This book is an excellent resource for anyone with some background in Biblical Hebrew seeking assistance in reading the Old Testament in its original language.

It provides the Hebrew with the English directly below in a word-for-word translation, and the English again in the margin.

It does not have the Strong's word numbers above each word as Green's Interlinear does, making it slightly more cumbersome to use if your purpose is deep word evaluation, but the Hebrew font is a good deal larger than Green's and much easier to read, making it awesome if you wish to read thru the entire Old Testament in Hebrew.

There are now online sites where you can read this way for free, but this work is worth every penny for those who prefer a bound text they can hold.

While the NIV is one of the least objective of "modern" translations, the interlinear with BHS makes this a beautiful tool for an English speaker and student of Biblical Hebrew to go and view the "original" text.

Just read the NIV Old Testament, not the Interlinear. A Goodreads deficiency.
