Wow! Rachelle Ayala never ceases to amaze me. Every book she writes is so unique and so good. I started reading this, and before I realized it, I was up half the night finishing it.
Bad Boys for Hire Ken is book two in the series and can be read alone as both books are so different, but you would probably enjoy it even more if you read in order since there are recurring characters, and the beginning picks up with Jolie's wedding.

Jolie is stranded at the altar after her husband-to-be is a no show. Not only does her husband not show, everything that could go wrong does, but butJolie is also a tough woman and puts on a strong appearance at the reception.

Ken is hired to stand in as a groom at a wedding. It is an odd request but he needs the money, so he gathers is crippled sister up and heads to the venue, only to arrive too late. Nikki, Jolie's friend, meets him at the door and offers him a different job, to go to Hawaii and woo Jolie. When he sees Jolie, he takes the job but turns down the money except for a ticket for his sister for his personal reasons.

I loved this story. It is light-hearted and so funny at times, then there are serious notes as well. I adored Jolie. I can relate to her OCD, and Allergies, though mine is nothing compared to hers. I adored how Ken accepted Jolie as she was and worked so hard to get her to recognize him and fall for him. There are a few really steamy sex scenes. There are a few twists, and I loved the ending.

If you like men for hire, escorts, beach bums, strong, passionate women, sweet romance, funny romance, steamy sex scenes and one heck of a great anytime read, I highly recommend this one.

I loved the print version and I am a big fan of expanding my book collection, but the audiobook presented some stiff competition. I can't decide, so it's a good thing I saw the need to buy both. Mr. Abell brings his humor to the table. He never takes

Bad Boys For Hire: Ken is a deeply moving and intensely raw journey of learning to truly accept every part of yourself. If you don’t love yourself, you will never believe that anyone else can ever honestly love you. Wisdom may come with age, but that doesn’t mean that it gets any easier to find reasons to love yourself when you have been clearly shown just how deeply flawed and perfectly unworthy you are of the mark set before you. No matter how powerful and genuine the love of another is, it will never be able to penetrate your heart if you refuse to believe that you are loveable. If you aren’t careful, you can slowly tear your world apart with uncontrolled doubt and baseless guilt. The best we can do is to learn to let go and accept the realization that we were created to be perfectly imperfect. Only One is perfect, and His love is the only thing that can make you perfect.

Jolie was forced to endure the worst thing possible on her wedding day. Not only was her fiancé missing, but he had cheated on her with a stripper from his bachelor party. To add insult to injury, she found her wedding itself falling apart just like her relationship with her ex. Digging deep, she pasted on a fake smile and chose to face and thank each of those who attended her ceremony for their support and love. Falling apart just like her dream wedding was not an option, so she waited until she could do it in later in private. In an attempt to cheer her up and prove to her that there was still come good in this world, her friends hired an escort name Ken to show her a good time on her honeymoon. He was determined to show her a good time after the pain and humiliation that Jolie was forced to endure. Would the romantic atmosphere and mysterious charm of the Islands cloud their better judgment, or would they discover more than either of them bargained for?

Ken and Jolie both fascinated me for very different reasons. While Jolie’s circumstances are very different from anything I have ever had to endure, I can completely identify with how she felt about measuring up short to those around her. That’s an easy thing to identify with when you have been raised being told that you just aren’t good enough. It’s hard to go through life knowing you are different through no true fault of your own. Life just seems to throw more blessing and advantages to some and not others. Ken’s inner struggle wasn’t about recognition since his outward transformation but about learning that while he could make his intentions known, it was up the other person as to whether they wanted what he had to offer. He had to learn what truly loving another person meant. While vulnerably and sacrifices hurt, in the end they will without a doubt bring you the greatest rewards.

I never fail to fall hopelessly in love with a story carefully and lovingly crafted by Rachelle Ayala. Her masterful talent never fails to astound and amaze me. This is one author that you don’t want to miss out on! Her heart is what draws me to her and keeps me coming back for more. She can tenderly touch and heal the raw parts of your heart, and show you that it really is ok to be you. We just need to strive to become a better version of who we are each and every day.

Bad Boys for Hire is a business providing actors for hire to fill requests for clients, usually for fake boyfriends & party dates. Ken is an ex-surfer, model, actor that works for the service. He is asked to take on the role as a groom to help a bride save face after the groom didn't show. What the bride doesn't know is that her friends gagged & tied him up after they caught him having sex with the stripper from the bachelor party. Jolie has extreme OCD & likes her lists a little too much. She decides to go through with the honeymoon exactly as the groom planned even though she was either allergic to them or couldn't follow through with the activities for one reason or another. After it didn't work out to have Ken step in for the groom, Jolie's friend, Nikki, paid Ken to come to Hawaii & accidentally meet up with Jolie & pay attention to her. Actually, she only ended up paying for his sister's plane ticket. Ken paid his own way since he has had a crush on Jolie since elementary school.

I enjoy Rachelle's style of writing. It's easy to read & flows nicely. The characters are well developed & likable. You find yourself rooting for Ken even with the dishonesty. Both Ken & Jolie have their own journeys to follow before they find the path to love. Jolie needs to realize she can let go of the control at times without everything falling apart & that she has more to offer than her lists of allergies. Ken needs to understand that he is lovable for himself & not just his looks & surfing. He can let people in on his fears without them leaving. Can Ken & Jolie find their way to each other or will their fears get in the way?

Miss Rachelle Ayala knows how to soften your heart.

Jolie and Ken's relationship started when they were kids. Ken was being bullied and turned into a very handsome escort. Ken will keep you breathless, his endless love for his sister is unremarkable. Miss Rachelle Ayala knows how to soften your heart. You will adore him more as you go along with the story.

Jolie is an allergy prone who is also has OCD. I loved her friendship with Nikki. Disaster happened during the Bachelor party. Nikki saves the day from the embarrassment. Miss Rachelle Ayala's new series Bad Boy For Hire second book will keep you guessing until the end. This book is so perfect for people who has severe allergy. I can relate it with my daughter. It is an eye-opening especially the epi-pen. I hope I never use that with her.

The setting of the book is in Hawaii. Paradise which is the top of my bucket list. Reading this book gives you insight how the Big Island is aside from the fun adventures of Jolie and Ken.

I LOVED this story. Love will always find way for lovers to connect.

Disclosure:

I received an ARC of the book in exchange for my honest review.

What a fun read! This is a fast-moving story that includes characters who had minor parts in Bad Boys For Hire: Ryker. It can be read as a standalone.

Ken is the perfect guy! Really, I don't know any woman who wouldn't want to take this hunk home. Sweet, considerate, devoted to his injured sister, and all around swoony. Not to say he doesn't have his flaws or make mistakes, but really, those should be forgiven. LOL Jolie is a fun character. With her list of problems, allergies, and general difficulties in what would be easy situations for many of us, I though it was fun to see her grow and change throughout the story as she struggled to overcome her fears and obsessions. These two sizzle on the page and the chemistry is definitely there. However, they each have issues. While they want to fall head first into love, those problems make reality different than they hope.

I started out reading a chapter a night, but had to go for a marathon and finish it in the wee hours of the morning after chapter 4. The descriptions of Hawaii were great as well and make me want to visit and go rappelling down a waterfall!

This is the 2nd book in the Bad Boys for Hire series. You should read the 1st book before you read this one so you are familiar with the characters. Jolie is ready to marry Warren, however, he doesn't show up at the Church. Jolie's friends, try to get a stand in groom and call Bad Boy Bikers for hire. Ken arrives, but is too late. Jolie has already called off the wedding. He agrees to go to Hawaii to try to "take her mind off" of the wedding gone bad. Jolie take's Nikki in Warren's place and Ken and his sister Carol go to Hawaii. However, Ken refused to get paid. He said he would do it if Nikki bought his sister's plane ticket. Jolie insists on doing everything on the list that Warren made for her honeymoon even though her allergies prevent her from doing a lot of it. Ken and Jolie have a great time until an unexpected guest shows up and tells Jolie that Ken is just a hired actor. Will Ken and Jolie be able to work this out? Will Nikki and Carol help Jolie and Ken get back together?

Fun, sassy and very entertaining! Another great story of love finding it's way and overcoming even the most picky and uncooperative people. Jolie's perfectly planned wedding turns out not so perfect after all: shellfish for a family plagued with allergies, flowers switched with another wedding, redecorating the cake just before the wedding, and, to top it off, the groom got too cozy to one of the strippers. Her friends couldn't let Jolie's special day go down the drain, so they did the only thing they could do: hire a male scort to replace the groom. While Ken, former surfer, awaits his first acting gig, he accepts a job with Bad Boys for Hire. When he's contacted to make a last minute appearance as the groom in a doomed wedding, he realizes that the bride is non other than his childhood crush. He's determined to persue her, so he follows her on her bittermoon in order to win her heart.

I enjoyed listening to this story. I found it to be funnier than I expected. When I picked it up, I was expecting a steamy romance. I got that. This story is definitely steamy. I was also expecting it to be a bit more on the serious or depressing side. Being stood up at the altar doesn't make for happy times. Yet that is what Rachelle Ayala gave us. The "honeymoon" was hilarious! The story also held a sweet surprise for me. That twist made it more interesting. The return of the groom made for some tense reading and a what would you do daydream. Yes. Depending on the story and the skill of the narrator, I can daydream myself into the story. I like Chris Abell. He brings the story to life and draws my imagination in. The twist in this story resonated with me and made it easy to put myself in the story. I had a good time. I will probably be listening to this again during the long cold winter days. I recommend the book to romance lovers who like a story with some heat to it.

I gotta stop believing the hype about freebies.

It started out pretty good, then became a bit insensitive if not offensive and then got cringeworthy. You may love it but it was NOT FOR ME.

Examples: Insensitive/annoying. Repeatedly referring to a character as "the Asian woman" and another as "the cripple", "the disabled" and others as "the hired help".
- The word diary appeared where it should have been dairy at least 3 times. She was allergic to dairy products, not a journal-like book.
- The word bride appears 48 x in this short book.

You have the heroine who has allergies and OCD - “I can’t have seafood,” Jolie said. “I’m also allergic to all shellfish." "I don’t eat pork,” Jolie said. “And no dairy either.” “Does it have mayonnaise? I’m allergic to eggs.” ... “They need to be gluten-free.”... “Can’t have nuts,” Jolie replied. “Not any citrus.” “Ugh, no bananas either, sorry.” Jolie wrinkled her nose.
“I’ll eat some of the watermelon or the chicken. Although I can’t have soy sauce... But no yogurt or dairy products.”

You have the hero - He was handsome enough to be a Romeo, objectively speaking. Blue-gray eyes, sandy blond hair, and a year round tan thanks to his professional surfing career—one which ended when he suffered a concussion after being pummeled by a fifty-foot El Niño-spurred wave at an extreme surfing competition. Here he was, washed up at twenty-nine. His balance was off, and he suffered dizzy spells, which meant he couldn’t even wait tables while trying to land an acting role.

You have the ex-groom -
“Hey, I’m not the one with my legs wrapped around a male prostitute.”
“Male prostitute? How dare you. Ken’s a friend. Someone I happened to meet on the trip.”
“Oh, really? Is that what he told you?” Warren put his hands on his hips and knocked his head back, laughing hard. “It might have taken me a while, but once I got a good look at his slinking behind, I finally figured out what kind of scum he is.”
“Are you saying I hired him from an escort service? Do you think I’m that desperate? I’m not like you. I never pay for sex.”
“Maybe you didn’t, but Ken works for Bad Boys for Hire. Last time I saw him, he was sitting on a barstool pretending to be your friend Terri’s groom, telling a tall tale about her death to trick Ryker’s brothers.”
Jolie had heard about the ruse, but didn’t know Ken was the actor hired to play the part. “So? That doesn’t mean a thing. He and his sister are on vacation. I didn’t pay him a dime.”
“You didn’t, but I bet he was paid to squire you around. Think about it, Jol, why else would a guy like that want to put up with your list of allergies and restrictions?” Warren slumped himself on the bed and picked up the TV remote. “Since this is my room, too, I’ll be staying.”
“But, we’re not married.”
“Welcome to the obvious,” Warren said. “Never stopped you from sleeping with me before.”
“I’m not sleeping with you. Not tonight. Not tomorrow. Not ever.”
“You’re pissed because you wanted to get laid by the hired hand.” He waved her off as if she were no consequence. “Suit yourself. I’m not moving. This is my room, under my name.” He switched the TV to the pay-per-view porn station.
“Wait a second,” Jolie said. “All the reservations were made by my credit card. You haven’t paid me yet.”
“Pay you? Honey, once we’re married it’s all joint property.” He leaned back on the body pillow and raised the volume, filling the room with moans and grunts.

And you have the cringeworthy!
Ken licked the hot lava juices Jolie spewed with volcanic force...

“Kiss me, bride. Ride me, bride. Ride me until we come apart. Let me love you, Jolie, go, go, go,” he urged her until he was fully inside her heated channel. He held her hips, grinding his pubic bone against her clit while bolts of electric pleasure coursed through his body. Moaning low and throaty, she threw her head back and rode, rubbing herself faster, up and down as her tits jiggled and bounced, and her butt cheeks slapped his balls. Looking down, he was treated to the sight of him piercing her bare pussy, over and over again as she rode harder and faster, a fire goddess bent on another volcanic eruption.

Ugh.

My Reviews
I love it and want more!

This is number 2 in the Bad Boys for Hire series, and my first of this series, and author. I do want to read number one now and definitely am looking forward to number 3. I also want to read other titles by this author.

I loved this story. It's so much more than a man rescuing a damsel in distress. Both Ken and Jolie have their own issues in life to work out so that they can move on in love and living. Ken has always been living but hasn’t taken the time to love. Jolie has taken the time to love, but on her terms. She has never truly lived which forces her to inner reflect if she has truly loved.

Ken is the equivalent of Jerry O'Connell from Stand By Me. He was a chubby child that grew up to be a super fit hottie! He took a big header while surfing and while his career is on hold so his head can heal, we moonlights as a Bad Boys for Hire! Yes, it's an escort service, but sex is specifically a no-no and is written into the contract.

Jolie is a bride without a groom! Her intended was caught literally with his pants down the night before the wedding by her bridesmaids, so in an attempt to keep Jolie from looking foolish, Ken is hired to be a stand-in.

Ken recognizes Jolie from their childhood school days and now that he is no longer the pumpkin boy, he wants to see if he can get her to fall for him. Jolie on the other hand has no clue this fit and fabulous man before her is that same little boy that was in her play at school so long ago.

I completely adored Ken's interactions with his sister, Carol, who fell off a mountain while climbing it during a winter storm, and now is in a wheelchair. He was an awesome brother and friend and I look forward to the next book which features Carol in her own HEA!

Chris Abell was excellent in his narration. Both male and female characters were completely believable and it was easy to get lost in the story. He does remind me a bit of Casey Kasem but unless you are in your thirties or older, you probably have no idea whom I'm talking about.

I give this 5 of 5 stars, and recommend it especially as a palate cleanser for in between the heavier, more dark reads.

An entertaining and enjoyable addition to the series. I was really looking forward to this book based on how much I liked the first in the series and while I enjoyed the story I didn't end up liking it as much as the first book. The story just never drew me in completely. I am looking forward to next book in the series about Carole.

It's a sweet, fun, sometimes steamy romance that actually deals with the issue of self esteem and the insecurities we all have at times. Learning to like and accept yourself for who you are.

Some of the lines in this story were just too plain corny and cheesy for me. I think that's where my problem comes in. Even though it's a good story the cheesy/sappy/corny lines threw me out of the story at times.

Ken was likable from the start. He's a "sweetheart of a guy" that would do anything for the woman he loves. His sister Carol is also a great character. Jolie started out likable but she got on my nerves after a while. She was such an uptight and depressing person with all her issues. She does redeem herself in the end though.

Chris Abell does a really good job with the narration. Nice voice that easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. Good character voices. Both male and female. He was able to bring the characters and story to life. Very enjoyable.

This story is so different from the first book, it is steady and romantic and full of wonders and even if things are going on, it is not as full of action as the first one. Does this make the book bad? Of curse not, that its different dont make it bad, it gives it another depth and this story is different and should be different because it has different characters. Jolie is a different person with a different life and I love how OCD she is and how it effects the entire book. It made me laught and also how Ken treats her and wants her to make her happy made my heart melt.

This is a very sweet love story that takes place in Hawaii, at least most of it, and even if it is the typical honeymoon Hawaii, it is perfect for the book and story and is, as I think, it should be. The settings and how they all act is just perfect and the slow and steady phase made me get to know the characters, feel for them and bond with them in a different way then with the characters in the previous book.

I love this story and I can really recommend it, I know that both the shorter version and the longer print version will be awesome and I really recommend people do buy it and read it.

When Jolie's fiancee is caught cheating right before her wedding, her besties do the only thing self-respecting bridesmaids would do... they hogtie him, lock him in a room, and try to hire a Bad Boy to replace him for the ceremony! Surfer Ken is sent for the role, but he arrives too late to play the part. When Jolie decides to take her Hawaiian honeymoon with a friend, Jolie's friends decide to send Ken to Hawaii to intercept her and take her mind off her cheating fiancee.

This is book two in the Bad Boys for Hire series, but it can be read as a standalone. It was a steamy read, and a really funny one. Poor Jolie had more allergies than you can shake a stick at, and that set up some hilarious scenes. Ken was adorable, and both characters had a whole pile of baggage to deal with. The story was still light-hearted despite that, a true vacation read. The setting was amazing, and I had to resist googling flights to Hawaii!

Chris Abell was great as usual, his voice perfectly fit with my image of Ken. He did a great job bringing the story to life. I received a copy of the audiobook, and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.

Bad Boys for Hire...what a fun series this is! Ken is the first of the series that I have listened to, but if it is any indication of the others, I am grabbing them all and giving them a listen! From start to finish, Rachelle Ayala gives you love, passion, angst, and meddling all wrapped up in to a fun filled book. Jolie Becker is left at the alter, and is off on her honeymoon. There she "meets" Ken. Little does she know, he works for Bad Boys for Hire....and what she doesn't know about him can hurt her! Assumptions and the ability not to trust has her testing this man to the limits. Can he pass them? Give it a listen, enjoy the scenes of Hawaii, the banter and heat between Jolie and Ken and their way to each other.

Chris Abell narrates this book with such ease, you daydream yourself right into the story. He has a good array of voices for each character and an infectious enthusiasm that pulls you right in.

What happens when your best friends find out your fiancé is a two timing bum? But they also don't want you left at the alter? This story is just that. Jolie has no clue that he friend and maid of honor is the reason behind the delay then cancellation of your wedding. But Jolie is a planner and she is going to go on the honeymoon that she was planning on going on as a newly wed. So what if the groom is missing she'll make the best of it with her best friend.
Ken was at the right place to be set up to met Jolie on her honeymoon and accompany her on some of the tours.
Will Jolie find out her friends set this up? Or will she's it it off with Ken and forget about the heartache of being left at the alter?

Another awesome book by Rachelle Ayala. I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Jolie is an organized person, she has her life mapped out where she wants to be at certain points in her life. She has her wedding and honey moon planned out. She is always one who follows through on all her plans. When her groom doesn't show up for the wedding. Well he does, but she doesn't know that, thanks to her meddling friends. Her friend Nikki hires a replacement.

Once the replacement shows up the book gets better and better. There are sad parts, funny parts and twists. I found it really hard to put down. I think you will too.

While this is book 2 in the series it could be listened to as a standalone book.

While this is a story of romance it's also more. It's got some fairly deep themes included, especially around self acceptance but is also light and an easy read/listen. It's sweet, sexy and funny.

I like the characters, both Ken and Jolie have interesting points and it's clear that a fair bit of thought went into creating their back stories.

The narration is great, the character voices are really good and it had a nice natural flow to it.

This book was supplied free by the author/narrator/publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Jolie has her quirks... she is very organized and needs to follow her lists to completion, she has more allergies than I could ever imagine a single person having, and she's been left at the alter.

Ken has secretly been hired to fill in for the missing groom on the honeymoon, but there's a complication. Ken has feelings for Jolie, and has since they were in elementary school. How can he go through with the job.

I really enjoyed listening to Jolie and Ken's story. Chris Abel, deliver another wonderful performance.

Jolie was left at the altar. Little did she know, her friends made that happen due to Warren being a cheat. When she decides to go on the honeymoon anyway, her friend "hires" Ken to cheer her up. But when Ken realizes who he is supposed to cheer up, he decides he doesn't want payment. Jolie and Ken have great chemistry. But is it enough? Can they get past all the obstacles they have? This was a great story, and I really loved it!

This was such a fun book. I adored that he was the pumpkin that turned into her prince! A great guy that you just can't help but to fall in love with. It was really touching to see the relationship with his sister too.

Don't want to give anymore of it away but this is touching and fun with a nice dash of heat!

"Honeymoon honey saves the day."

I'm in love with bad boys for hire and Ken does not disappoint. I finished the audiobook in one day because I just couldn't stop. It's a very good story that is sweet and fun. I look forward to another bad boy for hire. I voluntarily reviewed this audiobook after receiving an advanced copy I requested.

Bad boys for hire Ken is a journey that is full of raw emotions and soul searching. Ken and Jolie are two people that will have you questioning some of your own actions and thought process. You will definitely find yourself wanting more.

Again Rachelle Ayala has a very interesting story for you. You just cannot go wrong on reading this series. Pulls you in from the start and even with the cast of characters it is easy to follow along with how everyone adds to the story.

Rachelle Ayala as done it again. I Love this book. A strong sexy man, a jilted bride, and the beach Romance all wrapped up. Secrets can harm a relationship , can Jolie and Ken overcome and have the happily ever after . Can't wait for more.

Ken: Hawaiian Holiday by Rachelle Ayala was a good read. Jolie is left at the altar and her friend D's secretly hired a beach bum to go on her honeymoon with her. Ken helps Jolie bring her confidence back up and they didn't expect to fall in love. I can't wait to read more by Rachelle Ayala.

Love this bad boy for hire series. Not your typical romance to start with but a very nice ending in the end.
