Managing Attack Vectors to Disrupt Cyber-Attack Delivery

Rate this book
Attack vectors are the paths used by an attacker to deliver an attack. If an attack cannot be delivered, it fails; therefore, disrupting attack delivery is one way to avert danger. Attack vectors have been largely ignored by defenders but it is an essentuial element that enables the attack and is worth re-examination. The first step is recognizing the commonly used vectors, then developing strategies for denying their use, straight foreward enough, unfortunately digging into strategies revealed missing or ineffective technologies, work needs to be done. Educating users about the issue is just a step on the path to a solution but it is a necessary step. Security vectors deserve to be part of the information security conversation, they have been ignored for much too long.
