My, my...what a pleasant surprise...i must say i didnt expect that twist...lol

Still reeling from it...

Kinsley Elizabeth Felton is a daddy's rich girl, but not in a spoiled, bratty manner, she 's more of a submissive little pet. She's an honorable student, an honorable daughter, an honorable pupil, an honorable beauty – depending on it but not really kowing how to use it, she's modeling but she's bashfully shy and a bit awkward sexually. But she would make an honorable, expensive trophy with never EVER having a choice in a matter in her young life. Everything in her life was chosen for her, pre-destined, pre-mould to have as a result - a perfect, obedient, silent, passive beauty that would even eventually marry a man that was chosen for her.

 photo MAYBE YES1_zpsskbdilqf.jpg

And somewhere deep in her, she's screaming, she's protesting yet her voice is never heard.
“I don't want to marry a complete stranger.“

But tragic events bring this arranged deal into a dangerous proximity when she's supposed to marry a man she has never met chosen by her grandfather or else she would be dishonored and cut off from her heritage and the „easy“ life she 's been living so far…
So the night before she's about to meet her future husband, she spends her „wild“ night with a random hansome mysterious man she met in one of her family's casinos…
They are strangers, with no future, no promises…with only one goal, to taste the freedom of desire before she's caged for life. And she lets go… gives in to this stranger
His kisses are deep and intense. His kisses are full of promise.

Only to be blindsided by the notion that her stranger was in fact the man she was supposed to marry.

Killian Browne is an ambitious, demanding and determined man who was close working with Kinsley'a father…and his way to achieve the wanted position in Felton Operations company as a CEO is conditioned with an arranged marriage to Kinsley, so the company would stay in the "family" as a tradition.
Now that the truths are out, Kinsley is hurt and betrayed even if they never promised anything to each other in the first place, the sting of being used only burns more when she realizes that Killian knew who she was from the very beginning....even before their "accidental" ecounter.

The lies, the hidden agendas become clearer every awaiting minute, as Kinsley's inner voice and strength slowly and in an aggrivating snale pace come out as she stands for herself, stating her OWN opinions, her OWN desires, making her stand and claiming her right to live HER OWN life, even at the cost of losing everything that was defining her for so long.

As events progress, Kinsley and Killian find a suble way to peace and they even develop a friendship that slowly grows into affection…Killian turns out to be more than the calculating bastard...as it was his facade...she develops true feelings towards him and he's truly a different man...with promises and kindness...

 photo william levy1_zpsd0teym22.jpg

The admitance of that fact, changes the aspects of their relationship and just when she thought the path to her OWN life was somewhat clear, the sudden betrayal, leaves Kinsley in an unsavory position, as she's left to defend her innocence, and fight the shock from the knowledge that Killian turned out to be once again, the ultimate stranger…

Fast paced, suspensful romance drama leaves you in a gulp of messy relations while the story takes you on a one woman's journey in growth, independance, self-esteem, self-worth…only to be hit with a cliffy twist in the end…
Enjoyable read…

Well, I kind of screwed up with this book and series. I actually purchased Maybe which is the complete series but my mind was elsewhere and I thought I was reading one book. Turns out all three are contained so now that my brain has caught up even though I'm 300 pages in on a 580 page read, I'm having to turn back and review each one separately.

The story revolves around Kinsley Felton, the only daughter and heiress of the CEO of the Felton Corporation - a billionaire conglomerate based out of Vegas that has multiple holdings of casinos and hotels. At the very start, Kinsley is near the end of her run at Yale where she attends college. She's a theatre major, has been modeling since she was 12 and has had a successful run and rarely dates or does any of the wild things a college student would do. And that is because her life is completely dictated by her family. She was smart enough to get into Yale, but it was already mandated by her father and grandfather that she would major in theatre instead of something of more substance. She models because her grandfather pushed her into it and said it would be so. And she rarely does anything because her father who she adores constantly checks in and she adheres to his rules. She also doesn't date because that would be another big No No. And the reason being: Kinsley knows that she will not have a choice in whom she eventually marries. Her father and grandfather made that decision for her at 16 that they would pick to insure the continuation of the empire and Kinsley seems to just tow the line and fall into step without questioning. As far as her patriarchs are concerned, Kinsley's main attribute is her beauty and they don't seem interested in acknowledging or encouraging her to use any other skill set she might have. She's also not used to making any of her decisions herself so yeah, she definitely comes across as a pushover. But at least she has time to live a little before the day comes that she has to marry.

Well, that all gets blown to hell in the beginning chapter when a call from back home summons her after the death of her beloved father. With her father now gone, 21 year old Kinsley's timeline has just been drastically moved forward and a man has already been picked for her to marry, and marry quickly within a 6 month time period. She has no say in it as far as they're concerned even though nobody can make you say "I do" and if she had more of a backbone then maybe she would've just said no to the whole idea. But that isn't who Kinsley is. She's naive at times, indecisive, totally used to having all her choices made for her and towing the family line.

When she returns to Las Vegas, she is told that she will be meeting the man she is to marry the following day. Still mourning the loss of her father and having just gone through his burial and with the meeting looming, she decides to hit up one of the family casinos and lose herself for a night. There she meets an enigmatic, charismatic man and sparks fly. For the first time ever, Kinsley acts on impulse and spends the night with him. And the two of them have a very hot night together. And that's it. A one night stand that will be left as just that.

The next day comes and Kinsley goes to the meeting to meet her new, maybe husband, a VP at the Felton Corporation, Killian Browne. To her surprise and partial horror, she find that Killian Browne was is in fact her one night stand. Any feelings of lust or imagining a different life with a guy like him go out the window when she realises this is who she's going to be forced to marry and she also has a good feeling that he had an upper hand in their exchange, pretty sure that he knew who she was from the beginning.

The rest of this first book is a back and forth. Kinsley's loyal devotion to her family is at war with her feeling gypped that her future is not her own. But she's towed the line for so long that all of her weaker traits are still in place.

Meanwhile, Killian Browne is a force to be reckoned with and somewhat of an enigma. He seems blindly set on becoming CEO at any cost. If he has no choice but to marry, then he will. But he doesn't show Kinsley many signs for quite awhile that his choice to be with her will be anything but a business transaction. But these two have something brewing between them whether they admit it or not and as they go back and forth over their reluctance to marry, whatever is between them keeps growing. Killian seems to be turning out to be sincere towards Kinsley but she just can't get over the fact that this is a business transaction and doesn't believe him that his moves aren't calculated.

When they finally get to what seems to be a place of understanding, a family illness pops up that has them both in the hospital candidly discussing their true feelings for one another. And Kinsley finally buys into it being real. Yet, literally the minute after she does that, everything falls out from underneath her with a really unsuspected cliffhanger. There's a reason Killian Browne has been such a mystery in his own way and in the cliffhanger Kinsley's eyes are opened as to why.

This is a pretty dry review and that's partially because I'm already wrapped up in the midst of the second book and partially because although there are interesting aspects to the story, more so than I've listed, it just didn't quite spark me in any particular way. I wasn't angry like my last rant, I wasn't overly invested, and I didn't feel like I was watching a wonderful love slowly unfold. It's not to say it's a bad book but it's more just a story you go along with with some good moments tucked in here and there. Entertaining? Yes. A definite 'I have to read'? No.

Still and all, I've never read this author before so it could just be an 'it's not you, it's me' scenario. The book is well written enough and there is some real meat in certain places. Basically though, I would've liked to see Kinsley 'grow a pair' and tell all the men in her life where to stick it. You only have one life to live - make it your own!

3*** for a good enough read but not quite good enough to entice me.

Maybe Yes was a pretty quick book to breeze through.

It follows Kinsley, who honestly has a really weird life. She never makes a decision. NEVER. I have no idea how someone could live their life like that but somehow she did. She was like a robot who always talked to her dad or grandfather before she did anything. AT the beginning, man, I wanted to slap her and make her realize that her life isn't really her's. She wasn't living at all. Nope, Kinsley was definitely sheltered while growing up and still was while attending college. Oh, and her strengths were that she was beautiful. I rolled my eyes every god damn time that was mentioned. I was super happy that she noticed that people only would mention that. Props to her.

Then one day, her world turns upside down. Her dad is dead and her grandfather has move up her arranged marriage. Enter Killian, who is really Killian. Yeah that ending just confused the shit out of me and my brain is trying to wrap around what little information I just got. Okay, so the guy was hot, smart, sexy, and annoyed the shit out of me when he ordered food for Kinsley. I would hate for someone to order something for me. I would take my fork and stab that person in the hand and walk out. Which is why I was, again, annoyed with Kinsley because a rock would make a decision before she did. A ROCK.

The romance and chemistry was everything. It eased my migraine a little bit, so did coffee and food.. but we will give credit to the book. I loved these two. However, I didn't want them to get married to each other. It's way too early for that. He wanted it because he would become CEO and she just wanted to marry for love.

In the end, they definitely started to fall for each other. Then that god damn cliffhanger of an ending punched me in the face. I can't accept that kind of ending - I need more!

HAHA WHAT THE FUCK.

Watch out I'm ready to roast this book.

Oh God. First thing I want to address is that Kinsley is the stupidest idiot I have ever read about. She has no ambition in life, she lets other people control her decisions and then blames them when she's unhappy. I have absolutely no respect for her. She suddenly decides she wants to be CEO of her family's company, but instead of going Elle Wood's way and making herself qualified, she just starts waltzing into meetings and butting in. Literally, she made a graph in Excel, presented it, and expected the company to fall at her feet. She has no grasp on how life works.

Her grandfather is arranging a marriage with her and Killian. She met Killian the night before and they hit it off. She goes to her grandfather to tell him that she doesn't want the arranged marriage because she wants to start something with Killian. Then she finds out that the arranged marriage is with Killian. But then what does she decide? He's the last person on earth she could ever marry. She makes no sense.

Killian is a complete and utter ass. He broke up Kinsley and her boyfriend of several years after seeing them on one date. He condescends to her at every opportunity.

I'm out of words for this book. It was awful. Radiance has spoiled other books for me at the moment.

An example of why I hate Kinsley:
“Fuck me, Killian. Take me, own me, control me. I can’t survive another second without knowing how your cock feels inside me.”

Can anyone read that without gagging?

What to expect:
∘ Adult Romance
∘ Contemporary
∘ Billionaires romance
∘ Drama
∘ Arranged Marriage
∘ Hate to Love

I don't have much to say about this one other than that I wish I liked it more.

We have a doormat heroine and she should use that little brain of hers more often. She never stands up for herself and allows her family to insult & control her life.
The drama was on point, even though I wasn't a big fan of that part of the book (it was kind of cringe, not gonna lie).

The love interest is shady and I suspected from the beginning he was hiding something, which was confirmed at the end of the book.
He's acting like an asshole most of the time and I can't say I see the chemistry 😅 oh well...

I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads

This is the story of a spoiled, filthy rich model and heiress who just never stops whining. Beautiful, privileged and completely indecisive, this girl wakes up at the age of 21 and decides she isn’t quite sure she likes the life she has allowed her family to create for her.

I usually enjoy arranged marriage or marriage of convenience stories, but I really couldn’t bring myself to like the characters in this one. There just isn’t enough believable conflict for most of this story. Killian is blandly perfect which makes him less than interesting and only serves to emphasise Kinsley’s princess attitude. Supporting characters are sketched in and Kinsley’s magic business skills really aren’t believable.

I am never a fan of cliffhanger stories and this one is really strange. At the end of this incredibly insipid, old-school romance, a wildcard cliff hanger twists the series into some sort of mafia/federal agent adventure. But while cliffhangers are supposed to entice readers to continue with a series, this one really annoyed me because I only finished the book for resolution and I really don’t care enough about any of the characters to read the next book.

I imagine that fans of the Kardashians, TOWIE and Made In Chelsea will enjoy this series but I need more complex characters, believable conflict and a touch of humour with my romance. This series just isn’t for me.

Didn't See That Coming

Kinsley's life is a one heaping pile of crazy on top of another. The men around her are constantly deciding her fate for her. Of course, she's just as responsible as they are for allowing it to happen. When she finally finds a backbone, life throws more garbage at her. I didn't see the cliffhanger coming (yes, I knew it would end on one but I didn't expect this). So good. Her chemistry with Killian is a scorcher! I enjoyed this book, along with the audiobook which made it even better!

Kinsley Felton made a mistake years ago and since then she has done exactly what her father and grandfather have told her. She went to the college of their choosing, majored in what they chose, she can't even go out with friends unless she gets permission. She also knows that they will choose her husband. When Kinsley's father dies suddenly, the plans to marry her off to a stranger are accelerated. Because she is beautiful, no one thinks she can make choice for herself - that's the price of being treated like a princess.

Sooo good! OK, in all honesty, you have to get through Kinsley being extremely annoying at the beginning, but have faith. Yes, she's so beautiful that no one thinks she could possibly have a brain - poor her. And she's so out of practice making decisions for herself that she literally can't order a drink at a bar or food at a restaurant - poor her. Like I said, wade through the annoying parts because it gets so much better once she gets back to Vegas. Things really heat up there, and the cliffhanger?? It has me begging for the next book.

The heroine was very annoying as she couldn’t make up her mind during very simple situations. This book felt very insta-love ish. The cliffhanger was very clever didn’t see that coming however the chemistry between the main characters felt forced.

I am so on the fence about this book and I don't know how to feel.

Kinsley is a young naive 21 year old whose family owns a huge casino and resort empire. She is always told what to do, what to think, who to date, what to eat or drink. She is attending Yale because she was told to. She takes theater at Yale because she was told to. She never dates because she was told she will be in an arranged marriage. She NEVER makes decisions for herself. Killian is a man who worked closely with Kinsley's father. Who respected her father and agreed to her father's terms of an arranged marriage for Kins and Killian. They try to stay away from each other but decide they can't. One thing leads to another and then the end of the book happens...

Which let me just say it is a bitch of a cliffhanger! -.-

The reason this book only got 3 stars is because I almost DNFed this book because I COULD NOT deal with the blatant sexism in this book. Every single man in this series is a sexist bastard. And I almost couldn't deal with it.

I must say though by the end of the book the sexism isn't really an issue anymore. The guys mostly see the error of their ways. And that cliffhanger was insane enough to make me want to continue with this series even though it was hard to get through.

Kinsley lived the life of a princess, no decisions to make, not even what she wanted to order at a restaurant. Her family owned the largest gambling conglomerate in Vegas and she was the only child of the CEO. For Kinsley, f revolved around a frivolous education recommended by her family and her modeling career, she was fluff and she wanted to be more. Her grandfather and father had already decided her future, so how was she going to tell them this was NOT the dark ages and arranged marriages with a dangling carrot was NOT for her. When she married, it would be for a shared love.

Killian has worked hard to gain the confidence of the Felton family. He is brilliant, a true corporate soldier, a leader and if he promised to marry Kinsley, the position of CEO was his, this way the company would stay in the family and Kinsley could be the corporate princess, a piece of brainless bling.

Kinsley had no idea that Killian would use every charm he had to bulldoze over her resistance, only to tell her he didn’t want to marry her either, but he wanted to be CEO and he would do anything to achieve that goal, all she had to do was play along. …and the game begins, winner takes all as two people play with each other’s hearts while holding their ace in the hole close to the vest.

Do you like to wonder if both of the main characters are worth caring about? Do you like a touch of the unknown and not being able to predict the endgame or what you really WANT to happen? Ella Miles had a stroke of genius when creating Maybe Yes. Sure, it is sizzling with chemistry, filled with touching moments, able to bring tears to your eyes with frustration and raise your hackles in angry indignation, but that isn’t where her genius is! It is in the characters, each unique, each a little frustrating at times, but alive with personality. Kinsley is a woman just awakening to her inner independent side. She is finally realizing she has so much more to offer than her body and looks. Now, Killion, hmmm, sure, he’s hot, and yes he has a vulnerable side, or does he? I’m positive there is another Ace up Ella Miles’ sleeve and we will hit another jackpot with the next book in the series!

I received this copy from Ella Miles in exchange for my honest review.

Kinley's character development was great. Her learning that she is more than the pretty face her family has told her for years was a joy to watch. She and Killian had fantastic chemistry from the start. The tension in their relationship was simply delicious!

This book always had me guessing! The plot is never what it seems and the twists are fabulous! I was absolutely hooked on this story and easily could have read all three books in one sitting if life didn't get in the way.

But like the disclaimer said, this series moves in a direction you probably aren't expecting when you pick up Maybe Yes. It has an edge of danger to it that I think some readers might not enjoy if they prefer their lighter romances that focus on the sexy times and everyday dramatics. There's nothing "everyday" about this series at all.

Very excited to see what happens next!

Oh wow...loveeee this book.
Since there are plenty billionaire romance books out there, I thought this was going to be typical, but i was so wrong, so totally wrong.
This book is full of intrigue, so many questions, I can't stop reading it.
This book playing with my emotions, one minute I'm angry, another minute I fall in love, one minute I'm mad at Killian, another minute i want him kiss the hell out of me.
It keeps me guessing what the hell happened in the past, what is Kinsley going to do, what Killian's next move, and is there more secrets. Totally full of intrigue.
And in the end...bam...I totally didn't expect that, therefore i'm jumping in to the second book now, because i need answers.

Killian is the one intrigue me the most, he always act so suspicious, he always lying, but he's hot, that's why i love him, but he's got some groveling to do.
And Kinsley..i thought she's just that perfect billionaire's daughter, perfect little princess, but she's more that, she's a strong girl, she might seems weak and lost, but that's just because she's inexperienced and always live in a bubble that her father and granddad create for her.
I feel her pains, her loneliness and sadness.

If you love romance with a lot of intrigue...This book is A MUST READ for you.
well if you love to read...you should try this one..READ this book

***I purchased my own copy to read and review for Wicked Reads

Kinsley Felton has been following her family's orders her whole life and as long as she continues to do so she will eventually inherit her great grandfather's casino company. The only problem is Kinsley's not sure she wants to marry a man her family chooses for her.

I don't know about Maybe Yes, I have mixed feelings. On one hand it kind of grew on me and I would be interested in reading book 2, but on the other hand, as a female I kind of hated Kinsley, the main character. I just felt like smacking her in the face half the time. Where was her backbone? Why was she so whiny and indecisive? I get that she's been a pampered princess, but she can't even order her own adult beverage? Personally, I think Killian is what really made me want to finish this book. He came off as strong, confident, and sexy. I would've really liked to have gotten some chapters in his character's POV, especially after that ending! All in all not my favorite book, but I would be still be interested in checking out some of Ella Miles other books and seeing how the Maybe series ends.

I LOVED this book! The twists and turns were unpredictable and kept me reading until the wee hours so I could find out how it ended - which was a TOTAL surprise and CLIFFHANGER! I guess I hadn't noticed that it was #1 in a series, and now I'm frustrated because I have to wait until summer to find out what happens next. :(

Listened to this in audio form and I am not going to lie, Yes Kinsley is childish but she is only 21, and shes always been sheltered, I see her character evolve and I love that and also I like how Killian also treats her like an adult once he opened his heart to her. There are a ton of secrets revealed and I am waiting for the ball to drop and it damn sure did!!!!!!!!!! The cliff hanger was just amazing, what happened before the cliff hanger was sessy AF!!!! I forgot to mention that their chemistry and when they are together??? UGH!! steamy as hell! Love it.

Maybe Yes by Ella Miles is an arranged marriage romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Keira Stevens. This is the first book in the Maybe Series and does end on a cliffhanger.

This is the first book of Ella’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved the chemistry between Kinsley and Killian. The cliffhanger was amazing and I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Maybe Never.

Keira did an amazing job on the narration. She really knows how to bring a story to life.

I would recommend this book if you love Arranged Marriages, Billionaire Romances, or Enemies To Lovers.

That cliffhanger in the end!

Overall it was just ok. There were quite a few things that annoyed me, such as the inability of Kingsley to make decisions, but as the story progressed it got better. Her grandfather was a male chauvinist and i seriosly hated him, his suddenly change of heart at the end did not convince me.
About Killian i had conflicting feelings through out the book, but that end....wtf?
I want to read the rest of the series, because after that ending my curiosity is spiked!

This is a god awful book that runs itself in circles until the very end. Kinsley contradicts herself at every turn and Killian is a power hungry ass who you initially want to root for but can’t until suddenly at the very end when he decides to do a full 180° and tells her he does love her after all??? THEN the dumb ending that’s seemingly there just to intrigue the reader into getting the second book because he’s an undercover agent???… (I will not be reading ts)

Overall, it’s a horrendously easy read with bad sex scenes, even worse characters, and a chronically surface level plot line. Ms rich girl is miserable and cries about having gone to Yale, being a beautiful model, and having a gazillion dollars. Suddenly decides she wants to run her families company that she’s had nothing to do with until now but don’t worry, of course she’s a natural finance prodigy and can “see trends in data”. Kill me. Blah blah blah business jargon, blah blah blah graphs, charts, and tables.

Don’t waste your time.

It was a pleasant read. I don't think that one can say more about this genre. I liked it. I am starting the second book too.

Her future is already set, all she has to do is marry a complete stranger.

Kinsley Felton has everything. Money, a loving family, and a modeling career. She graduates from Yale in just days, but unlike a typical college student she doesn’t have to spend hours looking for a job when she graduates. Kinsley will inherit the multi-billion dollar gaming and hospitality company her great-grandfather started. The only problem is she has to do everything her family asks for in order to get that money. That includes marrying a man of her family’s choosing. That’s not a problem since Kinsley has been following her family’s orders all her life. Until a phone call from her grandfather changes everything.

Will she marry the man her family chooses or will she decide her own future?

Review:
“All he wants is another chance to f me. I don’t plan on giving him that pleasure, but as his eyes travel over my body, stopping at my chest, I don’t know if I’ll be able to resist his temptation.”

5 arranged stars! Fell in love the minute I started reading!

Kinsley has known for along time that her future is set in stone! Once she graduates from college she will be given her family's billion dollar business. The catch? She has to marry a man her family chooses. But can she really be in a loveless marriage??

This book was so much better than I ever thought it was going to be! And that ending, gah, I need more!! I don’t know how patient I can be waiting for the next book! What a great start to the series!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I'm still reeling from the major cliffhanger at the end of this book so I'm thinking about what I want to say. Our heroine, Kinsley. Did I like her? Sometimes. I was proud of her for making her own decisions and standing her ground but other times she was like a lost puppy following her master and letting the men in her life tell her what to do and how to live. However, with the way she was raised, I'm surprised she has a brain at all since it seems her father and grandfather had total control over her life.

Killian. I went back and forth with my opinion of him as well. On one hand we have this cocky, but sweet, sexy man who only wants what's best for Kinsley. And on the other hand he's controlling, a workaholic and very closed off. All in all, I did like him - he's definitely swoon-worthy!

The cliffhanger is what killed this book for me and what caused me to give the book a 4 star rating. I don't usually care for cliffhangers in general but this one was too great for me. The cliffhanger just made no sense and made me re-think the entire book. I know, I know, that's what cliffhangers are supposed to do but in the case of this book, I felt like it didn't fit. Maybe it's just me that feels that way.... However, I'm not the author and I'm sure she has great reasons for doing the cliffhanger the way she did. I'm interested to see what happens in book 2!
