A short but poignant read. Summers shows the struggles of a woman to face not only her disease but her future. Glimpse Eternity holds your attention and its short length provides a quick exploration into the struggles of life with a chronic illness such as Multiple Sclerosis without the drama of medical jargon.
If you like short fiction and powerful story, Glimpse Eternity is the book for you. Personally, I would’ve liked to see a bit more depth with the characters and believe this short book would make an amazing novel. Many questions go unanswered…her store, her sister, her treatments…I would’ve loved to know more, but in the context of what is written today, I give this book four stars.

Thank you, Ms. Summers. I enjoyed Glimpse Eternity immensely.

Sweet but, rushed and over-wrought. The writing is fine, except that names pop up in dialogue too often to be natural, but emotions are used with blunt force and love comes out of nowhere.

REVIEW: GLIMPSE ETERNITY by Ryan Jo Summers is a short novella that focuses on Kasey Griffin-a single woman with Multiple Sclerosis who is determined to make it on her own. Kasey owns her own business-The Next Chapter-but has moments or days where the struggle and pain are almost unbearable. Enter Ben Salem, a singer, who takes an interest in Kasey and hopes to pursue something for the future. But Kasey isn’t willing to reveal all of her secrets, and keeps her MS a secret from the man with whom she is falling in love.

GLIMPSE ETERNITY is a story of one woman’s struggle against a progressive disease but for all intents and purposes it is a story with very little substance or depth to the characters especially Ben Salem. There is virtually no character development; the world building focuses on Kasey’s personal, physical and emotional struggles; and the romance feels cold and non-committal. I was hoping for a bigger impact but the story line left me with too many unanswered questions and wanting something more from the relationship.

Short and sweet

This was a very short story and a very sweet one. Very easy reading although it was lacking a little in depth.
