Rock hard. His motto, his music. His body. His… you know.
Cadence He’s brash, arrogant, smug - the very definition of a rock god. All the things any girl likes from afar, but up close? A girl should run away. At least, smart girls run. Not girls like me. Not girls who lose their damn minds over a man with calloused hands, sexy moves, and a little musical talent. One night with him was a dream come true… Until the morning’s headlines revealed a nightmare… SLEEPING WITH HIS STEPSISTER?! Rock Star Sex Scandal!
Keir Assholes like me should keep their dirty hands off of nice girls like her. One touch is would never be enough. Not even when I learned from the gossip columns that the girl’s my stepsister. I had no clue how it happened - was she in on it? Was it some kind of con? Our one night stand became a hell of a lot more complicated. Because if I was going to be seeing her around, I knew - one night was not enough.
Heat turns to hate in a flash and back again in this standalone novel, for adults only!
Independent author Ellen Callahan reads and writes edgy contemporary romances. She is also enthusiastic about baking cookies and loves rock music - the louder, the better. When she isn't writing, she's spending her time with her three rambunctious nephews.
Ellen can be found in New York City, chugging coffee and walking too fast while forgetting where she was supposed to be going in the first place. If she look confused, it's okay, she's just working on a plot point. Please point her towards the nearest subway station.
I love happy endings and even though I knew it would be, I loved it! Cadence and Keir were great characters as were their parents, albeit they weren’t in the book a lot.
I got about half way then stopped and tried again to no avail. I liked the premise but there was no conversation between anyone to straighten out the confusion, it could have been solved right about but that doesn't make for a good read, I guess. I got bored with it and found myself skimming to get to the point that I did get to.
It's not a really deep story and it's a bit predictable, but the characters are fun and the whole book was enjoyable. I definitely recommend it for a quick feel good read.
