that enthralls the fans. Now the struggle is to improve on it and keep it together despite what is going on in their personal lives.
Seldom do I find such a detailed story of the journey to stardom. Immerse yourself in this story and enjoy!

0.5 seduced we meet the band, we see how it all got started, it's told in 2 povs. it's nice to see how it got started and to see the struggles they go through.
next we have Rocked:
we get to know Sexy Deacon , the bassist and the one who sees good in it all. While on a 6 week tour, Deacon meets the tour cheif Harper and is drawn to her but catering to rock stars is not new for her, she just doesn't care for them due to a bad experience in the past, Harper isn't looking for a relationship but Deacon can't leave her alone and no matter how hard Harper tries to resist Deacon , she'd drawn to him. We also get to see more about the band.
Rock, Rattle, and Roll
We see the depth of Harper and Deacon relationship and we get Jazz's pov which is a great lead into the next book. I'm looking forward to seeing about this band journey and more about Jazz.

Seduced is a really good book, got me from the first to the last page and left me with the "I want more" feeling. It shows the beginning of the Oblivion's band trough the eyes of the lead singer Simon and guitarist Nick. I liked both characters, they're all messed up, the kind you look and see big trouble. Can't wait to read their own books.
Rocked is a love story between Deacon and Harper. It's cute and also goes trough Oblivion's stuff like touring, parties and groupies. It's a pretty hot and good book.
The third book (which is actually the 1.5) was a little too much. As I was reading I felt it was longest than it has to be. I kept reading 'cause I really liked the idea of the book and I wanted to know the entire story of Oblivion. I really hope the next book is going to be better.

Prequel,
Seduced (Lost in Oblivion, #0.5)
was a full length book that started us on the road to fandom for the band.
Book 1, Rocked (Lost in Oblivion, #1) further solidified the addiction to the group.
The last part of this set, Rock, Rattle & Roll (Lost in Oblivion, #1.5) took us on Deacon and Harper's honeymoon trip where a bombshell almost tore them apart before they really had a chance to be together.
Oblivion has an appeal if you like rockers whose lives are filled with lots of drama and angst, considering these people are only in their 20's part of it is they are still growing into adulthood and part of it is just the nature of artistic temperaments in general when too much tension and too many strong willed people find themselves at odds.
