This is the fu---- up version of Romeo and Juliet MC Club style. Imagine Juliet a pistol, and Romeo a sexy, badass with wicked tats. Oh, did I mention there's lots of cursing, leather-clad bikers, motorcycles, and sex?
Forbidden - book 1 by Sierra Rose is a Romeo and Juliet story about forbidden romance...but motorcycle style. Selene is a Black Heart. And Lucky is a Stone Wolf. They're from two different rival biker gangs. Their love is strictly forbidden... They know the consequences. They know the risk. But they don't care. Nothing will get in the way of these two star-crossed lovers.
Sierra Rose is a stay at home mom and writer. With the support from her husband, friends, and family, she finally decided to write her first romance novel, My Despicable Ex, followed by the second book in the series. She hopes to write more romance books in the future.
Sierra is a dreamer, a hopeless romantic, and believes fairy tales can come true. She enjoys spending time with her husband of ten years and her wonderful children, ages 9 - 12. She has two cats and one dog. Sierra enjoys going to book clubs, camping, hiking, reading, jogging, and swimming.
This was book 1 in the "Star Crossed MC Lovers" series. This was some weird take on Romeo and Juliet. Selene is a the daughter of the President of the Black Heart MC and Lucky is from the Stone Wolf MC and they are rivals. Lena is determined to take over the club someday. I liked both of these characters. Lucky grew up with an abusive father so the guys in the club become his father. This book seemed rushed at times. The book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Dang it how I wish the story in itself was as intriguing as the synopsis. I love the idea of a modern twist to Romeo and Juliet with biker gangs as opposing sides and the whole star crossed romance. When it came to execution however, it was not even close to meeting that intrigue.
With the presented storyline the book had I think the first mistake was making the book so short. Or rather, publishing the one and only book in three parts for the price of three books instead of one. No matter what, the writing was way too rushed and lackluster in passion to give the story and characters some life. It basically jumped immediately to them being oh so in love with bunch of love speeches and deep talks and yet they had just started to actually talk and interact with each other. It just made it feel so off and so forced that any kind of development that could have been, both in the relationship and as individual characters, was immediately tossed out the window. The relationship was mostly dialogue and sex anyway so there really wasn’t much Romeo and Juliet feel to it more than the nicknames and the over the top speeches.
The story in itself with the father issues and becoming part of the MC gang, now that held a bit more weight to it and held my interest better. This simply by not being as rushed and given some room for a buildup. At the same time though, it also lacked depth. It was never made clear how the relationship between Selene and her father was. As a matter of fact in the beginning there didn’t seem to be an issue since she wanted to follow in his footsteps, then all of a sudden he was a bad man and she was forced into these crap situations. Yet, I didn’t understand how she was so surprised by it since she herself admitted to knowing his bad side all along and she did ask for it, wanting to be part of that life. So if she had such an issue with the illegal life, why did she strive to be a part of it? Or worse, why didn’t she take the out her dad actually gave her? It just did not make any sense.
All in all I felt like the story was all over the place, staying away from Lucky then not staying away, wanting to be part of the club then not wanting to but being stuck (though she wasn’t at all?), loving her dad then thinking him a psychopath. The plot clearly needed a lot more planning before getting put onto paper and it desperately needed some breathing room for actual development to happen. Two and a half stars for the sake of the idea behind the book and the intrigue. Let’s round it up to three stars.
She is the daughter of the Kingpin of The Black Hearts and he's about to be singed in as the new prospect for The Stone Wolves.
A match made in Biker heaven? You couldn't be more wrong. The hate between the two clubs goes back almost a century.
Things were always ugly between the two clubs, but things are just about to get uglier for our two star crossed lovers than they could ever possibly have dreamed of.
I'm sorry but I just couldn't get into this story. It may interest others but by the second chapter I lost interest. The banter between Lucas and Selena was about the only interesting thing. Then the conversation became weird and didn't fit with what I was reading. Sorry I'm not trying to be cruel just honest.
Managed to stick with it until 67% but couldn't force myself to read anymore. I didn't like any of the characters and hated the story. Sorry, but not for me.
I found this book a little slow to begin with but it soon heated up to the forbidden tale of love. Romeo and Juliet’s tale re-told with a modern twist.
I love the starcrossed lovers from different MCs. The only drawback is it's in four parts. Having said that Sierra writes great stories. Pickup this book.
So I tried this book as part of a book club pick for the month. I was so confused and tried to enjoy the book but couldn't. I think the biggest thing is they were so young. There were times where I was like 'seriously, why are you being so dumb.' The other issue I had was which character was speaking. There were points where I thought it was Lucky saying what turned out to be Lena speaking. I had to reread several parts and it still was confusing. Lucky - had a troubled life and thought the only way out was to join the MC. He is quickly becoming a prospect and on his way to be a member. You can tell a lot of choices he makes are juvenile and relate to his age. In the supposed small town he runs around with the enemy and expects to not get caught. Lena - is sitting with rose colored glasses to think her Dad is innocent. She is also extremely naïve if she thinks it's going to be flowers and sunshine to follow in his footsteps. Her decisions are based on coercion for sure but also extremely immature. Granted she's 18 but how she treats Lucky and acts you can tell that neither are recognizing their actions have consequences. Grandma - she made the book for me. Overall someone else may enjoy it but it was a struggle for me to want to finish and be forewarned it ends but there is no HEA or happy for now. It just ends.
I liked this book a lot. It's an easy to follow read. Lucky, is a great looking guy that has been dealt a pretty crappy hand by his dad. He's been blamed for his mother death, and has paid the price ever since with mental, verbal, and physical abuse.
Lena, is a beautiful girl who seems to have pretty much everything. Her dad is the boss of a MC and a drug Kingpin, that basically runs the town. She has no friends because everybody is afraid of her dads wrath.
Lucky and Lena have liked each other all through high school, but they never acted on their feelings because both of them are from rival MC's. (they both have to prove themselves first by doing the usual test's and grunt-work)
The day of graduation, Lucky decides to test the waters. The two of them eventually start to hang out, but as soon as Lena's dad finds out, he threatens the both of them.
Star Crossed all right..... Just like Romeo and Juliet but in MC version of story. You get Selena Delgado from Black Heart and Lucas Morrison from Stone Wolves falling for each other. For four years of there high school they picked on each other. For four years they both develop feelings for each other and not act on it. Until there graduation party that they both decided to have one night only for Lena to pull a prank on Lucky. Which it ends up with them falling around with each other and falling in love. Just to get hurt in the end.... Now I'm gonna go and read the second part of the story and find out more because this book is just awesome and I wanna know what happens next....

Young love!! This story had a really good plot but I just couldn't connect with the characters. They both seemed unbelievable in a way. I think it came down to the writing style for me. I couldn't connect with Lena, especially at the end when she knew what her father had done to her and her mother but she's willing to stay on with her father. This I found hard to deal with considering she was supposed to be some really tough chick. Then you've got Lucky who is such a sweet kid but seems to let Lena walk all over him.
I really enjoyed reading this mc book.... Lucky and Lena are definitely star crossed lovers!! They had sexual chemistry off the charts and I loved Selene's bada$$ness I really look forward to more from them.....
Having just stumbled upon this book, it was a nice surprise. the characters were a little younger, they are both 18, so the dialogue and narration is a little adolescent but that's understandable.
This is a brilliant book , I totally emerged myself in the story of Lucky and Selene . Their young love is doomed but will it survive ? I don't know as it ends on a cliff hanger , oh well next instalment it is .
