The entire Marvel Universe pitted against Onslaught! From Hulk to the Avengers, from Fantastic Four to X-Men, the Marvel U leaves no stone unturned as they face their most dangerous adversary yet!
Mark Waid (born March 21, 1962 in Hueytown, Alabama) is an American comic book writer. He is best known for his eight-year run as writer of the DC Comics' title The Flash, as well as his scripting of the limited series Kingdom Come and Superman: Birthright, and his work on Marvel Comics' Captain America.
Marvel makes the brave step of killing all its heroes but what does this mean for the world at hand? Will they be reborn in the same world or will they form a different reality empty of mutants. Leaving the reality of the x men for endless possibilities, you could pass whatever destruction the war between mutants and mutants and humans easily make the world a living nightmare. Well i ll wait and see but now i am of the mind to read what i have missed of onslaught stories.
No recuerdo este desenlace como una decepción pero sí que se me hacía narrativamente confuso y no me cerraba del todo. Una de estas décadas le debería tocar relectura, junto a todo lo que en su momento acumulé de la saga.
Need to re-read this but when it came out back then I remember loving it and waiting for the next issue while searching every crossover title around the town's comic shops. So, yeah!
I've been reading the Onslaught saga this year, so this is the culmination of a few month's reading. This volume is a pretty good conclusion, even if I don't understand the reasoning behind the plot completely. The art by Adam Kubert is pretty good, and the writing by Lobdell and Waid isn't bad, either. This comic also serves as an intro to the Heroes Reborn event that takes place in Fantastic Four, Avengers, Iron Man, and Captain America Volume 2. The 4 titles were rebooted and this comic explains how they were reset. When I first read the Onslaught story, I wasn't a big fan, but repeat readings have revealed it as a suitable enough crossover. If you forget the implausibility of the creation of Onslaught and just go with it, it's a pretty good read. Some comic book science and a little convoluted continuity that X-Men is famous for create a formidable villain in Onslaught. 3 stars for the Onslaught epic overall, too. My most recent reading of this comic is for a Hulk readthrough, and this does have a bearing on Hulk's continuity, as Banner lives in the Heroes Reborn Universe for a year in real time separate from the Hulk, who continues to live in 616 Marvel, as a result of the events of this issue. Jean Grey turning off the Banner persona seems dubious, but it was necessary for the plot. Adam Kubert would late become the regular artist on Hulk.
Edición española. Especial unitario que cerraba la saga de Onslaught y daba pie para el inminente Heroes Reborn. Creo recordar dónde lo compré, seguramente al PVP.
