Mail Order Brides for the Reed Brothers #2

Leila: A Bride for Cowboy Carter

Rate this book
A new, sweet, clean, historical western Mail Order Brides series - Mail Order Brides for the Reed Boys! Your heart will be warmed as you meet and get to know the four Reed brothers: Beau, Carter, Nick and Finn. Finn, the well-meaning prankster brother plays matchmaker for each of his older brothers, and he receives a surprise himself in the last book! Join along with the brothers as they each step into their new destiny, each walking out their times of trial and joy and their need to trust God.

In this second book of the series, Finn is at it again! But this time he orders not one potential bride for his unsuspecting brother, but three! (He has a very special reason, of course.) All three girls meet each other on the train and discover they are each to be a bride to Carter Reed. Carter insists all three will be sent back home after he finally agrees to a trial period, but of course as fate will have it, he'll choose one. What causes him to make his choice? And what is to become of the other two potential brides?

Enjoyed this historical western, the second book of the series, Mail Order Brides for Reed Boys, by Ellie Haywood. There are four Reed brothers—Nick, Finn (the prankster), Carter (the male protagonist in this story) and Beau. Carter is the male protagonist in this book. Hayward starts off this tale with the latest of Finn’s pranks—he orders three mail order brides for unaware Carter to choose from.
We are introduced to the three women as they start their train ride to the west. They are Julian Sheridan, Leila Masters and Tiffany Weston. Each woman is different in their own right. The only common factor is that they are unattached. Through the rest of this story, we learn more about each of these young women. Hayward does a great job developing each of these women. She unveils their motives for becoming a mail-order bride. We also see how Carter comes to a decision of who his future bride will be. A good read with some humor and tension. A few surprises are revealed, but, you have to read the book to discover them.
