The Picasso Provenance

They say there is always another side to every story. Here, there are lots of sides: Murder, Vengeance, Theft, Fraud, Sexual Deceit, and Lies.

Sarah Hastings is pretty, self-assured and nobody’s fool. But when she flies into New York to surprise her father on his birthday, surprise spirals into shock as she confronts a grotesque horror that sends her tumbling helplessly into a vortex of murder, vengeance and lies.

Desperate for help, she turns to family friend Adam Kennedy, an art dealer on the brink of a multi-million-dollar sale of Picasso paintings. Despite haunted by a dissonance from his past, Adam cannot resist her, but grows more concerned on finding Sarah’s ordeal has implications far beyond her distressing encounter . . . even going so far as murder.

The attraction between them intensifies as their problems continue to escalate. Adam becomes distraught on learning his Picasso deal is now unaccountably at risk and scrambles to revive it, but his alarm worsens on finding that both he and Sarah have become prime homicide suspects.

As things continue to disintegrate, Sarah is confronted by a harrowing revelation leading her to reject everyone, even Adam, when she discovers her whole life has been a lie.

THE PICASSO PROVENANCE is a complex, high-stakes thriller that not only maintains fast-paced tension throughout, but keeps you guessing to the very last paragraph on the very last page.

SAMPLE AMAZON REVIEWS:

Amazon UK: Well that was my weekend sorted!! Couldn't put the book (kindle) down for two days, it was a real page turner from the start and was full of twists and turns throughout - looking forward to whatever comes next from Dann Farrell.

Amazon US: A great storyline that keeps unfolding with one surprise after another, interesting characters, and just the right amount of steamy sex and gore. A perfect getaway book - great for the beach or those long winter nights. And once you start reading, it's one of those books you can't put down, because you just gotta see what happens next! Every bit as good as a Michael Connelly or a James Patterson, and I should know, I've read most.

Amazon UK: Behind the glamorous jet-set world of multi-million-dollar art deals lie dubious priests, conniving ex- lovers, sexual deviants, double crossers, cold-blooded killers and lonely cops. No one can trust anyone in this depraved arena of Picasso and vengeance.

Amazon US: Very well written, characters were well developed, could not put it down. The art world plot was fascinating, lots of mystery, murder and intrigue. The author kept me guessing until the end. I gave the book 4 stars because some descriptions were a little too graphic for me. Otherwise this is an excellent book

Amazon UK: Been reading crime fiction for 50 years from Chandler and McBain till today--The Picasso Provenance is an enjoyable noir art crime tale of dubious morals and double-cross that can sit comfortable beside my Patricia Cornwell and can, if filmed, sit beside my Basic Instinct.

If you enjoy compulsive mystery thrillers that are impossible to put down, check out the sample in the Look Inside option or buy THE PICASSO PROVENANCE now.

This book was a well-paced page turner. It had overtones of Dan Brown novels, but I really enjoyed the characters far more, as they were fallible and very dynamic. I found myself cheering on the relationship between Sarah Hastings and Adam Kennedy. Full of plot twists, murder, sex and suspense makes this a thoroughly enjoyable thriller!

I'm generally not a fan of the thriller genre (unless it's disguised in costume of science fiction, like Michael Crichton or Daniel Suarez), but I genuinely enjoyed this book. Perhaps it was the author's ability to pull me into the intrigue of the art world? Or the characters, which were well-developed and had solid motives? Or the fast pace of it combined with a good dollop of gory action? Regardless, this was an enjoyable odd egg in my normal reading fare and I don't regret spending time with the story that Mr. Farrell has created here.

This was a good book, relatively predictable but interesting. I struggled between 2 stars and 3, but since I enjoyed the book, ended up giving it 3 stars! Enjoy a light, easy read!

Gripping

A well written thriller of deceit, betrayal and forgery in the world of art dealers and agents. Well done Mr Farrell, you held my interest to the very last page.

Nice read

Nice story. A few proofreading errors were spotted, probably due to talk to text/print. Interesting twists, but could have been shorter.
