The slave of demented Gods, Sacha knew only a life of anguish and suffering until she was reborn as a Guardian of the Realms. Gifted with immense strength and rare abilities, she has spent thousands of years battling to protect the four Realms with her Guardian family. Time has allowed her to construct the perfect mask of calm and control so none can see the past shame and immense pain buried in the darkest recesses of her mind. Now, an encounter with a new and powerful enemy has left Sacha the victim of a poison induced coma that all are unable to heal. The last thing anyone imagines waking her is a God with the strength and potential to unravel her entire world.

As the most powerful of the Gods, Hades was awakened from the Creators’ enforced sleep to help the Guardians in their quest to find his heinous brother, Apollo. After a brutal battle with an unknown Goddess leaves him in need of healing he finds himself powerfully drawn into the room of a sleeping seductress. Her soul calls to him relentlessly, but if he surrenders himself to that connection and gives her the strength to heal, life as he knows it will end.

With their worlds unraveling and new threats at every turn will Sacha’s past destroy them? Or will she bring a God to his knees and lead them both into Divine Ecstasy.

5 Hot for Hades stars

Do I really need to say anything else about this book !?! I think that picture and quote above speak volumes.

My GOD, Hades is just to die for! Mr. Rough around the edges, all action kind of man. He doesn't waste time on pleasantries or meaningless chit chat, he takes life by the balls and owns it. But what I loved most about him is that underneath it all, he loves his son and he loves his mate, and he would move heaven and hell to keep those he loves and who they love safe. His love for Sacha was just pure swoon worthy; worshiping the ground she walked on.

Sacha, I have to give it to, she is one of the older guardians and actually acted like an adult. No whining or tantrums, she processes and takes things as they come, finding the silver lining in it all. Her past is one that has haunted her, but in Hades arms, she doesn't feel trapped or alone...for once she is alive. Appreciating the gift they have in each other.
He wasn’t just giving himself to her, he was hers. She felt it deep in her soul. In his.

Divine Ecstasy is the 8th book in the Guardian of the Realms series, and I have to say it has become my favorite so far. Sure there was insta-love and a manwhore-turned-love-craze-fool, but this is a fantasy novel where anything goes. In this world, it's all about finding your life mate and the one who is bound to your soul.

Hades and Sacha are perfect for each other, she is powerful enough to control him and he is man enough to know he has to treat her with care. The sex is off the charts HOT, the haircutting scenes OMFG....it was that intense and utterly divine.

I love the direction of where the plot is going, it seriously keeps getting better and better and I super stoked that it doesn't look like there is an end in sight. I can't wait for P's book, his has been a story waiting to be told for quite sometime now, it's finally time he gets his HEA. I loved this read and I love the series, what can I say I am a forever fan!

~5 DIVINE STARS~

description
"Hades is your mate."
Divine Ecstasy is the eighth book in the Guardians of the Realm Series. In order to enjoy every morsel of this read, it is imperative that you read this entire series in order. Just be prepared because once you start this series you will be hooked and will not want to stop. You will find yourself immersed in this magical world and will want to know everything you can about these characters.

description

Divine Ecstasy picks up right after Searing Ecstasy. Sacha, a guardian, has been left in a coma. The great god Hades has been awakened from slumber in order to help battle his brother Apollo. While the guardians are preparing to battle their enemies, Hades finds himself drawn to the sleeping Sacha and heals her. Hades recognizes her instantly as his mate and will stop at nothing to be with her.

Sacha wakes up disoriented and struggling to gain her bearings. Although she is drawn to the god, she cannot release the demons from her past in order for them to come together. In order for them to come together, she will have to let go of her past.
"Power thrummed in her veins and his soul cradled hers."
description

Hades is fiercely protective of Sacha and will stop at nothing to offer her comfort and safety. Hades remains true to his character as an "alpha male god with a dirty mouth" and Sacha is a perfect match for his quick witted tongue. Additionally, the physical connection between the two is explosive.
"Now come," he growled while his power worked her pussy as he pinched her nipples harder. She gasped and came..."
description
"His kisses were consuming; he owned every bit of her, devouring, tempting, teasing...seducing her with a slow tangling of their tongues."
Told in alternating POV, Divine Ecstasy was simply delicious. The connection between Sacha and Hades was thoroughly developed. The intensity with the action continues to build as the other guardians (and their mates) prepare for battle. As the chaos of another world threatens to stir up mayhem, the characters remain true to each other and their cause. The pacing was perfect in this read and the text was rich and quick like a jousting match. What makes this series so unique is the authors ability to create each character completely. The physical and emotional makeup of each god and their mate is explored to the fullest and it holds you captive in this alternate world.

description

True to Guardian protocol the author gives us a glimpse into the pairing of our next Guardian couple. The anticipation of what is to come has left me on the edge of my seat.

description
"I'll give you anything you ask for."
I highly recommend Divine Ecstasy to all of my paranormal romance friends. Each book showcases a Guardian and their mate and I finish each book even more invested in this series. The well-developed story arc, passionate connections between the characters, and the underlying theme of brotherhood will always keep me coming back for more. I cannot wait for the next book to hit my kindle!!!! Ms. Jay, you are the queen of paranormal romance!

Oh My God…Where’s my FRENZY?

***Could be spoilerish if you haven't read the previous installments in the series. Best to be read in order***

I started Divine Ecstasy a little uncertain how this one would go. I mean, instead of a grumble bum Guardian finding their mate, it was a stubborn and horny God who was mating the nicest and sweetest Guardian of the bunch. Kind of seemed like a mismatch. Especially considering we’d seen the horny side of Hades (God) getting it on with a harem of women in Searing Ecstasy. Hades, LOVES women. How was a dirty horn bag like him going to become a devoted, loving and loyal mate? Sacha (Guardian) had a blast…not the good kind. She’s in a coma for weeks and wakes to find things a wee bit different. The biggest difference is that a God has the hots for her in a BIG way.

On the Guardians last mission, the very evil Apollo (God) is on the loose. In their attempts to recapture him, a portal opens up from another world and whisks the God away. When the Guardians decide to wake a good God, Hades, to help find Apollo, things go a little haywire. First of all, this portal that opened up brought warriors with weapons that they struggled against. These buggers were not playing nice. Hades knows all about this other world and has to come clean to his son P with some truths he kept from him. All of these problems, explanations and situations are a bit confusing.

See, even writing this review is confusing me. Let me break it down…Hades is a good God. He has a son Pothos (or something like that, better known as P) who being the son of a God is a demi-God. Hades, as we’ve previously covered, likes the chicks. If he’s not ordering people about (because he’s a God) he’s in bed with a bunch of God groupies. He has a special ability with souls and was able to help Drake’s mate, Delia/Era, who was on a path of self-destruction. Drake kind of owes him now. Anyways…Hades is walking (swaggering) around shirtless and wings flapping when an overwhelming smell draws him in. You got it…FRENZY!!! Unfortunately, gods don’t “do” frenzy like the rest. There’s is “special”. He demands his mate wakes up…does a little Abracadabra, Bibbidy Bobbidy Boo, she awakes and before he can jump his mate, Drake and Po drag his ass away. So there’s Hades story up till Sacha.

Sacha has a pretty yucky history. She was a slave to the bad God’s including Apollo, so to wake up and find out that her destined mate is a God…does not leave her with warm and fuzzies. She’s a practical chick though and knows there is no getting out of mating. The funny thing is, Hades is actually really sweet. From their first meeting, their connection is strong. When her memories from her bad times pop up at an awkward moment (THE HEAT IS ON!) she puts the breaks on and Hades gets told to back off for 5. As I said, she’s a practical chick and realises that the outcome is inevitable. Once she’s nutted it out with her fellow Guardian girlfriends, she calls him back and the music starts…and goes on…and on…and…oh my lordy…wings out…in the sky…he can do that??? I think it’s one of those myths smutty readers everywhere will believe for like 2 seconds (hello, having sex while riding a horse???) before the technicalities and the disbelief come crashing in. But to think that could happen was PRETTY DAMN HOT!! He is a God after all…maybe HE could.

So, the Guardian’s now have a God on staff and one of the Guardian’s now has God powers….COOL!! But, they’re going to need all the help they can get. The evil Tria are getting messages to Hades, warning of darkness taking over the world. Alyssa’s baby is growing a wee bit faster than they thought it would and matings are happening left, right and centre. We’re heading for SOMETHING!!!

Jeez P…did you have to go to the lake again…looks like its FRENZY time!!!

Okay, so first off... Hades was insanely HOT!! I mean... I realize he's a God and that he's sex personified, but I thought I was prepared for how sexy he was going to be in his own book. I wasn't!! What I enjoyed the most about this male was that beyond his utterly delicious sex appeal was his other similarly attractive traits that made him even more edible. He was honorable and considerate and kind and arrogant and stubborn and magnificent! I could not get enough of him and only wish there was more of him to read.

He rasped, "I need to taste you." How was it possible for words alone to be filled with enough heat to burn her up? She heard him growl, "Sacha."
Her name on his lips drugged her nearly as much as the sensation of his hand tunnelling in her hair, or the other rough hand clenched at her hip, pulling her into him as his lips descended. That first touch was electric; lightning speared through her body as his kiss destroyed the nerves.

Yeah, Hades was most definitely magnetic. A figure I couldn't look away from and found myself quite fascinated with.

Sacha was born a slave to Gods. Apollo treated her horribly, she lost her sister, and was left to raise her nephew in an environment that wasn't conducive to child rearing. Fast forward a millenia and she's a powerful Immortal Guardian, steadfast and true. She's a remarkable character and I fell in love with her so freaking easily. I loved her inner strength and her fondness for her family of Guardians and their mates. She never thought of having a mate for herself and the fact that Hades was the one who grabbed her soul, another God, scared her when she wasn't ever scared of anything. And yet, it was impossible for her not to notice how different he was from his siblings. How concerned and considerate and understanding he was towards her. How devoted and passionate he felt for her. And he did. No one had ever touched him as deeply as Sacha and Hades was willing to do whatever it took, even tone down his godliness, if it meant that he would have every part of his treasure and her love.

Even the side plot of this story was chillingly good. Pothos finds out a bit of his history and that he is a demigod born of two worlds. I'm pretty sure this information will come in handy in the stories to come. First there was the evil Gods who fed off blood and death and all sorts of negative energy. Then there was Apollo's evil son, Cyril, who was kidnapping and experimenting and pretty much needed to die. Then there was Kane, carrying Cyril's torch, in order to cheat his way to get a mate. Then there was Elizabeth, an evil all her own. Now Apollo's loose (yet not) and the evil tria are amping up for some sort of mayhem. Oh, and there's a completely different world full of Immortal Gods! I. Can't. Wait!!

I'm telling you, if you love paranormal romance with an edge, romance that includes insanely hot sex and intricate and intriguing plots, you HAVE to read this series. I promise you won't regret it!!

Sexy and satisfying as all the books in this delicious PNR series were.

Hades was everything I thought he'd be and more. Protective, intense, slightly domineering, and oh so sexy. The chemistry between him and Sacha was sizzling and the story itself engaging and fast paced.

The Guardians of the Realms series is back and doing so in style! This is a series that really needs to be read in order as its a story arc that keeps growing. I think along with other readers I had really high expectations of this book because after all Hades is a god, with godly powers and frankly as far from pious as anyone could get! Pairing him up with Guardian Sacha was a fabulous idea as she has an incredible back story.
If you have read the previous books you will know these characters are usually subjected to a mating frenzy that leaves this reader cross eyed! Yup Ms Jay pushes all boundaries and yet this time with a God in the mix she takes a slightly different approach. There are perhaps not as many action packed scenes as in previous books but the focus is primarily on the growth of the central couple and what a beautiful thing it was. Sexy naturally because hey it's Setta Jay! Funny and yet sweet too but best of all the story isn't over yet and I can't wait to read more

Four to four and a half stars.

If you're anything like me, you spent Valentines Day laughing at the hapless couples who had to spend money buying obligatory gifts to each other; all whilst curled up with a delicious novel starring a delicious hero that you secretly shed a tear over because authors such as Setta Jay have ruined real men for you. I repeat: ruined.

If you've never read a single book from this series, count yourself fortunate that your senses have not been over-stimulated by the heroes in these books. I mean, who wants to read books featuring rough, dirty-talking alphas with washboard abs that completely adore and worship their partners, right? Every single one of them so far have made my heart flutter with feels, but no one has ever got to me quite like Hades. That guy is way too delicious for his own good. He got me like
.

And before this devolves into an Ode to Hades, have an attempt of seriousness in this non-sensical review: Divine Ecstasy is the perfect followup to the previous book Searing Ecstasy. Whilst mayhem still abounds in the realms, a new world and new powers are unfolding, promising an epic showdown in the final installments of the series. Sacha makes for a lovely female lead and is a brilliant match for the arrogant Hades.

So why not five stars?
I found that there was way too much recapping for my liking. Its great for readers who have picked this book up without having read the previous books in the series, but its bad for readers such as myself who've been on this crazy rollercoaster ride from the beginning. Every single word is so precious to me so when I see them used on recaps, it makes me want to do completely irrational and highly emotional things, like write letters to these noobs and outline why I think they should politely piss off.

Rant aside, my inner fangirl found completion with this novel, and knowing that things are starting to come to an end has me getting all sniffly. June 2016, come quickly.

What happens when a god finds his soul mate resting in a coma? He wakes her the fuck up! LOL! Oh my lovely, sexy, funny, obnoxious Hades. I simply adore you. As soon as he realizes who Sacha is to him, it’s over. Kick out the hoes and change the sheets, ‘cause none will measure up to his beautifully broken Sacha.

Sacha, previously a slave to demented Gods, has never fully been able to let the trauma go. It’s a part of her fabric, her psyche. Waking up and finding out she now has a mate is both exhilarating and terrifying. What I love about Sacha is her thought process. No cat and mouse, no running away. She is a woman who understands fate and will meet her duties and lot in life head on. She knows this God will do whatever it takes to make her happy. She just has to figure out how to handle it.

Don’t ya just love it when the “bad boy” has to reign in his bravado and really figure out what his woman needs? And no, it’s not a chandelier (*Giggle snort*) He’s a God for crying out loud! I really enjoyed the humor in Divine Ecstasy. It felt more prevalent in this installment. I hope this is an added element that stays.

I have said it before and I will say it again: Jay is an author who is getting better every time she puts pen to paper. The sex gets better, the storyline is tight, and the plot most definitely thickens. I don’t see this series ending anytime soon; just more and more fans to follow it.

5 Stars

Book 8 in the Guardians of the Realm series

Probably a bit spoilerish if you haven't read the other books

Picking up where we left off in the previous book Sacha is still in a coma from an unknown poison and Hades is in recovery from his battle with the mysterious warriors from another world. As he lays there recovering he can feel another soul calling out to his, it's driving him mad so he goes to investigate. When he sees Sacha, he knows she is his soulmate so he immediately heals her. His reactions when the other Guardians warn him to be gentle with Sacha is priceless, he is a God why wouldn't she want him?

I loved Hades, he is deliciously arrogant but he does listen to the others and is so gentle and patient with Sacha. When he hears what happened to her at the hands of Apollo he is even more determined to find the other God and make him suffer for the things he did. This book focuses a lot on the relationship between these two and the sex scenes are off the charts HOT, loved them.

The storyline moves on apace,we learn a lot more about the other world, the Tria know something is coming and are preparing themselves for release so they can spread their evil. It looks like Pothos' story is next and since his mate is from the other realm things look set to get even more interesting. Cannot wait.

Poor Sacha - girl has had a hard life. It was really cool reading about Hades in this setting and I liked how attentive he was towards Sacha. One of the great things about these books is how protective, sensitive, wild and caring the mates are towards each other. Like with all the other books, this is driven by the frenzy as well as a lot of action sequences and of course a cliff hanger ending.

I tried ordering a Hades of my own as soon as I was done reading and got declined. FML. I supposed I'll live vicariously through Setta Jay's awesome Guardians of the Realm books to get my daily feels of hot Alpha Male goodness.

I read this book in one sitting, literally pulled out my "Shut the Fuck up I'm reading" sign and got down to it. Bad news, the books over and life as I know it for the next oh couple months will be subpar I will endeavor to survive though for Setta.

Divine ecstasy pulls you in right from the start. We get a brief glimpse into what happened in Sacha's past. She was a slave to the evil gods and she was ashamed of her past. Her strength astounds me. Bastian was her sisters son and she did what she needed to save him.

Fast forward and she's the calm and collected guardian. Behind the facade is a whole other story. She has nightmares, she is scarred and afraid to let anyone see. But boy does Hades help fix her right up.

Hades, our resident bad boy. He is sexy, sensual, confident in his looks and abilities to the point of being super cocky But seriously who can blame him. He's as comfortable in clothes as he is out of it. which hilariously makes Pothos seriously uncomfortable . There's only so many times he wants to see his dad in his birthday suit. Their relationship was so cute, Hades is super protective of Pothos but talks to him like P is his wingman. I Lol'd when Hades was trying to get love advice from P. All the other guardians are super protective of Sacha, I loved that. I also loved how they ribbed Hades about it as well. Mr man whore totally reformed. We get super steamy love scenes because Setta totally rocks on the under the covers shit. We also got to see super sweet Hades. Mr big bad Teddy bear!

I love seeing all the other guardians and what was up with them. Nastia and Sander were Fantastic! Never a dull moment with those 2.

We got lots more going on here. The puzzle peices are coming together and there is a bigger oncoming evil. More hot characters coming into the story. Future love interest for our remaining guardians? I can't wait to see what's incoming for Guardians.

Enjoy!

This installment of the series was slightly different in tone than the previous once, but non the less excellent. The universe expanded with the introduction of a new realm populated with mysteries and a bunch of interesting characters with unpronounceable names (I hope the Guardians give them some cool "earthly" nicknames in the future installments). The main love story was slightly different as well - Sasha and Hades didn't have the easiest or fluffiest time getting together, but their chemistry was undeniable and Hades might be my the sweetest, loveliest hero Setta Jay has ever invented, despite his arrogance and annoying tendencies towards everyone but Sasha. He was infinitely patent, loving and generous and completely deserving of Sasha. The only complaint I have is that the book finishes on a cliffhanger (not for the love story) and the next installment is scheduled to be out in late summer, which will be an excruciatingly long time to wait for P's story.

The eARC for Divine Ecstasy (The Guardians of the Realms #8) by Setta Jay was kindly provided to me for review via NetGalley.

Possible pet peeves: cliffhanger ending.

I was extremely excited to read about Hades & this book did not disappoint. The author did a fantastic job with his character. I really enjoyed reading from his POV. I didn't notice any glaring editing errors & the story had a good pace. The overall story arc continues to entertain me & I look forward to the next installment in this series.

I LOVED this book. I will admit I was worried because of the direction of this series. This being the 8th book of paranormal series means there's a lot of people around, BUT this still reads nicely. Not huge amounts of information or people dump. The story was very sweet and definitely a hot romance.

What fun!!!

I've had a soft spot for Sacha since the start and well Hades was amazing and wonderfully arrogant and probably the funniest out of all the males so far. Some new players have just landed on the playing field and only two books left. This is going to be good. I just know it!!

OMFG! That ending! That beginning! THE WHOLE THING! I'm speechless.... Just a fair warning, there will be some spoilers ahead - Read at your own risk! (But definitely READ THIS BOOK!)

So it is absolutely NO secret that I am in love with Setta Jay's Guardians of the Realms series. I've devoured each book as it came out, until this one. Why? Because, for the first time in my life I actually wanted to prolong the anticipation. Well that, and I thought that the series would be coming to an end soon since we were running out of Guardians, so I was trying to make it last! Little did I know... Ms. Jay had some tricks up her sleeves, the sneak ;) As it turns out, life also got in the way of reading for me so when I was able to finally sit down without any distractions to read Divine Ecstasy, the next in the series had released early. So now I get to jump right into the next book! And let me tell you, with the ending in this one, that's a really good thing!

At the end of Searing Ecstacy, the awakened God Hades stumbles upon Sacha, one of the Guardians who had been poisoned in a battle and was in a coma like sleep. He quickly realized she was his mate. So the beginning was awesome since it picks up right where we left off last. And damn, I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised with how fast and hard I fell for Hades! ❤ Conn had been my top favorite Guardian thus far, and P had taken up a very close second. Now I'm so torn, I don't even know what to do with myself!

Hades is the definition of a ladies man. Orgies, sex, sex and lots o sex for him. He's always had a soft spot for the ladies, and with his rocking body and panty melting grin, the ladies have always fell for him. I honestly wasn't sure how I would feel towards him, what with his arrogance and all, but I can gladly say he's won me over and truthfully, it didn't take long ;)

Sacha is a Guardian and had been in Apollo's camps so she has learned to keep certain emotions buried deep. Waking from her coma, she's pretty shocked to learn not only does she have a mate, which she never thought would happen, but also that he happens to be a God. Let's just say, it took a minute for her to come to terms.

Hades and Sacha pretty much jump right into the mating, with a few bumps in the road at the start. Hades did a complete one-eighty and was completely devoted to only her. In fact, one of the things I loved most about him was how, after he let go of some hardheadedness, how he realized that Sacha needed a little extra care in the intimacy department after her torturous time with Apollo. His tenderness towards her was very endearing and swoon inducing ❤ Sacha realized that she had certain issues, and she talked them out with Hades and once they got past that, ohhh man, Setta outdid herself with the sexy times! It was awww-some! My poor Kindle, I think I drooled on it a bit ;)

Aside from the mating going well, catching up with old characters, the plot definitely thickened in the overall story arc. With the discovery of the other world, Thule, we got some pov's from the Goddess Gefn, who it turns out will be P's mate! Oh Em Gee! We learn a bit more about that world, but really it was just enough to wet the appetite for more. I swear, if I didn't have Storm of Ecstasy waiting for me to finish this review, I'd be blowing Setta Jay's FB up! :D

Back on target though, Divine Ecstasy was an all consuming addition to the series. I couldn't put it down. As I have with all the previous books in this series, I loved the writing, the story line and the overall feel of the book. I'm a huge fan of paranormal romance, but it seems like it's harder and harder to find books to fit the bill these days. Luckily for me, that's never the case with a Guardians of the Realms book! This is one series that I honestly love so much, I'm willing to accept the almost cliffhanger endings, and the excruciating wait in between books. I highly recommend this series for everyone who is a fan of paranormal, sexy goodness, and captivating stories! ❤

A special thanks to the author for gifting this copy in exchange for an honest review

Holy Hades that was a sexy read!

I know I shouldn't be surprised that Setta's books are sexy, they all are and I love them but this one seemed more intense!!

Hades has been awoken and met his mate Sacha, now Hades isn't a guardian like the others finding mates in this series - he is a GOD, he is powerful and he knows it! That shouldn't be a problem in seducing the woman you are destined to be with but Sacha was held by gods years ago. Pothos his son features lots in this book and his advice to his dad is:

"I'd minimise some of your godly shit"

That really made me chuckle.

Divine Ecstasy flows differently to the other books, in some ways it is more of a romance book, obviously a hell of a lot sexier but there is less fighting in this book.

“Damn it, Sacha,” he growled, “I’m going to come hard. And I want you to take it all. Grip my cock when I come, hold it deep so not a drop spills free.”

Most of the other guardians make an appearance through Hades and Sacha's journey and I loved hearing from Uri, he is still one of favourites.

In some ways this could be thought of as a crossover book, like when NCIS traveled to LA to introduce a new group of agents. In this book we learn of another realm and it is very interesting. It could all just be part of the Guardians Realm or I could see a spin-off from them, that's just me speculating though.

I found Hades really endearing and his woman matched him perfectly, the heat from the pages when they were 'getting to know one another' was scorching and addictive.

When you start Setta's books make sure you have time to read them as you will be craving to get back to it.

Another great installment in the Guardians of the Realms series, bring on book 9 and P's book.

I read this in one sitting. It was that good!

It's no wonder The Guardians of the Realms series fast became a fave of mine. It's paranormal at its best, with some Greek mythology in it; really hot and caring alpha males and strong heroines. Some I loved, others I liked, but each and every book has made me smile, swoon or fan myself.

"Hades was a being of pure sexual beauty."

I've encountered the character of the [in]famous mythological god of the Underworld in other books too. But he was always a sadistic negative character, that wasn't endearing. The fact that Ms. Jay decided to totally write him as an actual hero? KUDOS! That was pure genius! And she definitely managed to still keep him a little bit dark and mysterious, with him oozing pure and raw sex by just standing and doing nothing. Takes a certain gift for that.

Okay, so all the males Ms. Jay created are hot. But Hades? He totally dethroned Drake. I mean really, "He was everything a male should be: sexy, immensely strong, amusing, and unapologetically loving."

The fact that he, the king of orgies has immediately abandoned that hobby just made him that more perfect!

Lust quickly turns to love, but who can blame Sacha? Oh, I loved her. She didn't create drama, she quickly laid down the law with Hades, making him know how things will be.

Again, Ms. Setta Jay left us with an ending that makes me want more and right now. Fingers crossed the wait won't be that long! So yes, 5 stars. I want to thank the author for the copy given in exchange for my honest review.

Re read on june 2020

Yay Hades ! I forgot why would he have a book and then i saw Sasha was his mate and i was like yay! It was fun being in his arrogant head and seing him getting humble thanks to Sasha. More is uncovered and the action is still intense but you can feel like Something big is coming.

I miss paranormal romance/erotica apparently ...

Always a greaaat pleasure to come back to this serie !!!
The story is so good and hot and i love every single characters !!!
This one was more a transition book. Something BIG is coming and while i can't wait to read the last 2 books, i'm also going to miss this world. The suspens is killing me ^^.
The mating between guardians and their love interest are more or less the same (it's more physical than sentimental most of the time) but the story around it gets to me every time.
I want to know the rest, i'm not bored and the writing is easy.
Yes, some little things bugged me a little but overall i was giddy reading it !

Every book I read I'm super invested in the guardian who's book is the NEXT book. I was super eager to read about Hades honestly when he first came in, but this whole book, and last book, I've been obsessed with P. Now I REALLY wanted Sander to have his own book because he visually is so different from the others to me, but I won't get that so whatever, now I'm eager for P and obviously Sierra because who the hell that girl gonna get?! I NEED to know. I have the next book from NetGalley so after I finish a few reads I'll be right onto that one so I'm completely up to date!

“Hades, do not make me regret telling her you were okay. I like you, but fuck this up and I will rip off all your pretty feathers, shove them up your ass, and then use you as a feather duster.”

I knew Hades would get his own book at some point in this series, but I had no idea who his mate was going to be. To know it was Sacha only made it that much better!

We didn't know much about Sacha's history up until this book. We knew that she was a Teleporter (Kairos) and that she was Bastian's mother (really his aunt, but she ended up practically adopting him after his mother died); but beyond that her backstory was kind of a mystery. Getting to learn about her history was heart-wrenching! She had to do a lot of things that traumatized her - that would traumatize any woman! - and it was something she needed to learn to process because she had never really had the opportunity.

Hades though, despite being painted as an arrogant, womanizing god, soul-bonded to her almost immediately and wanted to work with Sacha to harness her new (and hidden) powers and understand her past. He was supportive and caring and loving and he would never allow any harm to come to his mate.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Hades and Sacha being a mated pair at first but I absolutely loved it! They really are perfect for each other and it makes me giggle knowing Sacha is now P's step-mom and Hades is Bastian's step-daddy. Hehehe.

I can't believe I'm almost finished all ten of these novels! What am I going to do with myself when I'm done?!

~ 3.5 Divine Ecstasy Stars ~

Divine Ecstasy is book eight in the Guardians of the Realms series by Setta Jay. This series has fast become one of my favorites. I love the Guardians, the world and characters dreamed up in this spicy series.

Divine Ecstasy was not as jaw-dropping or plot oriented as previous installments. The book focuses around Sacha and Hades, with just small glimpses of what might happen in the future books. We don’t get to see many battles in this story, we end on a cliffhanger and we get to find out who’s book is next.

What I Liked:

Sacha, she is one of three female Guardians. This is the fist full length book devoted to one of the female Guardians. We all know (from reading previous books) that she kept to herself, but we don’t no the full reasons why. Here we finally get to find out why. I also loved her tenacity and determination to not let the bad memories torment her. She is a one strong tough female. Watching her grow and let her mate Hades in, was sweet to read.

Hades is a powerful God who was awakened from the Creator’s enforced sleep. He is scrumptious, thoughtful, sweet and dominant. I loved that he had to take baby steps and show his mate Sacha that he is not like all the others who hurt her. I also loved how he was so sensitive with Sacha’s needs as she battled with her memories. He was there for her and supportive.

We have a totally different kind of mating. It doesn’t take the usual course as all the previous ones before it, this has to do with how the bonding was done and that a God is in the mix.

What I Didn’t Like:

I really missed the battles. This one was not as action-packed as I have come to enjoy from the series.

We get glimpses of Thurl and it's people, but felt like we where not getting enough information on this new mythical land. I felt like we needed more then what we where given.

This novel ends on a cliffhanger. I'm not a fan of cliffhangers. I will say the cliffhanger for this novel does work. Making the reader stop and think what might be next for these Guardians.

I enjoyed this novel and even though Divine Ecstasy was not my favorite. It is still well worth reading. We get a few surprises and developments that make you stop and think as well as our first full novel devoted to one of the female Guardians. I am looking forward to seeing what is in-store for everyone, because something big is coming.

*Disclaimer: I purchased this book for my own consumption and I also received a complementary ARC copy provided by Setta Jay with the sole purpose of an honest review. All thoughts, comments and ratings are my own.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This series. Gah! While I have more than enjoyed all the male Guardian stories, I have been anxiously waiting for the next female Guardian to find a mate. We know that it is more difficult for the female Guardians to find mates because their male needs to be more powerful than themselves. Well who could be more powerful that a Guardian? A God of course! I don't know why I didn't see that one coming, but I didn't and it was a fantastic surprise for me.

Sacha has always been pretty low key in the previous books so it is almost funny that Hades would be her mate. I mean the God is anything but low key. But as soon as he learns of his mate, you kind of see him just settle into the role of protective male and wow was it wonderful. He's still seriously intense, as are all these delicious alpha-males, but everything in him is focused on Sacha and it is both hot and heartwarming. I just loved mated Hades!

Now there is, of course, so much else going on in the story, like the small matter of the fate of the worlds. Throw in a new world with mysterious Gods and a smidgen of utter confusion and well, we have quite an awesome book!

I read this in just a few hours which is really kind of mind boggling because there is so much story here. And that also left me both gleeful and sad because I was happy to finish it but depressed that it was over. Like, mope around my house, not knowing what to do with myself depressed. Setta always manages to pack a mega punch with her books that leave you feeling utterly fulfilled while also salivating for more. I desperately need the next book!

4 1/2 "Hades is THE MAN!" Stars!

Loved it!! I didn't think anyone would surpass Con for me in this series, but Hades did it. His fierce protection of Sasha and Pothos was so endearing. Who can resist a male that is a wonderful mate and a wonderful father?! Plus! He was super sexy. All good. Sasha was also a great female lead. She was incredibly strong and intelligent. She could be logical without completely over thinking things and ruining her life by causing undue angst and drama. She was just perfect.

Now, I cannot wait for the next book! And I actually have to wait! :( So much is happening in the Realms and now a whole new world! With new gods, and new warriors, a bunch of new characters!! This story is gettin' good! ;) I have enjoyed reading this series so much. The only yucky/bad part (not bad writing, I just wish they would disappear) in this book was the Tria getting even the few pages of face time they did. Blah, blah, blah... They are evil beyond compression. Please don't let them have anything go their way. Just leave them out of the whole story.

Pothos! I am so excited for his story. Write quickly Ms. Jay! Happy reading!!

*Series should be read in order.

So I clearly went from book three to eight. I don't know why, it just happens to me sometimes. But that is what is so fantastic about this series, every book can be read as a stand-alone, anyways on to my review.

Finally!

A god! No really a sexy, I want to so throw myself at and let him do dirty things to me, god. Hades. I loved his character, he was so different than the Guardians, yet still had that sexual charge, that attracts you to every single male character in this series.

I liked Sacha too. Her strength to overcome a wretched past was heartwarming. These two definitely are a power couple-literally. But hold on. Troubles coming and its coming fast; After showing up twice, Deimos, a demon from hell, has come with a warning that darkness will fall and that Hades will need the Tria’s help. What does that mean? I have no clue. The book ended on a cliff-hanger and I’m very curious to find out what all of it means. Need the next book, like yesterday.

2016.....God damn what sort of wicked publishing company does that. My mind becomes morose if I have to wait to long. We all can recall books we have waited FOREVER for and as release day approaches you think meh!! Took to long I carn't even remember the thread.
whine over...... as you can see I am a HUGE Setta fan. These beauties need rolling out back to back xxxl

Sighs with delight.... Hades..... fabulous and Sacha was just perfect for him. Here's hoping P's book rocks too (as if there is any doubt it won't). I have decided in my magnificence that Sirena is going to end up with Hroarr.....waddaya think Setta? xxxx
