The greater Molran superspecies have come a long way since their days of running and hiding from the Damorakind. Well, they still run and hide, but they're better at it now. And they have help from humanity, arguably one of the most bloodthirsty species ever to bite the face of the galaxy.

Together, AstroCorps and the Fleet have been planning a strike against the Cancer in the Core. Planning for a long, long time ... but now their timetable has been accelerated by the appearance of the Hacticos, a mysterious Damorakind splinter-group capable of traversing space at staggering speed and destroying entire worlds in minutes.

MundCorp, the shadowy corporation responsible for supplying the Six Species with artificial gravity technology, has a plan to destroy the mysterious super-ship in a single devastating strike.

The Hacticos are about to meet Big Gravity. And things are about to get heavy.

This is the story of the Astro Tramp 400 and her intrepid, or perhaps hapless crew, and their search for any surviving remnants of the Six Species in the wake of an attack so devastating they're only beginning to comprehend it.

It's also the story of Gortifer "Cap'n Gort" Renn, and his quest to save the galaxy from the mistakes of the past. Where to understand how things end, you must learn about how they began.

This is the story of the Moritania. The story of Aquilar.

This is the story of the Wolf.

ITAL -- What a loss!

I suggest reading this section first. So romantic, and you will enjoy reading it again. Knowing the background adds a lot of feeling.

Each book in the Tale, has been different in the sense of emphasis. This one was easy relaxed reading in the first half, slightly confusing in the middle with a jump backwards in time and the introduction of new characters. There was still the humour and a return to more tension in the closing chapters. I am really looking forward to book 6. What a brilliant story so far and so well told.
