They were best friends long before they were rich and famous, and nothing could come between them. Or so they thought ...
Gabriel and Hayden were childhood best friends who worked together for everything they got. Just before their bands hit it big, though, Hayden started to act strange and then disappeared for over a year, leaving Gabriel to wonder what exactly had happened to their friendship.
An opportunity for reconciliation finally came when the two of them had a chance to go on tour with each other and their bands. At first, it seemed like nothing has changed The two fell into the same patterns they've always had.
Until stuff starts getting weird. Until they don't seem to be able to keep their hands off of each other for more than a few seconds at a time. Which makes sense for Hayden, but for Gabriel, who has always thought he was completely heterosexual, the truth about his growing attraction for Hayden and his changing emotions is hard to take,
Neither of them had much time to sort all of this out. Hayden disappeared again, and this time, it's up to Gabriel to find him... if he can.
Lines Never Crossed is a first time gay bdsm rockstar romance with explicit sex scenes. It has no cliffhangers and is a standalone with a hea.
I tried very hard to like this book, it had all the elements I enjoy in a good M/M. Unfortunately, I was left feeling flustered. Too many little errors added up to paint an overall picture that was just disappointing. The writing needs work, I understand it's my own personal pet peeve but long paragraphs made up of small sentences is just a no-go for me. Typos. Repetitive statements, and I do mean repetitive. Not only were the statements repetitive, half the time they were contradictory. I never built any real connection to the characters, and aside from the sex this could honestly read like a YA book with all the angst and hot/cold drama. The twist towards the end was unnecessary as there was poor lead up to it, making it feel rushed and out of place as if it was a complete afterthought.
Now all that being said, if this was edited and read smoother, a lot more, I would without a doubt give it another chance. All the elements are there, but the execution was totally lacking.
The action and romance starts from chapter 1 to the final chapter. The love scenes were awesome and then with the intrigue of kidnapping, a romantic rescue makes this book a keeper.
