As always Chiah Wilder gives us a kickass biker story that only serves to get your blood pumping and craving for more.
Ofcourse we can all guess that the name is synonymous with Axe falling in love, and boy do I love a tough and rough biker falling head over heels. But what I loved even more, was that Axe continued to be the epitome of the Alpha male. When you think animal kingdom, think of Axe.
Axe is a brother in the Insurgents MC. He's accustomed to easy women-club whores, hang arounds- and he generally likes no strings attached sex. But a one night stand at his friend's wedding out of state, brings him to his knees.
Baylee is on the fast track to becoming partner at her Architectural firm. Forsaking a personal life in order to pursue her dreams. Baylee yearns for that touch of intimacy. Especially, because of her more erotically dark side in the bedroom.
Returning to their lives, Axe and Baylee both can't stop thinking about the other. Baylee tries to convince herself to say focuses, while Axe has unconsciously given up sex with any other woman since Baylee. Not knowing each other except intimately, they both crave the other's touch.
When Baylee finds herself working in Pinewood Springs, as the employee of non other than Axe's MC, she can't help but wonder what if. But, knowing that her firm has been contracted to work for the MC, Baylee must remain professional and keep her mind in the game.
On the horizon of work and play, Baylee's past comes knocking. At the age of eight, Baylee witnessed her mother's murder. But Axe being Axe, he continues to go all alpha male on Baylee and anyone else that comes close. The sex was off the charts erotic, with some kink and a whole lot of alpha maleness. Yum!!
As the mystery surrounding Mrs.Peters murder becomes stalkingly clearer, Baylee finds herself grasping to remain safe. Scared and constantly looking over her shoulder, Baylee needs to put this to rest, unless she is willing to loose her life.
Chicah Wilder has given us a strong and ambitious heroin, with a heart of gold. Baylee is such a sweetheart, that you can't help but urge her onwards. And Axe, swoon, this man can rough me up anytime. He infuriated me, made me giddy with carnal excitement and made me want to knock sense into at times. But all that tarzan vibes he gave off, made me feel loved.

I am a huge fan of the Insurgents MC Series and couldn't wait to read Axe's story. I loved that Bay just blew him out of the water. Known for being the one and done guy, he had no idea that she would rock his world after one night together. She loved being with him, but they live so far away that she resigns herself to him just being a memory. Until she gets an assignment that brings them back together and puts her in danger. I really loved these two together and can't wait to read more in the series.

Axe’s Fall was the third book in the Insurgents MC series by Chiah Wilder. Although they all connect, it can be read as a stand-alone.
I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for awhile, but following are a couple quick thoughts: I enjoyed the suspenseful part of the plot - although I would have liked a deeper dive with more depth and detail. I also enjoyed the characters (Axe and Bailey) as a whole but Axe was a dick and Bailey could be cold so I wanted more warmth between them as the storyline progressed. All in all, I enjoyed it and it was a quick, suspenseful and entertaining read.

I think Axe was my favorite one yet! Loved the 2 MCs together - they had a ton of really hot chemistry. The storyline was awesome. Fast paced with tons of action and twists and turns. Totally eating this series up! So glad I decided to stick with the series ❤

In book four of the series we meet Axe and Baylee. I just couldn't get into this one. I found it implausible the way they meet. Axe and Baylee both came off as very immature. There was no way Baylee would be up for a partnership at such a young age, and little experience, not to mention she seemed childish at times. Axe like the rest of they guys come off as one dimensional, it's all about sex always. I beginning to think it's better to be one of the club girls than an old lady. Let's face it, the guys are always at the club with the club girls having fun, old ladies can't hang out there, the old lady's aren't allowed to go the parties, but the club girls do, and they don't have to cook, the old ladies do it. The guys rave about the sexual attributes of the club girls and they swim in attention. Club girls and old ladies both have protection of the club. Heck, in this book I found out the old ladies can't go on some of the poker runs. Again, why be an old lady just to get the scraps of attention left over, your guy coming home when he's done with Club Business(cough)? That is the feel of the books. There is simply too much attention put on the club girls in these books, it makes them too important to the story and they shouldn't be.
I did find it incredibly wonderful that the guys do babysit the children so the women can cook all the food for the club parties for the guys and club girls that they aren't invited to(eyeroll). And Axe's attitude, it was at times awful. And telling her she would have to get used to seeing the women he had past sex with when she saw him laughing and talking to them...No way, what a jerk!
But again, the club girls come out on top, the old lady can't tell one of the club members who he can talk to and who he can't, just get used to it. But the old ladies don't get to talk to men from their past. Again, these are boy's not men.
I didn't feel the chemistry here, the plot was okay, I was bored a lot through the book. I'm going to keep reading, I am hoping to finally read about a woman who tells these guys to take a hike, and mean it! So far, all we have gotten is women who let these guys walk all over them. I'm still holding out hope.

Although this is the fourth book in the Insurgents MC, each book can be read as standalones. This is my first read of this series and I found it easy to drop into and understand the feel of the MC.
Axe and Baylee meet at a wedding and hook up for a one night stand with no intentions to stay in touch, but then when her job takes her to Pinewood Springs and she comes face to face with the sexy one nighter who she has been unable to get out of her head. Little does she know it was the same for Axe.
Although Baylee tries to stay professional on overseeing the new construction for the MC, she can’t ignore Axe for long and even though Axe starts to get all alpha and controlling on her, she finds him all too irresistible to continue to fight his intentions. However there is danger on the horizon and Baylee finds herself being stalked by the past. Who is out to kill her?
This was a quick and sexy read with the element of suspense thrown in, which at times I found a little hard to believe but it made for a balanced read of sexiness, grit and suspense.
The characters were likable and easy to grasp the chemistry between them. I also liked the secondary characters of the MC, so would be good to go back and read the other books in the series.

When the man tramp falls, he falls hard. I really enjoyed the story of Axe and Baylee. It was very sexy, which I've come to expect from this author with a few twists. I love a great MC read and I love a great mystery. This has both. I recommend this book and this series.

I'm one of the few that walked into the Insurgents MC series at book 4, I haven't read the previous books in this series as this one can be read as a standalone but after reading it I went back for the other three, if they are anything like Axe's Fall I'm sure I'll love them.
This is Axe and Baylee's story.
She doesn't have time for a relationship while she's trying to build her career, figures there will be time for boyfriends once she makes partner.
But every girl has needs.
Needs she hopes to fulfill with a sexy stranger at her friends wedding.
Axe didn't want to dress up, certainly didn't want to attend a wedding but he's there, now all he hopes for is a sexy little thing to keep him company for the night.
He's the hit it an quit it guy, one night only an no repeats.
He finds Baylee.
She's perfect, exactly what he's looking for an when the words no names, one night only roll off her tongue he's in heaven.
A week later Axe is back at the clubhouse but can't get his one night stand off his mind. He doesn't have any interest in the club girls or anyone else, he keeps picturing the strangers face.

This is one of my favorite MC series to read and I have been waiting for Axe's story! Axe is the quintessential playboy and by that I mean he is a man whore who doesn't sleep with the same woman twice and always seems to have a woman (or two or three or more) warming his bed each night. However when he meets and hooks up with Baylee at a wedding he can't seem to get her out of his mind. However they both go about their lives and then they meet again when Baylee comes to town for work.
I have to say that this was one was so great! I loved how Axe had to work for Baylee's attention which simply horrified him! I'm sure he never had to work so hard for a chic in his life! The brothers in the MC give him such a hard time which is so great and the jealousy thing looks good on him. However when the time comes for him to protect Baylee he steps right up. One of the things that I really enjoy about this series and about Chiah Wilder is how different she writes each book. When you have an MC series sometimes it gets hard to give each book it's own feel but she accomplishes that beautifully. This one had such a light, playful feel even though there are things that happen. Axe is very light and playful for the most part and it shows in this book. As opposed to say the heaviness of Jax's Dilemma which that particular book needed. As always superb writing and character development. I can't wait to see what the guys get up to next!

It's a MUST READ 2 person POV suspense romance with a MC. It might have a MC in it but it was more on the romance side of things and not so much the hard core MC type things. It was a nice change of pace even if their was some bad guys, love, and loads and loads of passion. I did feel like I was waiting for something more to happen it just seemed like something was missing almost the whole story, the mystery of it was not lost on me and really kept me turning the pages trying to figure out the missing piece. Once you reach the middle of the story it becomes really hard to put down you want nothing more then to reach what is hopefully the happy end (now see I know how it ends I'll just keep that to myself). This is one story you don't want to miss I rather enjoyed the slow pace and the flow. I also know that this will not be my last time reading this authors work she just has a really great way of making this romance story a mystery, edge of your seat read. So totally worth every word and page turn. I give this a 4star as I just felt something was missing the whole time and I can't really place what that is, maybe at first it's really hard to get into but once you get past the first few chapters it really get's good. Maybe it's the lack of details of Baylee's demons that take to long to surface or the fact it takes a long time to figure out something bad is going to happen. Otherwise really great story and I wanted more when it ended. Right where it ended was amazing and leaves you with wanting more and more, the craving is really something for these characters.

4.5 Excellent Stars
I've been wanting to read Axe's story since I finished Chas's Fervor and it was worth the wait. While this is part of a series, all the books can be read as standalones. Axe is a guy that likes to get in and get out so to speak and doesn't do relationships or more than one time with any woman. Baylee is on the fast track to partnering at her architectural firm and like Axe doesn't have time for relationships. So when she's planning to attend a friend's wedding she goes into the evening thinking if she finds someone she's attracted to, why not have a one-night stand?
However, neither Axe nor Baylee expected to meet their match in that department! And when they got together for that one-night an impression was made by both of them because neither one of them could forget that oh so dirty talking, sexy orgasmic night together!
Fast forward a few weeks and they meet again when Baylee is sent to work on a project and who shows up across the table from her? Yep Axe! I loved how these two couldn't keep their hands off each other. It was like they were long lost lovers with the way they went at each other. And what a dirty talker Axe is. SO sexy! I had to cool myself down a few times while reading this one...
Overall, I loved this book. It was a quick and sexy read and I can't wait for the next book in this series.
I've been wanting to read Axe's story since I finished Chas's Fervor and it was worth the wait. While this is part of a series, all the books can be read as standalones. Axe is a guy that likes to get in and get out so to speak and doesn't do relationships or more than one time with any woman. Baylee is on the fast track to partnering at her architectural firm and like Axe doesn't have time for relationships. So when she's planning to attend a friend's wedding she goes into the evening thinking if she finds someone she's attracted to, why not have a one-night stand?
However, neither Axe nor Baylee expected to meet their match in that department! And when they got together for that one-night an impression was made by both of them because neither one of them could forget that oh so dirty talking, sexy orgasmic night together!
Fast forward a few weeks and they meet again when Baylee is sent to work on a project and who shows up across the table from her? Yep Axe! I loved how these two couldn't keep their hands off each other. It was like they were long lost lovers with the way they went at each other. And what a dirty talker Axe is. SO sexy! I had to cool myself down a few times while reading this one...
Overall, I loved this book. It was a quick and sexy read and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

I'll admit I was not the biggest fan of the first book in the Insurgent MC series. Cara was way to wishy washy with her feelings for Hawk IMO. And the second book was just so-so for me. But the author really turned it around for me with the last two books. Axe and Baylee were a great couple. I loved how Axe dealt with his feelings for Baylee and how Baylee realized she could count on Axe to have her back. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

Ehhhh, Ax is an arrogant pr**k and turned me off from the get-go. I just couldn't rally behind him no matter how I tried....sorry. Great cover, though!

Best book so far in a great series
I'm a committed MC series reader. Insurgents by Chiah Wilder is in my top 3 series at this point. Axe's Fall is my fav so far in the series.
Book boyfriends don't come better than Axe. He is off-the-charts good-looking and charming. By turns he is alpha, thoughtful, sensitive, and oh-so-creative 😉.
I really related to Baylee. She strikes a good balance between asserting herself and understanding that compromise is part of a loving relationship. She is upbeat and good-natured. She works at keeping the relationship spicy.
Both Axe and Baylee are original, complex characters, not stereotypes. There is a LOT of steam in this book and Wilder brings it! There is also drama, mystery, and fun. Lots of fun. The various locations described are gorgeous. In addition to the rough world of the MC, there are beautiful hotel suites, wonderful restaurants, flower deliveries, and pretty clothes. It's an ultimate romance.

I really liked this book, it didn't have the usual I like you one minute and hate you the next kinda trope.
Baylee and Axe have a one-night stand when they attend their friends wedding, they don't exchange names, numbers or any personal information.
When Axe goes to the architecture meeting for the strip mall that his club is having built he comes face to face with Ms. Baylee Peters.
There is a lot of chemistry between the two of them, once they start seeing each other Baylee starts feeling someone watching her. She thinks her mother's killer is out to finish the job he got interrupted on seventeen years earlier.
I really like how the characters were portrayed in this novel, I just wished we could've found out what happened to one of the characters.

Enjoyable read, I personally would like a little more of the details for the building and planning, not have it all skipped over while the texting and smouldering looks thing goes on throughout. To much sex can be a bit boring in the end. The same with the villains and investigation we don't really get any of it until after it's all over, so the big suspenseful build up to the climax falls a bit flat. I loved the characters but in the end the sex was just a bit to over powering to the rest of the story, although Axe was at the clubhouse with the guys even Church was sort of a let down. I'm not a prude and love a bit of hot and steamy any day but balance by making more of the plot and details.

I think the background story was good but I didnt like Axe's attitude he was overbearing a jerk and when Bailey would stand up to him he would fire back that she better not talk to him that way then she would back off and sometimes think she needed to apologize. This went on constantly "WASH, RINSE, REPEAT" There was way too much sex that took away from the story and I found myself skimming through it to get to the story. It felt like it was a filler for the book. I didn't care for both characters there was no slow burn leading up to it. Not sure if I'm gonna read anymore on this series . I love Chiah Wilder books but this one didnt do it for me

I really enjoyed this! Axe (H) and Baylee (h) had a very hot one night stand with no names, no info. They couldn't forget each other even after a few weeks and Axe was actually celibate and wasn't intimate with anyone else because he couldn't stop thinking about Baylee and he reached out to his friend to get her info.
I also liked that Baylee was made partner in her firm, she didn't give up her career dream. She made certain compromises sure by moving to Axe's town but she retained her position in the office.
