Nowadays, there's a lot of high-quality photo books about sneakers. This one's unique because it reaches beyond the Nike-Adidas-Puma axis.

Brands like Vans, Converse, New Balance, ASICS, and Reebok receive fair play, of course. But Le Maux also supplies spreads on forgotten freshness like PONY, Fila, and K-Swiss.

If you're a Jordans fan or the type of person who has Superstars in 12 different colors, then you'll be frustrated by the shallowness of their representation. However, this makes room for Olajuwon's Etonics, Arthur Ashe's Le Coq Sportifs, or Spud Webb's City Wings.
