A book that came with "The Ties that Bind " collection. It tells a lot in Springsteen's own words. This is an album about growing up, with all the emotions that entails, happiness, sadness, despair and hope. The first album of his that deals with marriage and commitment, it's considered the final album in the trilogy starting with "Born to Run" and "Darkness on the Edge of Town". We finally find out what happens to the young couple in Thunder Road. Life happens to them like it does for all of us. This book is a great accompaniment to "The River" album.

Mostly photos - some really great shots - part of a bigger collection that houses the reissue of "The River" with the single disc version, the originally released double, outtakes and DVDs offering a doco and live show. A great box-set. This book would have been worthy of stand-alone release as a coffee table type thing with just a bit more text attached.
