Plot Twist
Julie Cromwell is a selfish, manipulative, incure woman and those are her good qualities. Wanting to know if her husband will pay a million dollars to get her back, she sets up a fake kidnapping. Something goes wrong and she winds up dead. Thus, the first plot twist, but certaintly not the last.
Enter lead Homicide Detective Karl Larkin and his partner Ted Cramer. Together they begin to rattle the skeletons in the family closets. They begin following leads that lead only to dead ends. Together the two detectives go deep into the lives of a twisted family. Larkin soon finds himself breaking his number one rule. Never get involved with the family you're investigating, and never, never fall in love with your prime suspect.

Julie Cromwell fakes her kidnapping to see if her husband loves her enough to pay the $1 mil in ransom. So boring I forgot how it ended.

I was given this book to read by the authors son. I was thoroughly impressed. The title of this book could not be more perfect. I cannot wait to read more from this author!

Great Read
Tight plot until the end. Whodunnit held tight and great anticipation. This tale of abuse, deception, greed, murder, romance and police integrity is a fine one!
