This review is for all three books in this series. I was so excited to be able to glimpse some of my favorite characters in this new series. I really enjoyed every single book but I now just don’t know what I’m going to read. This was a great return to Dawson. It will be missed.

In author Linda Bridey's earlier Montana Mail Order Bride series, a town tries to save its future one mail order bride at a time. This book sees the characters of the original series, Dean-Seth-Marcus Samuels, as senior citizens as their grandchildren deal with WWI and romance in Montana.

Book 3: Spirit Journey
Shy Skip Keller and beautiful Peanut Lennox, helped by some matchmakers, find romance while travelling through the Black Hills. Will the magic of the ancient mountains create an unbreakable bond or will it be torn asunder by anger and mistrust? Spirit Journey also presents a cross over as Bridey's Echo Valley and Montana Mail Order Brides series characters meet through their offspring, and one family loses a beloved wife and daughter.

Very entertaining an enjoyable stories. This is really 2 separate intertwined stories in one book. Spirit Journey and Gossamer Threads. There are so many characters that if you don’t start with the Montana Mail Order Bride series, you need to at least start with Book 1 of the Dawson Chronicles. Although it is definitely worth listening to both series. They are all very enjoyable stories that just keep getting better.

Love that she has continued with the children of all our favorite characters from the Montana Mail Order Bride series. The first story Spirit Journey is the story of Justin(Skip) Keller and Peanut Lennox. While on a journey to find Runner, they come across Jaylyn her sister Peanut her infant daughter Annie. After rescuing them Skip falls for Peanut and her baby.

Love that the author Linda Bridey is not afraid to tackle some of the more "taboo" subjects of the time.

There are glimpses into so many different relationships Art & Hailey, Jaylyn & Eric, Rory & Kyle it's kind of a mini soap opera. As always I love seeing all the characters from both series.

The second story Gossamer Threads - Joey and Snow Song - I wasn't prepared - Can't believe you did that- heartbreaking- be ready to have your heart ripped out. Great story, but very emotional.

Mary Ann Weathers does the narration for this book. Once again she does a great job. Great character voices. Pleasant voice. Clearly spoken with a smooth even pace. She was able to convey every single emotion of the characters and bring the story to life. Very enjoyable. There some changes in the audio sound quality once or twice.

This audiobook had two interlinked books in it, both about members of the Lakota tribe. In these stories the author never shies away from life or living. She tells it "like it is" and at the same time makes it interesting and un-put-down able. Both are emotion evoking in that one seems to personally go through the exact emotion that is appropriate for the character at that moment. That is brilliant writing!
The first story, Spirit Journey, told about the tribe's spiritual journey which was amazingly captivating and also tells of the blossoming love between Skippy and Peanut and her daughter, Annie. He is shy and she is cute but strong and she knows a good man when she finally finds him.
The second story, Gossamer Threads, is about Joey and his deep and all-consuming love for his wife, Snow Song. It also tells about Runner and his relationship with the tribe and the community and touches on the budding relationship between Jaylin and Eric and of the relationship between Rory and Kyle.
There are a few surprises in this story and they teach us that although we can't control what other people do, we can take responsibility for our own actions.
I found both tales interesting and quite educational while being wonderfully entertained.
The narration was good with interesting voice-acting by Mary Ann Weathers.

Spirit Journey: Historical Western Cowboy Romance Novel (Dawson Chronicles Book 3)
by Linda Bridey

This book picks up on the journey to find the missing son, Runner who left about two years earlier. We meet new characters and romance develops. There is self discovery, coming of age, mystery , and suspense.
The cutesy nick names got a little old. Some of the language was too modern for the 1920's, but if you can over look those things there is a good story underneath.

The bonus novella continued the story.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.

Another "Good Read" by Linda Bridey..

I liked all of the Characters in this story, especially Runner.

Skip and Peanut were perfect for each other.

This book covered just about everything including, friends, family, and traditions.

Overall, an entertaining read and a Welcome addition to the series.

And again, Mary Ann Weathers did well with the narration.

I love this book. As I was reading this book I got chills and a calmness came over me. I found myself relating to this book in many ways.

It was great to revisit the characters I love from previous books but even more enjoyable that Ms. Bridey can create new characters that are so different than any others before.

I am so glad Ms. Bridey has found her passion and talent in the same...writing. Thank you for this book, this series, the Montana series, and the ones yet to come!

Great story. Loved it

I couldn't put this one down. Already having read the others of this series I picked up where they were in their life . Was a little surprised with the news of Runner and how that was ok with the tribe. Loved Dash more in this book. Waiting for the next one already.

Wow, Dawson Chronicles continues to please

Picks up with the journey to find Runner. Great character development. Introducing Peanut and Annie and Jaelynn, the mix of American Lakota Indians, and old west, horses and early automobiles. Easy to read, so many characters you can get confused. Love the acceptance of all people. Couldn't we all learn from their example?

Amazing

Wonderful Spirit Journey! I really don't know where to begin. Excellent story. Linda this is a must-read! Skip is as wonderful and intriguing as his father Switch is to get to know and love. I really look forward to the continuation of all these characters, especially Runner, as well as Jaylyn's story.
