All He Wanted Was a Real One
Tracy never thought that he would be the guardian of his two younger sisters, especially a teenager. After his mother dropped them off and never looked back, he pulled his sleeves up and left the streets alone. Trading in his guns for construction boots and a vest, he puts in work at a job to provide for his sisters. Not being able to be home until late, he depends on his sixteen-year-old sister, Traylee to make sure their seven-year-old sister, Stacy is good. When Traylee is busy being a sixteen-year-old, a chain of events causes Tracy to revaluate his life and weather the storm that is being thrown toward his family. Not being one to mess with a chick because, let's be real, in a world full of artificial, he's looking for that real one. When he meets her, will she be as real as he wants her to be?
One call in the middle of the night from a nonchalant caller changes Lavie's entire world. Raising her seventeen-year-old brother and running her veterinary practice, all while making sure her brother's grades are good enough to get into college in the fall, is enough for anybody to be overwhelmed. When she finds out Michael has been up to things he shouldn't have, will she stick by his side? Or will she throw him to the wolves? Having a dark past of her own, Lavie knows what the streets will do to you. The life she and her best friend, Heaven, came from is enough for her to keep her brother sheltered from it. Vowing to take her secrets to the grave, she builds up walls. What happens when one of her secrets comes popping back into her life?
Heaven is in love with Lucus. Lucus is in love with Heaven. Lucus' family isn't in love with his black girlfriend and biracial child. Making him choose between Heaven or his family, Lucus picks Heaven and their daughter, Honor. Coming from wealth and being cut off causes problems with Lucus who is at a job that is barely giving him hours. With a mortgage and slew of bills under their belt, Heaven takes matters into her own hands to make the load lighter. Will this cause issues in their relationship?

Yet, with the mother of his child, Tyra, serving in the Navy overseas, he has no choice but to become the sole provider for his daughter, Nomi. While trying to be single father, run a mechanic shop and maintain a long distance relationship with his secretive girlfriend, he's stretched pretty thin. When his neighbor, Laylani starts coming around, feelings get involved and hearts will get broken.
Will Kas make it work Tyra, while raising their child or will he throw caution in the wind and start something Laylani?

I didn’t hate it...
Okay, the ill feelings I have towards this book are partly my own fault because I didn’t thoroughly look for all parts as I usually do before reading the book. I read the description and thought now this sounds like a damn good book, since I was at work I downloaded and began it. I said all that to say that it sucks that this was actually a teaser because it was a really, really, really great storyline with no part 2 in sight. I looked all over even willing to purchase it from whoever sells it because I was that invested in learning the ending of the story. Well I got to the end of this book and went looking for part 2 and couldn’t find it... that shit had me like...
But I looked again and was like....
Then again and was like...
I looked one final time and was like...
I just felt like...
That’s how good the storyline was. I said storyline because the characters weren’t all that great but the writing was good, they were just so stupid and kept making stupid decisions that had me looking like...
REMIND ME NEVER TO GET A BOOK WITHOUT MAKING SURE ALL THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AGAIN ‼️‼️‼️

when The Shoe is on the other foot!
Three men Kas (Tyra/Laylani)…Tracy (single but diggin Lavie) and Lucas (Heaven)…all just wanted to be loved. Lucus left his family for the love he had with Heaven and their daughter Honor. Kas is a single dad who is waiting for his girl Tyra to come home from the navy and slowly starts feeling Laylani. Tracy’s mom left his baby sisters Traylee and Stacy on him and taking care of them will not be easy but he does. While Traylee who is16yr old gets caught up with Michael (Lavie’s baby brother) , Lavie and Tracy click. Old exes and mama’s come home and their is a lot of explaining to do. Lucus comes into a Windfall!!! He really has a wonderful heart. Part 2 is going to be a serious rumble and I’m ready!!!!!!

This is it
I’ve read quite a few of this authors books and I can say they’re all page turners. This book was definitely a change from the typical hood saga where the drug kingpins and Ryder or die chics reign......the characters were so lifelike and very relatable. It was a change to see the guys with more aspirations than the chics. This is a good motivator for single dads. Thank you for the great story but I was sad and stuck when it ended .......when will you release part 2 😫

Enjoyable
This book was one for history. To see all the leading characters as single men taking care of their kids/siblings. Facing every day struggles mothers face. Tracy is my dude, he is a real stand up guy who loves his family despite the hand God dealt him. As for Kas I tip my hat to him that darn Tyra is no good for him. As for Lavie ughhh. Would love to see what happens in the next installment. Great read.

whoa
Jahquel NEVER disappoints. this one book had so much going on. so many ups and downs. Tracy and the girls’ mom just made me so mad. you left them years ago and now all of a sudden you want to come and uproot them? that’s crazy. i was rooting for Lacie at first, but she made me mad too. I can’t believe the way Lucas’s mom spoke to him and Heaven. Then Kas’s girl pops up pregnant. i can’t wait for part 2.

These Are the Days of Our Lives
Can anyone who claims to be real be real these days! So much deceit. The lies. The disrespect! Such is life. This book got to the heart of men. Lucas's family was so racist and rude. Lavie wouldn't let a man be a man, but didn't have herself together. I'd recommend this book to anyone. So good!

This was an interesting read, the characters were easy to follow along with and it held just enough drama to hold you to read on. The ending was good and makes you want to read the next one.

I liked how Lucas stood stood up to his disrespectful family. Lucas, Kas, and Tracy are great fathers. These men are going through it but doing the best they can. I can't wait for part 2.

This was a great start to this series. I loved the storyline. This story was both refreshing and realistic. Tracy, Lucas and Kaz were three guys doing the best they could while struggling to take care of their loved ones. Man, it seemed like Tracy couldn't catch a break. Traylee was taking him through it. I was really happy when he and Lavie finally stopped being mean to each other and started a relationship. But, she had to go and screw that all the way up. Oh well, I guess she's about catch hell now. As far as Tracy, I'm hoping he's finally able to catch a break. Lucas, man you have to give him credit. He stood up to his family and chose his girlfriend, Heaven, and his baby girl over his family's wealth. He's as real as you can get. Even after Heaven made that stupid decision and took matters into her own hands, he still stayed. I hope with this new opportunity, he can make a better life for his family. Kaz, I have know idea what the hell is going on with this dude. He just got himself into a lot of mess. Tyra's back now and it looks like she's been a little busy while overseas. I'm anxious to see how he's going to handle this situation with Laylani. She seems like such a sweetheart. I hope he doesn't kick her to the curb for Tyra's sneaky ass. I have a feeling Tyra is about to drop a bomb on him though. So many questions left to be answered and I can't wait to find out.

A Different Tale
Not to often you read a story where the men are winning. This one here actually portrays the men as the providers and I enjoyed reading it. I really love the character Kas. His relationship with his baby girl is so refreshing. Tracy also he has to deal with the struggle of raising 16 year old. Thing really take a turn when she decide to become an "adult" or at least act like one. This story deals with so many obstacles and betrayal but for once it's not the men. The editing could use some work because it's a real good book.

Excellent Storylines
This authors visions were seen thoroughly throughout this book. I enjoyed that this wasn't a typical drug dealer looking for love. The Th characters were crazy interesting and very diverse. I also enjoyed that there wasn't to much drama and it still captured my attention. I was intrigued to know the real behind the scenes secrets. As the book was coming to the end all the suspense was killing me. I. So ready for part 2!!

A different kind of read but it will hold ya attention. Salute to Tracy,Lucas and Kas. Crazy way these 3 guys linked up but it turned out for the best. I really enjoyed reading this book. It discussed all the topics we go through in life and the choices we make. Tracy was a character all by himself with the things he said out his mouth. I had a good laugh every time his storyline came up. Lucus was an honorable man for what he did for Kas and Tracy. That ending was a WTH moment. Tyra has some nerve.

I need part 2
