Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.

First off, it disturbs me that Liz's first thoughts when she dumps Jeff and hooks up with Connor on Prom Night, she thinks it's love because she's never "felt like this" with Jeff. Like, you feel happier with a man who never treated you well, cheated on you, and just generally berated you? And stopped talking to you for some time? Okay. Like, I get why she might want to break up with Jeffrey, and I'd find his behaviour/the lie problematic too. However, while Liz says that's why she's breaking up with him, Connor did much worse, and she then goes to him. Like, WTF?
I would've hated the prom thing Trent planned for Tia too. I hate that whole showy thing. It is sweet though.
