Autumn's life, once that of a bird in a golden cage, has been irrevocably changed once more. The man she loves and hates, infamous crime lord Cage Zisgani, the man who can leave her quivering with a touch, has been arrested. And just how safe is Autumn when the man who has shielded her is caged far from her arms? Will she be able to survive the onslaught of his enemies? Or will she end up as a prisoner, or a casualty of war?
But Cage is not the kind of man to idly sit back and let the world dictate his fate. And woe be to anyone, friend or foe, who gets between him and his woman, Autumn. Because behind his ice-blue eyes, behind his cold demeanor, lies a lethal will and a passion that burns hotter than the sun...
I make no secret that I love my anti hero's and this series def delivers on that! This is the second book in the series and picks up from book one when Cage was sent to prison, this book had plenty of action and Autumn a bit more stronger than before. Cage was more expressive towards Autumn but I am also glad that the authors didn't make him into a sap because that would not fit in to his character of being cold and calculating. I have read all of their books by these authors and actually loved and hated their male leads because they tend to be truly evil in obsessiveness with their female leads. These authors have great imagination and I think with a bit more polish in their writing will really enhance it. I can't wait for next book!

Better then the first one…which is hard to imagine. I read it in one day trapped in the world of Autumn and Cage. The fighting was riveting it had me turning pages quickly to find out how Cage could possibly get out alive. I was proud of myself because I had this itch to cheat and find out who the mole was in the end, but I'm glad I waited. By the end everything was wrapping up and I thought this is it the mole will be revealed. I'm sad that it wasn't but glad that I don't have to end my relationship with those two. The excerpt has me dying to read the next one. You've been warned that this is not the end.
Update: actually not sure if this is unfinished series. This series has two authors. Timothy’s name is not credited in the last and fourth book, so I didn’t see it until I went to Leona’s page. Not a lot of reviews for book 4 which came out in 2023.
Excellent. I think I enjoyed this more than the first book because the action was way too much fun. Not much in terms of their romance developing, however, so if thrilling escapades against all odds aren’t your thing, well I still think you’d enjoy it 😅
Now reflecting on book 1, there was a lot of boring scenes of her classes, but the build-up was good, as their relationship develops, and the mafia war amps up.
I have decided to stop reading at book 2. The story feels complete there. No cliffhanger. I interpret as HEA, as nearly all loose ends and threats are dealt with, except for the identity of the mole but whatever. Not going to read book 3, as a lot of reviews indicate major cliffhanger.
This story is a rollercoaster ride of action, and love scenes. This book have a delightful twist to a mole, that the beautiful mystery. No matter what comes ,or domain,Cage the alpha commanded ignite excitement.
Outstanding!!! A continuous rollercoaster of a thrill ride that I never wanted to end!!
There are not words to describe the enthralling experience of this series.Yes,it is a sexy, dark captive romance on its face yet so much more! I dare say it lacks nothing encompassing the most unforgettable anti hero with an unparalleled action hero whose brilliance as an organized crime head and multitasking businessman and venture capitalist reveal an individual whose skill in virtually every area including that of the sensual arts, appear to be boundless and of of course death defying. And naturally his sexy quotient is off the charts! To choose not to read this would equal the most severe of self deprivation and punishment. So ladies....and gentlemen,be good.boys and girls. And reward yourself with the mother of all visceral experiences...Cage Sisgani!
I am liking this story more and more...what else could Leona and Timothy possible have in store. Well as soon book three comes out I am there.Until then I will occupy my time with reading some more of Leona's other works.
This one picked up where the first one left off. Cage is still in the midst of chaos and trouble while trying to protect his Autumn. This one leaves us with a cliffie again so be warned!
9/14/2023 I am revising my review due to book four in this series. Book four was absolutely unreadable. The number of grammar errors was ridiculous. My rating has gone down to a two star....I feel like I wasted my time and didn't get an ending to a series.
So I decided that I would continue with this series. After book one I wasn't quite sure if I would. But even though this book is still written in the third person, and even though I still didn't quite feel the emotions like I do in most books, there was something different in the way it was written.
There was definitely a lot more action in the second installment of Autumn and Cage's story. Autumn started coming out of her shell more, but still a bit too timid than I like in my h. And it definitely didn't drag like book one did.
And once again, despite the real feel of emotions I just wanted to keep reading, and wanted to see where the story went. Although I still feel like I am on the fence with this series and writing style, it was well written and did live up to the genre it was toted to be. So I am giving this one 4 stars. Let's see what the next book will bring us.
Second book in the Bound series. Cage and Autumn's story continues with Cage in prison and Autumn being moved from one hideout place to another.
After a failed attempt at escaping, Cage is left fighting for his life in prison, being forced into a fighting match against other inmates. Luckily, he's able to formulate a plan and finally escape.
Meanwhile, Autumn and Byron are running for their lives after they've been attacked, and their bodyguards are all dead. They both still manage to stay alive long enough for help to come through.
After Cage and Autumn reunited, the level of craziness was dialled up a notch. They were constantly on the move but then ambushed where once again Cage was showing off his super killing skills. Eventually it all worked out.
I love this series! I love seeing a more redeeming Cage/Urel! Instead of the normal manic and more violent character I liked this side of him. I liked seeing the reason Autumn/Keyoko fell in love with him. It gives more insight into both characters. I would love to see more in this series! Hint, hint, wink, wink!
Cage is back! The modern day Macgyver! This sequel is action packed and filled to the brim with drama!
Cage is setup from the beginning and is sentenced to thirty years in a maximum security prison. What mobster, what head of an organization as powerful as the Zigasi organization will settle for that nonsense? Reading Cage's survival techniques in and out of jail is like watching the Avengers and Transformers combined souped up on adrenaline times a million! Freaking genius!
Things aren't ever easy for sexy Cage. Autumn is still a brat but has clearly evolved a bit in this installment! Those two are a hoot together! Add Poppi in the mix and their drama is on another level!
Five stars because this installment has EVERYTHING! Well except we don't know the identity of the mole.........stay tuned!
I really liked this story line.. At times tho I felt like Cage was a super hero... Some of the predicaments he got himself out of was a wee bit unrealistic but it is a book after all so it all worked.. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series!
I love this series, I love Cage and I think Autumn needs to man up now to be able to stand by his side like she wants. Action packed book from the start, some romance. Can't wait for the next.
I am not sure why I like these type of books but I do. This has a strong alpha male, who loves his woman. Some steamy sex but not much. However, I still enjoy the plot.
