After finishing book one I was so ready to jump into this one. This author exceeded my expectations as I ended up reading this in one sitting.
Book one Lies ended in a cliffhanger so make sure you read Lies before Chaos.
My heart broke for Gabby and Joshua. While Gabby is grieving for Joshua he must watch in the background while his loved ones believe he is dead.
This is an action packed roller coaster of a story. I felt myself going through all sorts of emotions from snorting with laughter to fighting back the tears.
Fantastic read. Really hoping we won't be waiting too long for the next book in this series. Loved it.

Chaos is a book to read with a box of tissues. You will not be making dinner, you will not bed doing laundry, you will not be answering the phone. Kids? What kids? All you will be able to do is read this book until the very end.
Chaos starts exactly where Lies ended. I started crying from chapter one and I don't think I ever really stopped. I cried in heartache, in anger and every other reason I can fathom. Such a fabulous book. I read it in 3 hours.

** Josie's Review 4.5 STARS **
Chaos is full of nonstop suspense that will keep you at the edge of your seat from the very page to the last page. My emotions were all over the place with this book. There are so many high and low moments. C. A. Harms has such a unique writing style that there were times I had tears coming out of my eyes and where I was screaming out of frustration. She manages to always write a love story in the middle of a very chaotic setting. So chaotic that you pray everyone involved will walk away unscathed.
Chaos picks up right where Lies ended. Gabriella is reeling from the loss of Josh and now faces the knowledge that she will have to raise their child alone. My heart broke for her. Her love for Joshua never faltered, her pain from his loss was felt on every page I read. The way she talks to him alone in her room at night brought tears to my eyes. With the love and support from her family and friends she finds the strength she needs for her child.
Meanwhile Josh is forced to live his own nightmare. For his safety and that of his loved ones, he is forced to remain “dead” and stay in hiding. Weeks go by and Josh is not doing well living in the shadows, watching Gabriella and only seeing glimpses of her life. You can tell the man lives for this woman. The elation he experiences when his friends gift him with pictures and live video feed of Gabriella is priceless. I know it is only a book, but I couldn’t help feeling how special those moments were or how special Gabriella was to him. Seriously those moments had all the feels!
OKAY, people grab some tissue and some spare underwear because when that reunion happens, it is one heck of an emotional reunion. All is far from ok for this couple, yes they are back in each other arms and welcoming their first child together but the person that wanted Josh dead is still out there waiting and lurking.
C.A. Harms did an amazing job writing this suspenseful and moving love story. Josh and Gabriella will have to fight and protect their love, but with the help of their family and friends they are not alone. HOLY GUAMOCOLE! What a ride this story was. Love that we get some steamy hot scenes amongst the suspenseful and a betrayal so big it knocked the breath right out of me. We get some answers to some of the questions we were left with in Lies but they are some new ones that have risen by the end of this story, which leads to me believe the Chaos just really began.

Gabriella has just had the shock of her life moving the man she left but even more devastating is the news she found out on the day of his funeral.
Josh is alive and going out of his mind. Being away from his family and Gabriella is testing his resolve especially once he receives the best news of his life, even if it couldn't come at a worse time.
Emotions runs strong in this one from the amazing happy highs to the heart stopping lows, you'll definitely need to keep tissues nearby throughout!
Things continue where they left off with Josh in hiding and Gabriella just trying to survive. We see as they try to find the man without a face while continuing their search for Leo and all the while their personal lives become more and more tangled.
You feel like you are a part of these characters as the story unfolds it isn't just their emotions as you're reading the story it feels as though they are yours, that is how realistic and real life they have become. CA Harms is quickly becoming an author that I will drop everything to read, if a new story hits my kindle I am a tortured mess until I can actually turn the front page and get stuck in.
I enjoyed the first book lies, and this picks up straight of the bat, Josh is in hiding and his family and Gabby and mourning that man they lost.
It is killing him slowly to be away from the woman he loves but he knows that coming out of hiding is putting everyone at risk and that is something he is not prepared to risk but a man can only withstand so much and when Gabby’s secrets are unveiled and his life is impacted in a way he had never considered his anxiety is ramped up to a limit that he never thought possible, he has more than love to get back too, he has blood.
I love the way that Gabby and her sisters interact, the family ties that she has formed with Josh’s sister and father. The fact that she is doing everything she can to keep her head high even though her heart is broken.
Josh was just so, Josh I suppose, impatient but passionate. He was determined to get his life back but knew that Frank and Leo stood in his way.
When the mystery surrounding Frank comes to light I was blown away, I actually didn’t see that coming but what about Leo, where is he?
Just how much of a threat is he to them anymore?
Well, I think in the next book we are going to find out!!!
This is a book that I could not put down, nor did I want too, I only hold out hope that the journey I see for them all towards their happy ever afters is the same picture that the author has in her head, because I really, really need this to pan out the way my heart is telling me or I actually think that CA Harms may succeeded in breaking me.

Book 1, LIES, MUST be read prior to CHAOS. This review is completely SPOILER-FREE. Seeing as this is the 2nd installment in a 3-part series, I will keep it short as there’s really not much I can say without spoiling the anticipation.
This was home. I was finally whole. “I love you,” I said as I looked into her eyes. “You are my world, Gabby, my safe place.”
Chaos picks up where LIES ended. After that heart-shattering ending, I craved to read this book. I needed more of Josh and Gabby. I was anxious to know what would happen next! My heart ACHED for Josh. I could not even begin to imagine how frustrating he must have felt being a part from Gabby, knowing what he knew! The danger level was at an all-time high, so he had to protect his family. But could he risk losing Gabby by doing so?
The suspense in this series only got better with this book (and I loved this aspect in book 1)! There were some very angst-driven scenes that had me at the edge of my seat. With some twists and turns thrown into the mix, CHAOS was a true page-turner; a CA Harms masterpiece!!

Can't get enough of this series!

To his family and friends Josh is presumed dead after the case with Leo is compromised and he is kidnapped. On the day of his "funeral" Gabby finds out she's pregnant and slowly begins to tell his friends and family. Since his best friend and partner Greyson knows he's in hiding and still working with him it's not long before josh finds out about the blessing. It only makes him want to find Roman and Leo faster!
While being alone Gabby has had to work with R.J , a very demanding client who gives her the creep. And she has every right to be worried....he's actually Roman who is after the things Josh love.
So after dealing with R.J and shutting that down they are all in for a shock of their life when Josh shows up from the dead.....
Adjusting back to life and staying hidden is proving to be a challenge for Josh. But after damages to his car and pictures with a note show up to his house his worry and need to protect his family kicks up into overdrive. Leo's out for revenge and he has every intentions of getting it.!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, grief, lies, suspense, twists & turns and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Lies (Phoenix Undercover #1)
This is more of Gabriella and Joshua’s story. We were left with a cliffhanger from this first book and this one starts right where the other one left off. Gabriella is grieving and trying to go through life day by day but it’s hard. She is in for even more surprises. Josh is rescued only to not be able to go back home. He must watch life from the side lines as his family and woman believe that he is dead. What happens when Josh thinks it just too much for all of them? With ever twist and turn you wonder if these two will ever get back together. It’s a edge of your seat book that will have you feeling all your emotions. Can’t wait for the next part of this story!
I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

The action and suspense of the story will keep you on the edge of your seat to the end of the book. The chemistry that you can feel the steaming heating up with Gaby and Josh. Life is not perfect so of course relationship are not either. You get to see that they have up and downs in their relationship, but they get past them and it just makes them so much stronger. Waiting to read the next book to see what happens with Josh and Gaby and how things will end. Highly recommend this book and series you will totally enjoy it.

Chaos is gutsy and full of suspense, it will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat, at times biting your nails hoping that Josh and his boys can end the nightmare that's been created.
C A Harms has manage to twist a love story into the Mix of this book and you will hope that Gabriella and her sisters don't become the prey of the big bad wolf.
I loved every page of this book, it left you guessing and shocked at every turn. You wanted Josh to find the bad guys and you yourself thought they were close only to be left hanging and the search continues.
The ending is outstanding and you know there will be another book to follow.
I have been reading C A's book for a while and am amazed at how all her books are magic and leave you wanting more. I gave this book 5 stars.
I hope we don't have to wait long for the next book in the Phenox series.

There are just some stories that deserve more than 5 stars and this is one of them! It deserves at least 10 stars!! If you thought you loved Lies than Chaos will blow you away. There is so much happening and you find yourself pulled into the story. You will feel Gabby's pain and the agents despair. The characters are so multi-dimensional you will love some of them while at the same time hating others. Just wait until you find out who one of the main 'bad guys' is!!!! I still cannot believe it. I love this series and can't wait to find out what Leo has planned and really want to see what happens with Garrett and his new love interest! You NEED to read this book, you won't be sorry!!!!

You need to read Lies (book 1) before starting Chaos.
Once you start reading this you wont be able to stop until its finished, but be warned you will need tissues. I had tears steaming down my face for most of the book, to be honest I'm not sure how I saw the words on my kindle!! What an emotional roller-coaster, thank the lord it doesn't have a huge cliff hanger as I wouldn't be able to cope. Although it does leave you on tender-hooks, I can't wait to see what happens next with Josh & Gabby. And not forgetting her sisters, Brook & Audrey plus the guys Greyson & Mick.

Not What I Was Expecting
Reading this book was like being thrust smack dab in the middle of a movie. Gabby was so real, authentic and likable, I couldn't stop reading her inner thoughts as she struggled with something most women would have broken underneath. As an author myself, I struggle with how to create a strong willed female character without losing the vulnerability that's so needed in a romance story. But babe, you hit it on the nail. I commend you on your ability to make Gabby both fierce and loving, loyal and independent, beautiful and brazen. I can't wait to read more from you.

I loved the first one so much, it went down a few levels, it didn't have to be so short, it has to have a balance, neither too long not to be coiled and repetitive, nor too short to not be too busy.
Certain chapters did not capture my attention, I would say that the first half is much better, but I would already put one less star if the book ended after their sex.
I WAS RIGHT, JOSH WAS ALIVE!! HE IS ALIVE GUYS!!! they’re getting married? What? I can't believe it, I loved it, and honestly, it was quite unexpected, and apparently the wedding will not be smooth because there are people planning a revenge. The third book awaits a lot of drama, and certainly a lot of action.

A great read with a lot of surprises
Chaos was exactly that total chaos! A story filled with twist and turns and never knowing who the bad guy is or what's coming next! I loved the suspense and the love that held Gabby and Josh together! If you like a quick paced, page turner with a leave you wanting more, then this is the book for you! CA Harms at her best with romance, suspense, and a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more!

Chaos!
The title was apt. It was a chaotic mix of mourning, grieving, shock and angst...with a load of sex scenes thrown in.
A continuation of the first book but not as good. Very little action and a weaker follow through. And of course you have to read the next book for the conclusion.
The title was apt. It was a chaotic mix of mourning, grieving, shock and angst...with a load of sex scenes thrown in.
A continuation of the first book but not as good. Very little action and a weaker follow through. And of course you have to read the next book for the conclusion.

The story picks up where Lies let off and I was expecting things to settle down a bit, but they got a lot crazier. This one is even more of a page turner than the first book. This book is also more emotional than Lies and I couldn't put it down. I love these characters, so I was really invested in seeing what comes next for them and the story doesn't disappoint. It was everything I wanted.

This series is so good, I cant begin to describe how much I love it! Super quick read, because you literally can't put it down! The suspense definitely continues in book two, and we get some answers left over from book one. Another suspenseful ending to take you into book three!

I devoured this book because of the cliffhanger in book 1! I grieved for Gabby as she watched and thought he was dead. This is a tissue book for sure...a whole box!
