The year is 2016 and East Asia is a powderkeg. North Korea is close to acquiring advanced nuclear weapon capabilities and territorial disputes in the East and South China Seas threaten to boil over into a regional conflict. A divided Communist Party in China has the potential to destabilize the country and its neighbors. It is in this environment that Robert Murdoch, a former Army Ranger and DEA agent attached to the CIA station in Bangkok, Thailand embarks on the conclusion of a long investigation. Following clues of a possible drug tie between the North Korean regime and the SE Asian gangs funding it, Murdoch becomes more convinced of a larger and more immediate threat connected to a mysterious foe from his past. In a race against time across Asia, Murdoch quickly realizes that the price of peace may be more than both the world, and he personally, is willing to bear.
