A Lost in Oblivion Outtake — Simon & Margo

All he wants is forever.

With the crash and burn of Simon Kagan's singing career, things have been a little off between him and Margo Reece. The passion is there—it's always there—but he wants to make sure she knows just how invested and committed he is to making her happy.

Even if that means breaking out a ring and convincing her to wear one.

It's been five months and Simon Kagan is doing everything to heal his fractured vocal cords and generate income for the band in the meantime. He and Margo Reece are back in California, living together though they often feel like ships passing in the night as she's just as busy with symphony and studio work. He's ready to get committed; she's fine with the way things stand.

I've come to adore this couple with whom I never thought I'd ever form a bond. Simon has shown such growth and maturity, pretty much astounding everyone around him. As different as these two are, they're just about a perfect match. I loved the conflicts they faced in this story as they mirrored real life issues. Both of them evolved to another level, surprising given the hurdles they soared over in the last book.

It's a short but angsty and fulfilling interlude with these two. The best part is it's not over yet and I'm anxious about what's next.

Sexy hot Rock Star model? Check. Talented and equally sexy Violin Girl? Check. Explosive chemistry between them? Check. Resolved Commitment for forever? We’ll see…

Simon and Margo’s relationship has never been easy or typical. Even though incredible attraction and deep love has never been a problem, they’re still insecure about where they stand in each other’s lives for the long run.
“You’re it for me, Violin Girl… The only part that scares me is losing you.”

Simon has been facing too many uncertainties and an uphill battle regarding his singing career, but he’s crystal clear when it comes to Margo. She’s IT for him and wants her always, but can he convince her to a bind herself to him forever?

Margo has never felt more alive than when she’s with Simon and it’s not just the amazing pull between them. She’s able to do what she’s meant to, that is to create magnificent music with him and his band. But her family has left long reaching scars that compel her to push everyone away before they try to do it first. Keeping her from jumping in fully with Simon. Can she put that aside and believe enough in him, in them to take the next step into a forever kind of commitment?

I’ve really enjoyed how this series has developed, getting to know each character in this awesome rock band and see them grow, find themselves and fall in love has been a great adventure. With beautifully written words, each has a unique story. Simon and Margo’s is no different. With the added bonus that I have this incredible vivid image of Simon based on the authors’ inspiration for him. I can picture him perfectly in each and every scene.
“She cupped his jaw and went headlong into that delightful haze that only Simon could bring out in her. Where instinct and lust blended with oxygen and bloomed to life like a flame.”

Simon hadn’t just been “Super Slut” the fun loving, easy going hunk. He’d forever been THE voice of his band. Now he’s having difficulty progressing and struggling with a host of insecurities, but mostly with the fact that Margo won’t fully commit to them.

Margo has sad background of her own that she hasn’t shared with Simon and is at the core of her uncertainties. But through Oblivion, Margo has made some wonderful friends, including Lila. The group’s sometimes tyrannical manager with a hidden soft heart who helps Margo face her fears and push her to make to choices needed for relationship to fully bloom.

Committed is novella 3.7 in the Lost in Oblivion series by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. I don’t recommend this be read as a standalone. It is the third part of Simon and Margo’s story, so at the very least you should read Destroyed and Consumed before reading this Committed to fully enjoy their story. Told from both points of view, filled with hot sexy times and an exciting happy ending that both satisfies and leaves me wanting more of this incredible Rock Star family.

Well, Simon and Margo are almost to the finish line. In Committed we see them both struggle with their biggest fears.

Simon is worried he's never going to be back on stage again and live out his dream. The vocal chord injury is still healing and he's not quite there yet....and everyone, especially Simon, is worried if he ever will be.

Margo is battling her fear of commitment. She's see how well commitment worked in her family and with the people she knows. She's worried that one day, the bliss she shares with Simon will be over and she can't quite shake the need to keep some of that distance between her and the man she loves.

In the span of the last three books, we've seen so much growth in Simon and Margo, but Simon specifically. From the moment we meet him in Seduced 0.5, we see a kid that thrives on the attention. His need to be in the spotlight as he fronts the band on stage and performs his heart out. And backstage, he's living up to the rockstar image by taking advantage of the groupies that come his way. He's living it up and relishing in it. But from the moment he met Margo, things have been off for him and when she comes back to help in performing with the band, she completely throws him off kilter and becomes his main focus, aside from being on that stage and signing his heart out.

Simon matures so much in his story that it's one of the most profound transformations I've seen. And that's what I LOVE so much about this series. Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott give us so much of their stories that we're given exceptional character development from the start. We're granted an opportunity to watch these characters go from a garage band that practices every day in a laundry mat, living in it's basement, to headlining their own tour. It's like I know them all personally and we've become the best of friends. They're quirky, sexy, ambitious and unforgettable.

Committed (By Taryn Elliott & Cari Quinn)is one of the stories in Love Ever After. I received an ARC of Committed for an honest review.

Oh I do love Simon and Margo...The Lost in Oblivion series is fantastic. You haven't read any? You must rectify the situation. Simon has some retraining to do and isn't taking it very well. Margo loves being creative with the band but is never sure when she'll be asked to leave. They both have grown so much and in Committed they jump in with both feet!

I love how this series has progressed and can't wait for the next one. You must take the time to read this whole series - FANTASTIC! Great, fast paced reading.

Simon and Margo have been through a lot during this series and in this book we get to see them reaching for more, committing to one another and falling even deeper in love. Their journey hasn't been an easy one and I was thrilled seeing the growth in both despite there still being some cracks in them individually.

Just yes!

Margo and Simon are amazing together. This book is the culmination of Simon changing from a boy to a man. It's also awesome to read about a woman who isn't 100% sure of herself, and it's ok that's she's not. My favorite Oblivion couple!

This is a really short story to kind of wrap up Simon and Margo's story. We left Simon and Margo as living together, dating, but in the grand scheme of things, Margo is afraid of a forever commitment. Kind weird the guy is, but Simon wants a ring and some kind of commitment that they are a couple.

Simon is unsure of what the future holds. His modeling career is now paying the bills and then some, but his voice is still healing. Impatient and worried he may never sing, he turns the one great joy in his life Margo. Simon's character has grown from the cocky lead singer who wore ripped jeans and old t-shirts, to a man modeling some of the finest clothing and managing his own investments. He even has an agent.

Margo is battling her fear of commitment. Her parents aren't real good role models for her and she doesn't feel a ring and some words will keep them together. Throw in she doesn't want to be in the orchestra, but instead playing music that pulls at her soul and for crowds.

The two are extremely sexy together, making me all hot and bothered. Simon has a snappy sense of humor that keeps Margo on her toes, while Margo is a little more reserved emotionally. I laughed and cried for what they are going through. We do get an ending to this story and while it isn't exactly what I wanted, I know going forth I will get more of these two in Nick's love story.

le sigh. As always, these two authors delivered another great story in the Lost In Oblivion series.

COMMITTED is a bonus novella slipped in between Simon & Margo’s book, CONSUMED, and Nick’s book, SHATTERED. For an LiO story, it’s a quick, sexy read that packs so much into its abbreviated page count.

We witness Simon’s struggles to regain his unique singing voice that helped propel the band to near super-star level before his injury. Will his biggest fear that he’ll never get it back or ever be the same become reality?

We watch the frustrations Simon and Margo face as they adjust to the new paths their careers have taken. Is Margo really committed to making it work long term? Her new bestie makes her face some hard truths and make some tough decisions.

We see new relationships forming that we’ll get to explore in hopefully the not-too-distant future. Something we’ve speculated on and guessed at in every book since almost the beginning is revealed. And it’s brilliant in its simplicity.

The stage is now pretty much set for Nick’s story. I loved COMMITTED. I have a feeling I’m going to be shaken by SHATTERED. I’m primed and ready. Bring. It. On.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This review is for Committed (Lost in Oblivion, #3.7) by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott. I received an ARC of Committed when it was released as part of the Love Ever After Box Set in exchange for my honest review.

Honestly? It was too short! I want more Simon and Margo!

This novella gives us a release into their "real life" -- outside the bedroom -- and how they deal with a "real" issue. I put "real" in quotes because really the issue was of Margo's own making. Seriously, that girl needed a head slap. BUT, Lila to the rescue (I look forward to her story), showing Margo that she's being silly. Simon's problems and struggles feel more real than Margo's issues, but none of that detracted from the story. With every couple, there are real issues, and fabricated ones, and Cari and Taryn. But Simon and Margo get through it all, and are stronger for it.

Overall, a great little snack to munch on while waiting [impatiently] for the next full-length Oblivion novel.

LOVE EVER AFTER: ELEVEN ALL NEW ROMANCES
This is the conclusion to the cliffhanger we got from Consumed 3.5, not really the conclusion but resolved some questions. This is Simon and Margo's story- PART 2. Will Simon's vocal cord injury prevent him from singing again? Will his voice be the same, better or worse? If not able to sing will modeling be enough? Will Margo's music over-shine his music career? Will Margo's music be her # 1 priority, more than Simon? Can she fully commit to him and him to her???Will we get a HEA? Read to get these questions answered!!! This book is well written and fast paced novella, only compliant wish it was longer. Highly addictive series!!!!!The NEW ADULT Rock Star Series - LOST IN OBLIVION

The Lost in Oblivion series rocks with chemistry and intensity. The storyline is woven to perfection!! We all need to be “Committed” if we don’t fall under the spell Ms. Quinn and Ms. Elliott wove so carefully in “Consumed.” I, for one, believed Simon and Margo were blissfully happy upon their return from St. John. I really thought Simon had slain Margo’s demons. I cried with Margo and for Margo when Simon told her to leave. And who would Margo turn to? Why Lila, of course. The “dragon lady” has been an elusive character but we get to see a different side of her in this novella. Will Margo be able to slay her own demons (with Lila’s help) in time to save their relationship? Will Simon give up on singing and turn to his own demon, alcohol, and live up to his nickname “Super Slut”? Lost in Oblivion is a romantic, sexy, sizzling hot and emotional series. This is a quick and easy read. I highly recommend the series if you haven’t read it!

Great wrap up to Simon and Margo's story

Just like all the other Oblivion books, "Committed" gives us a perfect present of what happens in a real adult relationship. I loved that we see Simon's evolution into a man who is self-aware and ready to leave his whoring days behind but, even better, we see the chinks in Margo's armor and we experience her pain as she works to caulk those cracks over. It's a great book in the series and I'm thrilled that these two authors didn't go the way of so many others with overdone high school drama and unnecessary melodramatic angst. It was very adult and very real in a world of Jerry Springer, over-the-top, who's the daddy bullish!t and I'm hoping that they find a way to keep this series alive with future books giving us what happens after she says "yes". I also have to warn you that it is not a book stuffed full of sex with a bit of story thrown in to keep it rated 'R'. Nicely done! Another platinum record!

I am so thankful to be a part of the wenches. EVERY ROMANCE READER, READ THIS SERIES!! I cannot get enough of the Lost in Oblivion series. I feel in it with the characters. You get, what I feel, is a insight on what bands deal with on the regular. Cari and Taryn know how to bring it all together. The romance is SWEEEET and the STEAMY love scenes make me :) :) :) Following Simon and Margo has of been a great pleasure. A beautiful couple with issues like everyone so every reader can relate. I really like the chemistry and genuine affection that these authors can bring to their characters. ❤️❤️❤️

Brilliant as always- I love the way Taryn manages to build up tension, I love the authenticity of the characters even in their different ways of speaking. I love how Taryn draws you into the story-really, when Simon has those moments when his voice starts to crack again after the horrenduous experience when the chord cyst burst in the middle of a concert- my heart rate still goes up and my throat feels tight. There aren´t many authors who can manage to transport emotions and situatioons like she does!!

First I want to say another home run for this amazing writing duo. This book filled the long wait between Consumed and Shattered.

We had some questions answered in this book. Will Simon get back to how he was before? Can Margo let go of her insecurities? This is a short book but Simon and Margo's relationship grows better than ever.

We get some great Margo and Lila interactions with some hard truth thrown in. I love Lila and can NOT wait for more of her in the next book.

This novella gives us a glimpse into Simon and Margo as a follow up to their last story. It deals with their day to day lives and the struggles they face getting their lives to "fit." I'm glad to see it added a little more to the recovery of Simon's singing voice. I also enjoyed seeing more of Lila's background and look forward to reading her book. I would highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys the Oblivion books.

Yet another amazing continuation for the rock star live of Oblivion and their members. We get more in depth with each book. We learn more about what makes theses characters who they are and the challenges they face. In this book you can picture yourself sitting and listening to this band at and concert. The characters also show us a behind the scenes look into the lives and struggles that rockstars might have.

I want to shout out and scream for Simon...YES!!! He was growing on me in Destroyed and Consumed but in Committed he won me over. Who knew behind the guy nicknamed superslut lol stood a Man with raw honesty. Even through their struggles I loved how Margo and Simon finally fought to understand that it's okay to f*ck up as long as they have each other.

With Simon still recovering from his throat issues and Margo keeping her ties to Boston, Simon can't find the right time to show Margo just how much she means to him. A rough night at The Fluff could be the end of them if he can't get it together. Another lovely little installment to this series that will have you cheering for these guys from Oblivion and their partners!
