3.5!!
This was definitely the best volume of the series. So much was happening and the suspense part really came to a head in an incredible way. I was really only annoyed by how OTT and unrealistic the characters were in some instances. Like...
How possible is it to remove semen from one's breast and place it in the vaginal canal (passing through the cervix) to impregnate oneself? Especially when there was no mention of a turkey baster or some such implement to assist in the 'delivery'? According to Google (and yes I feckin looked it up), sperm can only survive from 20 minutes to an hour depending on it being in a warm environment. Hmmmm...
There were so many other crazy things this one girl did, but then everyone forgave her!!!! And she was even given her own POVs to show her feckin craziness, like I was supposed to sympathize with her.
So the series on a whole: 3.5 solid stars!!

I knew it!!! I knew Drew was the dad and not Landon, I just knew!!! Ok, now that I got this out of the way... this was definitely my favorite book in the series, I loved it!
I was very happy to finally connect some (many actually) dots and to have Drew's point of view as well. Alexa proved once again to be a very strong female lead, especially after everything she went through. Just WOW. What a monster that husband of hers was.
I'm very happy with how everything was wrapped up and I'm looking forward for more books from Ella Miles. I now perfectly understand what she means when she describe herself as "author of sexy romance with a twist" :) Highly recommended book!

WOW, WOW, WOW....... From beginning to end!!!!!! What in the world just happened???? Well...we do find out what happened to Alex's past, who tried to kill her, who erased her memory, who tortured and raped her repeatedly, who abused her and used her for his own extreme sickness. The ending is a bit brutal.
Drew confess his love for Caroline after all these years of watching her chase after his brother.
Caroline finally confesses to all the lies she has been holding over Landon and Drew!
Landon finds his way to Alex when she most needed him, when life and death was near. His love for her surpasses anything anyone can imagine. They belong together, even death could stand in their way.

This is the fourth and final installment of the Aligned series. They all should be read in order for the reading experience the author intended.
After it's all said and done I think this one has to be my favorite. The others left me wanting and waiting but this final installment brought it all together. All the answers I've been dying for were final revealed. There was so much suspense I was waiting on the edge of my seat page after page. It was angsty which normal bothers me but it did help propel the plot along.
I know people complain about breaking up a book into short reads that can actually be one larger book, but I like it. Sometimes that's all I had time for was a hundred pages or so. The cliffhangers keep me interested while the twisted plot pulled me in with every new installment. Book one had me invested in these characters, within this last book I figured out where it was going but it was worth the ride to get there.
Well plotted executed series that's worth the read!

I finished this one almost a week ago now, and just been contemplating what I wanted to say in my review about it. I have loved this series and in ways hated to see it end with this complete novel. I know there is a novella that sums up their happily ever after which I haven't read yet, but this was the meat of the story. This was the time to finally connect dots that went unanswered until now. My overall opinion of the 4 main parts of the series is that it is a great series. One of the most enjoyable ones I have read in a long time.
The first part of book 4 I had to get used to a kind of different format. In the previous ones we had mostly seen the POV of Alexa, Landon, and Ethan. All of a sudden in book 4 Ethan seems to disappear for huge portions of time, and we start getting POVs of Drew and Caroline alongside Alexa and Landon. It was a bit jarring at first.
When things got really rolling with the plot, it seemed to be non-stop drama and excitement. There were a few things that were implausible and a few things that were very predictable, but overall for the whole series I was very entertained. It is definitely romance with a twist.
I look forward to reading more stuff from the imagination of Ella Miles.

I'm so thankful this is the final book, talk about a cliff hanging thrill ride! Finally you get your closure to this story and it's something else for sure! Alex gets her memory back and it's not a good thing, she's in the middle of a total mess!! Landon has Caroline trapping him for life and Alex trying to let them be the "family" they're destined to be...but nothing is destined and everything is not what it seems!!! There are plot twists and turn all over this story! There were times during Alex's kidnapping that I found the story a bit too dark for my liking and had to skim over some of the more brutal raping and torture scenes, so just a buyers beware/heads up that it takes a dark turn. Thankfully we have a white knight in a shining Tesla to save the day!! My Lord, what a whirlwind this whole series turned out to be!! I'm still recovering!

I have to say that after struggling through book three of this series, I wasn't sure that I was going to like this book, but I had to pick it up because I needed to know the conclusion to the cliffhanger at the end of book 3.
I will say I was swept into the story from the very first page and had a hard time putting it down until the end. There is some crazy twists and I loved it.
However I lost some of the connection to the story at the end because we were just thrown some things that were just a bit too unbelievable or at least we're without some explanation to them... Namely Alex's condition/situation. A few other things just wrapped up a little too easily and cleanly for me after how messy the story got.
However overall, I was happy with the conclusion and liked the way the story ended.

When I started the book, I was thinking, if I made a mistake to start this series. The characters from the book were not so good, and I was unable to feel the special connection with the characters. But as the story developed more and more, I felt good about the story & the characters and my interest grew page by page.
Talking about the story, first of all, the characters - all the characters had felt pain in their life and searching for a relaxing ground to hold, a hand that can soothe their pain. I liked all the character but at the same time, I hated them at the same time. Throughout the book, there were moments when I was in the midst of liking the characters then suddenly a twist and I started disliking them. I think this is the quality of the author. I felt that I like the character of the story when the author wants me to. For that, I'll give full credits to the author.
Now, story, the story of the series is good, full of life & the special thing 'twists', lots of them. These twists made the story beautiful, interesting and attractive at the same time. I liked how the story developed from Book 1 to Book 5, in every aspect. The twists were cherries on the top of the cake. The pace of the story was also good in the whole series. If you start reading the book, you'll never feel that the book is becoming boring and you are losing the interest in characters or the story or the plot. You'll feel bound in the story.
The way author put down the story, the way author wrote the complete series is much appreciable. I love the author style of writing the whole series down.
I would like to recommend the series to those readers who want to see everything in a book i.e., pain, love, drama, romance, thrill, twists and much more.

Dramatic ending was worth reading this series !
I was hesitant about this series. (My reviews for 1-3 already posted) it was hard to rate this series per each book. The first 3 were giving you enough to pique your interest, keep you hooked, but hoping and praying the finals chapters would deliver.... and they DID! As a whole, it was an great series. I think a duet or trilogy would have been more than enough to capture this series as a whole, but I am so glad I didn’t give up!! I will be editing my previous reviews, not the rating. I will also rate and review this series as a whole for the boxed sets.

I'm sitting here looking at the blinking cursor and realizing I haven't quite recovered from the book yet. I'm wondering how do I put into words what I just went through and make it more meaningful than "it was good"? Definitely not for the faint of heart. This episode, more than any of the others, contains scenes and subject matter that may be difficult to read, with some themes that aren't "nice" at all. I’m so very glad to see all of the questions answered and everyone gets exactly what they deserve, but I’m left a little numb after everything this book put me through.

Loved this whole story. Smoking hot sex scenes, romance, some murder mystery, lots of deception, artfully drawn characters, this had it all! I will say it was rather unrealistic at times- like a crazy soap opera. But definitely entertaining! 😜
There are a lot of editing errors which are a bit distracting, but the story is really wonderful if you can ignore those. I'll read more from this author (and hope she's found herself a new copy editor).

Amazing!!!
All I can say is wow! What a ride! This series was amazing! All the characters, Alex, Landon, Caroline, Drew, and even Ethan were so well written. I do feel like Caroline should have had to suffer a bit more for what she put Landon and Alex through but was glad everyone got their HEA, well almost everyone.... I would highly recommend the Aligned series to anyone e who like twists and turns on the way to a HEA. Well done Ella Miles!

Wow!! Just Wow!! Ella Miles has literally kept me on the edge of my seat with this book. I've become so invested with the storyline and characters that the emotional rollercoaster I was on throughout the book has just kept me in a state of anticipation with each breath. There is just no way to read this and not feel some type of emotional connection with the characters and then a physical release when the book ends. And she does provide an extraordinary ending.

I got the first book for free and was sad when it was done. Had to buy the next one to see what happened with Alex and Landon. Couldn't put the book down! You know what happened next...I just had to buy the 3rd and 4th! So many unexpected twists and turns! Loved this series!

Great Series!
Just the right amount of mystery added to Romance to keep the reader intrigued. Characters are interesting and the plot moves quickly. Great hot love scenes filled with surprising twists! Loved all 5 books in the series. I will definitely read more of her books!

An amazing ending to a story that took you on a roller coaster. I absolutely enjoyed this book and the ones that came before it. It is a great read.

I loved this series. By the time Caroline was pregnant I figured it was either Ethan or Drew. Although I never thought Alexa would befriend her. Alexa is a survivor, fighter, an exceptional woman. Landon and Alexa offset each other to make a whole.

I throughly loved reading the Aligned series! Caroline is pregnant with Landon's baby, and Ethan is blackmailing Alex; therefore, Alex has no choice but to go back to Ethan. Exciting and riveting storyline, captivating characters, and a must read love story of two people, Landon and Alex, trying to find their way back to each other.

It's over! And it was a wild ride, that's for sure.
At the end of the third book, we are left with Alexa discovering who raped her and tried to kill her, repeatedly. Although, she didn't reveal who she suspected to us readers, we soon find out that it was the person we all probably suspected.
I half-hoped it wouldn't be the person I thought it was. I was naively hoping for some sort of redemption from said rapist/killer, but after reading about the callous and heinous acts committed by our villain, I have since changed my mind. He can rot.
But Alex's revenge is only one part of this story. We also have a mystery unfolding on the other side of the aisle, in regards to Caroline and her pregnancy. Even if Alex and Landon were able to move on after the return of Ethan, they would now have to deal with Caroline's insane scheming. That is one vindictive woman. She needs to be medicated. Seriously.
I accidentally stumbled upon a spoiler which ruined this pregnancy surprise for me, so I knew what would be revealed, eventually. However, I had absolutely no idea how it had really happened and the 'how' is a lot more surprising than the 'who', in my opinion. The depths that Caroline would go to in order to keep Landon around... Terrifying.
And while the Caroline debacle was crazy enough, Alex has a moment of insanity of her own, willingly putting herself into harm's way in order to get more evidence to convict her rapist/killer and free the innocents that were framed for the crimes. While her intentions were honorable, she finds herself and Landon in a horrific situation that had me hyperventilating.
At the end, I wanted to slap Caroline, shake sense into Drew, kiss and marry Landon, and wrap poor Alex inside a magical bubble for her safety. While I am glad the ending was a happy one, I think Landon is a better person than I am. I don't think I could ever be that forgiving.
In closing...
A gripping ending to an overall amazing series. I look forward to reading about the wedding! Five stunning suns!
