They appeared to have the perfect life, but it had turned sour. After Anabelle’s death, the truth of their marriage can no longer be hidden. Years of Malcolm’s carefully constructed lies start unraveling at his feet. Will he be able to pick up the pieces of his shattered life?
Dissonance explores and exposes a violent relationship, infidelity, substance abuse, depression, and lies.
I tend to like books that are fast-paced and hold my attention. This is probably one reason I like children's books so much! Dissonance was a much slower read, but it did hold my attention. It was emotionally heavy - in a good way - and kept me on my toes with little twists and turns. After I was about halfway through I had no idea how it was going to finish, but the ending was beautiful, fitting, and made me smile.
Recommended for readers who like a good drama, and delving into the emotional palette of people.
