Six years ago, Midge Knightly walked away from her trust fund, her Hollywood producer father, and the expectation that she would join the family business. Avoiding handsome playboys with hidden agendas was just an added bonus. Now one semester shy of graduation, she is shocked to discover her scholarship has lost its funding.

Her estranged father is having problems of his own. A contestant on his latest reality TV series has cancelled two months before shooting.

His solution?

Midge gets her trust fund back if she stands in as a potential marriage candidate for the dating series Marry Your Billionaire. Twenty women competing for one arrogant guy. Not Midge's cup of tea. Agreeing to this proposition sucks her back into the world she happily broke ties from, but no trust fund equals no college degree.

Brody Prescott, CEO and owner of an online dating company, has recently been pegged as a heartless playboy-among other things-by a disgruntled female after a disappointing date.

His solution?

Become the first bachelor on Marry Your Billionaire and hope that one of the contestants holds some potential. So what is he supposed to do when the woman who intrigues him the most wants to be eliminated?

Marry Your Billionaire is a fun, romantic romp set against the backdrop of reality TV. Throw on your PJ's, grab some chocolate and popcorn, and settle in for an entertaining love story.

In Marry your Billionaire, a Billionaire that has never planned on marrying before due to his misadventure with a gold digger, has been offered an opportunity to star in a reality show called Marry Your Millionaire. He is struggling about whether he should agree or not when he is overheard by Midge. Midge has been burned by the reality TV bug ever since her father began directing them and putting the shows ahead of her.

When she butts into Brody's conversation at the coffee shop, he is intrigued by her open and honest opinions. He plans on telling the Network to forget it. Until an unexpected event occurs in the room next to the conference room.

Now he has agreed and he has decisions to make about his future. This is a delight. The characters are sensitive and charming. When Midge is being stalked or threatened she tries to keep anyone from finding out in order to keep problems from occurring.

There are people that are not as they appear and through it all, Brody is seeking to find the woman of his heart's desire. The one woman he wants to be serious about.

Each chapter takes you to a new place and shows you the generosity, kindness, and honesty people have hiding behind wealth and privilege.

Wonderfully written with characters that you truly can care about. I found myself a little nervous with some of the situations because I wanted the happily ever after.

I want to meet more characters that C.J. Anaya has in mind. This was a terrific way to be introduced to her works.

3.5 long stars.

I loved the characters!! they spoke to me. They had fun personalities.
Brody was a perfect book boyfriend. Sexy, persistent, charming, tentative and a total catch.

Corbin and Lisa are a great addition to the book!!

Midge on the other hand.... annoyed me most of the time. I liked her at the very end.

Book provided by author in exchange for review.

I gave myself 3 days to read this book. I usually finish before that. But just in case I needed the extra day. I liked the writing style but I do think it was too long. I lost interest many times when reading this book. And it took me many days to read.

I loved the reality tv idea! It was fun and entertaining. There was plenty of crazy, psycho, fun, nice girls in the show.
And overall I loved the happy ending!! :)

Cheese and Crackers & Sweet Maple Syrup! I loved this book. Laugh out loud funny, I did nothing today but get lost in the pages of this book.
Yes "The Bachelor" story-line has been done before but this version was hilarious. Super fun story and great characters.
This is a 400 page book which I almost skipped it due to it's length, so glad I didn't because I ended up loving this one.

Content: mild language and passionate kissing but otherwise clean

Cute!

This is my first book by Ms. Anaya and I can safely say she's been added to my "authors to watch" list. I thought this was a fun book, I liked the characters and always enjoy the reality tv trope.

Midge was raised in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, her father being a successful movie and tv producer and her mother an actress. Getting fed-up with the lifestyle, she decides to break from her dad and go to college to pursue her own dreams of becoming a write. When her scholarship is cancelled, she is forced to accept her dad's proposition of joining his new reality dating show in exchange for her trust fund. Brody Prescott is a self-made billionaire and has found that the women he dates only want him for his money. After a scandal damages his reputation he decides to become the next bachelor on Marry Your Billionaire. Midge and Brody have great chemistry, I loved the scenes were they're together. I liked that they're the main focus of the story and that their relationship doesn't pan out how I thought it would. I wasn't expecting the drama and suspense, but was glad it was there to help keep things interesting.

Just a couple quibbles:

Overall, I really liked this one. The quibbles I had didn't prevent me from enjoying the book and I probably shouldn't even mention them since they probably wouldn't bother others. I liked Midge, Brody and the supporting characters. The settings were fun, especially Hawaii where I'll be moving in a couple months. It was a fun read! I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance.

Content
Romance: Clean, lots of kissing. :)
Language: Mild
Violence: Mild
Religious: None

Well, Michelle...

It was fun, for the most part. A blatant Bachelor rip-off that ups the ante with a billionaire bachelor instead of some lame pilot or something and simultaneously hits all the wish fulfillment factors by forcing the "any girl" on the show to immediately be fallen in love with. Because, of course, you don't want a heroine who would actually go on that show, just like you or I wouldn't actually go, but at the same time...
Who doesn't watch The Bachelor and fantasize what it would be like with normal people?
Not that our heroine is normal. She grew up jet-setting around the world and speaks Italian and maybe Portuguese. But she has freckles so that makes her relatable.

Honestly, this was a fluffy, enjoyable book. But two things...did bug me.

1. The hero. Just because the hero acknowledges that he is behaving like a caveman when he forcibly kisses the girl he likes does not make it okay. Self-awareness alone cannot save him. But he does try and change so I give him credit for that. So maybe the problem is really more, the romance. Because while the heroine might protest, the reader, privy to all her inner thoughts, knows she doesn't really mind. And the hero sees she doesn't "really" mind (he just knows) and keeps pushing it. And pushing it and pushing it. And it drove me wild. Less kissing, more respecting boundaries, people.

2. All the freakin' misunderstandings. I can ignore the over-the-top villain. I can ignore the implausible antics of the main couple and convenient plot contrivances that keep them running into one another. But the misunderstandings drove me crazy. From the hero going "I'm here on this show for you I'm here one this show for you I'm here on this show for you I'm here on this show for you" on and off camera and the heroine responding, "Well, he's not here for me" to the final, stupid break at the end, I just kept rolling my eyes. These people have BRAINS. Probably. We're told they have brains. She is getting a Master's degree. He somehow built up a billion dollar company. And yet they can't communicate?

Thanks for the recommendation, Michelle ;)

OH, EDIT. I also want to know what kind of glasses the heroine wears because the hero keeps complaining he can't "see her freckles" when she wears them. To the point where he rudely takes them from her at every turn and even breaks her glasses. Which the reader knows is okay because they aren't prescription, but he doesn't know that. So why the major ass move? Glasses are not a mask. You can see freckles on people who wear them! Major head scratcher there.

It is safe to say I did not expect that.

I have quite a lot to say about this one (at least, it feels that way but I may be able to condense it down) and I’m not quite sure where to start. The beginning is always a good place, yet I’m not sure whether chronology will stay with this review. Well shall see…

It all started when I saw a Goodreads giveaway for the author’s Healer series. It grabbed my attention and I jumped right in. Upon reading more, however, I found out I could get my hands on the first in the series and a short story if I headed over to the author’s website. There I found she was looking for people to join her advance readers list. Did I consider it silly to join prior to reading any of her work? Well, for a moment I did question my sanity – but in the end the bibliomania overpowered everything else and I signed up. You do not have to read the book – we’re asked if we’re interested – and if things did not appeal to me I wouldn’t have to force myself through the story.

It turns out that the first email I received regarding her next release did grab my attention. I was holidaying in Iceland at the time, but I gladly sent a message informing the author I would be happy to give Marry Your Billionaire a try. I’m not the biggest lover of romance novels, but this one seemed fun. Adding a lot of fun to romance books leaves me more inclined to read them. Thus, upon my return to Scotland I started reading Marry Your Millionaire.

I was pulled in from page one.

I did my usual trick of starting a new book at stupid o’clock in the morning. Due to this, I did not finish the book in the one sitting I wished to finish it in. After lectures the next morning I picked up my Kindle and planned to finish it before my afternoon sessions in the lab started. Unfortunately, my Kindle decided such was not meant to be – in other words, my Kindle drained of power and died just before I reached the end. Heading off to class, I was on the edge of my seat to find out what happened next. Needless to say, information regarding the experiment I’m to be conducting this semester didn’t sink in as far as it should have. Never mind, though, upon finishing in the lab I headed straight home to finish the story.

And finish it I did!

It’s a wonderfully crafted novel, pulling you into the story as you follow the characters along for the journey. There is laughter. There is annoyance. There is a wide range of emotions to be experienced. If you’re looking for a static read (although I’m not sure why you would want such a thing) this is not the book for you, as things are constantly moving and you’re dragged along whether you want to be or not. At first I did not expect to be pulled in so deep. Yes, I was interested from the start, yet I did not feel as though I would be sucked in so deep. Once the story got going, however, I found myself wanting certain things for the characters, holding my breath as things twisted out of control.

Moreover, as we work our way through the book things move away from being focused merely upon the romance. We have a bit of a mystery as well. Nothing major – as a devout mystery reader this was mere child’s play for me – but it adds so much to the story. It gives it that something more. It stops it from being just like every other romance book you find on the market whereby girl meets boy and they fall in love. This one makes the characters work for it, throwing in pitfalls throughout.

I will say, however, that I did expect slightly more when it came to the reality show aspect. I felt as though it took them a while to actually start the show. Then, when the show began, I would have liked to see more challenges thrown at them as competitors. I’m not a big lover of reality television – it’s all very yawn from my point of view – yet I love when it is used within books and movies. Hell, my all-time favourite use of reality television is when Channel Four made the mini-series Dead Set in which a reality television show is overrun by zombies. The fact that such a thing is my favourite use of reality television should really explain my views in full to you. Back to the book, though, it was a fun thing to read. It wasn’t as much as I had thought it would be, but it was mighty interesting regardless.

Although, I think my biggest qualm with the book was the instalove. Instalust I can understand yet instalove is too much for me to handle. As a firm believer in love at first sight being nothing more than a literary device, I hate seeing it. I like to see people falling for each other. I like to see when the moment hits them, that moment when they realise just how they feel about the other. Whilst we do see development in the relationship between the two main characters, the fact there was love from the start ruined it somewhat for me.

Overall, it was a wonderful read and I’ll certainly be reading more by the author (starting with the two freebies I have nabbed from her website, and hopefully by that point I’ll have another advance read to start - a girl can hope).

The author provided a copy of the ePub in exchange for an honest review.

Midge Knightly is the only daughter of a famous Hollywood producer. She is a determined to carve her own path and she is not interested in the comfort of her trust fund life. Prior to her last semester of university Midge is told that her scholarship has been rescinded. Reluctantly, Midge agrees to participate in her father’s reality show in order to finance her university tuition.

Billionaire Brody Prescott is not keen on participating as the bachelor billionaire on Midge’s father’s show. He needs the show to ensure that he has an opportunity to brand himself as a good guy after he experienced bad publicity. You can judge a man by the way in which he treats his mother. Well, Brody is a positive role model for all sons. Hopefully, Midge and the audience will see the true Brody.

Marry Your Millionaire is a fun filled romance. The reader gets to know Midge and Brody via their actions, their voices and their history. Their distinct and strong personalities are layered with humour as well. The events of the reality show drive the story making it a true page-turner. This quick read has many shocking and unexpected twists and turns.

C. J. Anaya’s contemporary romance Marry Your Billionaire is a delightful read.

I received an Arc copy for an honest review and it honestly earned each star I have given it! The storyline presents to you not only a romance, but comedy and some mystery suspense to boot.

Our heroine Midge ( Madlyn) Knightiy is the daughter of a successful Hollywood producer/ director and Hollywood actress. Midge chose to leave behind all of that including her trust fund to persue a college degree as an English major since she wishes to be an author, but her life has just gotten a little more complicated, Midge just recently lost her scholarship and her father who she has not seen in six years has summoned her to his office. However before she goes to see him a trip to her favorite Cafe is in order , but her day takes another turn when her favorite table is occupied by none other than Billionaire playboy Brody Prescott, Ceo of the number one dating site and recently accused of data mining it for his own purposes, accused by a former girlfriend.Broddy is at the cafe discussing being on a reality for TV show in order to improve his public image, the show is called To Marry a Billionaire; Midge can not help but to put her two cents into the conversation thus engaging Brody's interest , for the first time in a long time.

Later at her father's office she finds herself being drawn into the very same TV show unaware that Brody is about to be the first Bachelor, but Brody is in the other room and conveniently now knows who the red head who caught his interest is; game on, Brody is all in now even if it is just to get more time with the incomparable Midge!
Midges father is willing to give her back her trust fund which he knows she needs if she will fill in for a contestant who has dropped out.
What ensues is a game of cat and mouse,Brody being the big or Tom cat and Midge being the little mouse that he chases through the filming of this game show , much to the dislike of the other nineteen women, one of who is willing to elk ate the competition by whatever means necessary!
What ensues through the rest of the story had me laughing, had me close to tears and at points early in trying to figure out who the hidden culprit is, such a great read. Do not miss out on this one!
My thanks to Ms Anaya for the arc and the pleasure of this read!

I was so excited to finally get to this book in my reading schedule! I've been waiting with anticipation to read it and it seems like lots my friends on Goodreads and around the blogging world are reading it. Before me! But I'm hearing good things about it so that's awesome.

First I have to say that this book is long! Like a double book, really. Be prepared to settle in for a good, long romantic adventure. Not an escape. An epic romantic adventure. :)

I have to say that Brody completely stole the show for me. He was so consistent from beginning to end. He set his sights on Midge and he never waivered. His words and actions had MY toes curling and I loved how he never missed an opportunity to kiss that girl. Even after he gets slapped. Ha!

The chemistry is sizzling in this book. Sparks are flying all over all the time. But, I love how it's a little more than that. There's a little mystery and suspense along with some of the classic misunderstanding and family issues. Things weren't always what they seemed.

This book was fun and entertaining. Definitely not a book to be taken too seriously. The whole reality TV dating stuff has been done and redone but if you enjoy that- don't miss this one. It will make you smile.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review.

The first thing that came to my mind after reading this book was “Did I just read a book or watched a movie?” It had so much action and drama that I really found hard to draw a distinction. I think the proper conclusion would be that I watched a movie through a book!
Madelyn (Midge) Knightley is a strong, courageous, independent young woman who is determined to make a name of her own without being shunned under the fame of her producer/director father. She aspires to become an author which finds disapproval with her father. Following her heart she enrolls in collage, and walks out from her father and her trust fund, funding her in the process with a scholarship and freelance jobs. A sudden drying of the scholarship sends her back in to the arms of her father and is entrapped by a reality TV show he is to produce and direct called Marry Your Billionaire in order to get her trust fund back.
Brody Prescott is a billionaire running a dating company. He is misunderstood as a playboy for not being serious with women when in reality he has not come across a woman who would love him instead of his money. A scandal forces him to clear his image, and he reluctantly agrees to take part in the reality TV show ‘Marry my Billionaire’ as the intended billionaire.
Brody and Midge make an encounter before the show and there is an instance spark between them. Brody feels she is the one but Midge struggles with her feelings as she suffers severely from trust issues; her own parental marriage and the men she had dated, all contributing to her status.
Thrown together in the show Brody pursue Midge while she constantly runs away from him. This cat and mouse game goes on till she falls for him and accepts his affections. However, as the case in every love story, a villain or rather two villains in this case, come between them and discredits Midge in the eyes of Brody making him fall out on her. But sticking to the happily ever after mode, the misunderstanding gets cleared at the end and they get back together.
The book was a fun read. I laughed to myself most of the time. The story had a good flow and it had action which made the book both interesting and engaging. After reading a series of classics, I quiet enjoyed this light read. I was also very impressed with the use of language. Ms. Anaya has used a simple yet elegant language weaving flowery words and phrases which added so much color to the story. It was a simple story with quite a predictable ending but there were instances I was really bowled over with surprise.
All the supporting characters were well drawn. None of the characters were made small and they felt so real. I liked Blanche and Lisa so much. I even liked Mr. Corbin Knightley, although at first he did not win my favor. But he was later vindicated. All these minor characters held the canvass tight in order the picture to be beautifully drawn.
However, I felt that the cat and mouse game played by Brody and Midge were too dragged on for a good measure. Midge's issues are understandable, but her constant refusal to give a chance to her heart's feelings made me bit annoyed with her. I would have appreciated a little conciseness in that area.

I would give the book 3.5 stars and recommend it to all romance lovers who would enjoy a fun light read.

I don’t know what it is? Though I have never watched “The Bachelor/Bachelorette” reality TV shows, I am fascinated with reading clean romances with this similar theme. Marry Your Billionaire was refreshing and stood out in so many ways in a theme that otherwise has been done over and over.

I really liked the different direction that the author took that the hero and heroine both actually didn't want to be on the show and had very strong feelings about such shows. Their explanations were so palpable. Midge relates, “You’re absolutely right. I would never label Brody Prescott as a heartless womanizer after watching a full season of him kissing twenty plus girls and breaking all their hearts once he decides which one he’ll marry, only to call the wedding off when the season is over.” Brody Prescott the hero himself talking to his assistant is like, “I never watch this…myself and have zero respect for people who do.” Brody is a self-made billionaire and has been burned dramatically before by a woman he cared about enough to possibly marry to only find out she was only a con artist after his money. He found out almost too late. This has given him insecurities about ever finding someone in love with him and not his billions. He feels a reality TV dating show is not a way to find a wife whom is not like that.

Yet, end up on the show they both do though! Midge kicking and screaming is bribed into it by her Hollywood producer father. Brody agrees to go on only with the singular focus of getting Midge the woman he has personally engaged with several times before the show and wants with all his heart, but is giving him the fight of his life, because of her own insecurities of men only wanting her before for her close personal connections to Hollywood.

Don’t worry readers whom are fans of the “The Bachelor/Bacherlorette”, though Brody’s heart is focused on Midge to the exclusion of the other ladies, since Midge’s dad is the producer of “Marry Your Billionaire”, you get a behind the scenes view of the workings of a reality TV show. There are also the beautiful locales, creative dates/challenges (loved when they had to make/eat cicadas or other exotic foreign delicacies), behind the scene pranks, drama with the other ladies (Midge’s breath is almost taken away permanently by one of the contestants), swoony toe curling kisses between Midge and Brody, and other normal glued to your TV drama. The action, romance, humor, mystery/suspense, heart tugging deep moments, or twists was constant. Never a boring moment on the page!

This was a new author to me whom normally writes young adult/teen speculative fiction. I hope C.J. Anaya writes more clean contemporary adult romances.

Sensuality content: Clean. Kisses only. No necking, petting or sex. The heroine is a virgin that has made a personal decision to wait till marriage to have sex that is not preachy or judgmental. Midge, "I get that. What works for me isn't going to work for most other people, but I'm willing to wait until I find someone who respects my decision."

This book from C.J. Anaya tells us the story of Madelyn Knightley, the daughter of a famous director of Reality TV-Shows in Hollywood. Midge, as she is called from her friends, left home six years ago after a fight with her Dad, Corbin Knightley, because she didn’t want to follow into her father’s footsteps and take over the family business. Until then, Corbin has taken Midge with him on his business trips all over the world in order to show her how to become a director herself. But Midge wanted to become a writer and therefore went to College.

Midge’s Mum had been a Model, but paid the price of the show business and spent most of Midge’s childhood in Rehab. Both the relationships with her mother, and her father were quite difficult for Midge and she seemed to have had a lonely childhood.

Midge and her father meet again after her scholarship has run out because he needs her as a substitute for another contestant in his current show “Marry your Billionaire”. After he promises her access to her trust fund to pay for college if she helps him, Midge hesitantly agrees.

On the same day, right before the meeting with her father, she gets to know Brody Prescott, a successful entrepreneur of an Online-Dating Company. The whole encounter is pure coincidence, but Brody is intrigued by Midge and her not being impressed in the slightest by whom she is advising, and showing no interest at all in his money.

Lucky Brody, asked to be the Billionaire on Knightley’s new show and is all over the idea after he gets to know that Midge will be on the show. He made it his mission to win Midges’s heart. Not an easy task, given Midge’s experiences with men who only showed interest in her because of her connection to Hollywood.

Right from the beginning I was hooked! The writing style of the author is light-hearted and engaging, the plot is both entertaining and very sophisticated which made it hard to turn off my Kindle most of the time. There were several twists in the plot that I hadn’t expected. I love surprises in a book and I wasn`t disappointed. Not at all.

The characters of the story are likeable and often funny, and I would like to read more about all of them. So if there was a sequel, I would definitely read it. I found the mix of romance and crime a nice idea and I had a laugh then and there too.

For all those of you who enjoy Chick-Lit-esq books, from Lindsey Kelk, Rosie Walsh and Rosie Blake, this book certainly would be a nice addition to your collection.

Midge Knightly walked away from her father, a Hollywood producer, six years ago. She finds herself in a tough situation and needing his help. The catch? She needs to be a contestant on his new reality dating show, "Marry Your Billionaire." When she agrees, she doesn't know that the bachelor is Brody Prescott, a man she has met and doesn't care to get to know better. Brody has been wanting to get to know Midge better so this is the perfect opportunity for him. He has a plan but there are conniving females who are determined to win him over at all costs.

This book was pretty long, but it sounded like it had potential so I wanted to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! There is definitely some drama involved and Midge is at the center of it all. She has issues to work through with her father. My feelings towards him changed as the book progressed and I got to know him better. Two of the other contestants are in cahoots and trying to get rid of her. We know who one of them is right away and it's not surprising but the other one's identity is kept secret until almost the end.

Midge and Brody had great chemistry! He wasn't afraid to let her know how he felt and he got a kick out of her trying to run away from him all the time. She fought her feelings of attraction for him which was humorous. There were some twists which made it more dramatic, especially towards the end.

This book entertained me from beginning to end! Even though it's kind of long, I had a hard time putting it down and read it in two days. If you enjoy clean contemporary, bachelor-type romance, this is a must read! It's the first book I've read by this author, but it won't be the last.

I received a copy of this book via eBooks for Review for an honest review. My opinion is 100% my own.

This book was like watching a series of the the bachelorette. It had the good, the bad and the plain ugly cat fight. Marry your billionaire was pretty good. 4.5 stars out of 5.

Midge is a Hollywood producers daughter who has tried to move away from the crazy lifestyle but her father has other ideas. If she wants access to her trust fund she's going to have to do this small favour for him and step in the place of a dropped out candidate.

4.5 stars!
An amazing tale of love, self discovery and trust.
Marry Your Billionaire is a beautiful romance novella by C.J.Anaya. This book made me believe “Never give up on your love."

description

The male protagonist Brody Prescott is a handsome billionaire in search of a woman who loves him for who he is and not his billions. His defamed reputation compels him to become the first bachelor on the T.V. show, Marry Your Billionaire.
“It took me everything to allow her to walk away from me. Around her it felt like I was breathing fresh air for the first time”
“I plan on sweeping her off her feet, turning her world upside down and laying bare my heart while winning her’s in the process.”

The female protagonist Madelyn Knighty aka Midge is a woman of great values who walked away from her trust fund for pursuing her dreams as a writer. She lost trust on people once she found them using her for their own needs. The loss of her scholarship forces her to become a contestant on the show for Brody.
“Was Brody irresistible? Of course. Was her heart invested in him a little more than prudent? Possibly. Was avoiding his presence far safer than confronting him on the show? Indubitably”
“He was a dream, wrapped in a fairytale, dipped in chocolate, and laden with dollops of whip cream.”

While Brody falls in love with Midge at the first sight, it takes time for Midge to accept the new found feeling of love. Against all odds, both of them found their own beautiful fairytale. Though characters like Felicia and Liz got on my nerves, I totally found characters like Brody, Midge, Lisa and Blanche absolutely adorable.
For me, I enjoy books with love, trust, rainbows, happiness and romance and this book was exactly what I wanted. All in all, this book put a big smile on my face and made me dream of my own billionaire. I was left hopeful and contended.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romance. Pick this book and read, you’ll never regret it.

Will I love to read this book again? Yes
Will I grab a copy if available in my country? Definitely Yes

The time and thought put into this book must have been sacrificing. The different activities and places they went to for the reality TV series were fun and refreshing. I can’t tell you how many times I giggled. I even brought my hand over my mouth at the “Oh no” moment in the book! In short, the book is definitely worth the 411 page read!

I can’t even count the number of times there were miscommunications that cost some heartache. And as the TV series went on, not only were hearts at stake but some women fight way too dirty to get what they want. I loved Midge for her ability to see the best in people and to help them out. There is also a little mystery added in to keep you on your toes.

I loved the humor. Her cussing was funny...

Cheese and Crackers!

Sweet maple syrup was followed by Holy chest and abs Batman...

She waved her hand in the air as if she couldn't be bothered and then motioned for him to take a seat on the closed porcelain throne. She hoped seeing him seated upon a toilet might diminish the magnetic pull he had on her. He sat down and gave her a smoldering come hither stare. How in the world did someone sitting on a toilet manage a look like that?

Midge had standards. She didn't budge from them! I liked how she explained why she wanted to wait for sex. I liked it! It just put her higher on a throne for me!

My only beef with the book are the character names. They just bothered me. Like Midge, it just sounds really old!

Even though I have never watched The Bachelor (and have never desired to), I really seem to like books with that theme! Madelyn - or "Midge" - is a semester away from graduating when she loses her scholarship. Her dad makes her a deal: Be the final contestant for his reality TV show and he will give her back her trust fund.

Fate keeps putting her in billionaire Brody Prescott's path, and when it is announced he is the bachelor, it seems like fate has put her in his path once again! Brody isn't excited to be on reality TV; he regrets agreeing to do this in an attempt to save his image -- until he realizes that Madelyn is one of the contestants! He has one contestant (who he wants nothing to do with) determined to win at any cost and another contestant (who he wants everything to do with) who is determined to get kicked off as soon as possible! Add a saboteur into the mix and he more than has his hands full!

This book was a bit long, but right as I would feel like it was going a little too long the author would switch it up and catch my interest again (like eating cicadas - yucky and fascinating at the same time!)! I loved the side characters in this book, especially her roommate Lisa and Brody's mother!

Fun plot to a story - it could have been a tad cleaner for my taste, but overall cute if you didn't look to deeply at the story line.

Moral Note: Some passionate kissing, innuendos, talk of waiting for marriage, some mild swear words and mild violence.

I loved it! Such a fun, clean chick lit novel. There were so many twists and misunderstandings that had me changing my guess as to the outcome of the story and how the characters arrive there. Definitely worth the time spent. I laughed and cringed, cheered and booed, and wanted to smack some sense into some characters and most definitely wanted to tell the main characters to see what was right in front of their eyes!

Madelyn(or Midge-her nickname), has left behind Hollywood and her father's expectations that she join the family business of producing. She wants to be known for who she is and not for her father's accolades and her mother's acting. Midge breaks with her father and has pursued her own education to become a writer. Just a semester away from graduating with her Master's, Midge is told her scholarship is not available anymore. She wants to avoid debt at all costs and is trying to figure out how to do so when her father sets up an appointment with her. As she meets with her father she has the chance to get her trust fund back if she can do one simple thing. Fill in for just one day and night on his latest "Marry Your Billionaire" reality tv show. She comes, does the show, gets eliminated and as simple as that she has her trust fund back and is able to fund her education and book writing. Simple decision right? Wrong, it turns out to be anything but simple.

Enter Brody Prescott, billionaire and supposed playboy extraordinaire. He has created and impressively succeeded at a dating and marriage online company. Unfortunately there has been scandal. One of the dates he went on, all of whom are cut from the same mold and whom he dates for publicity, accuses him of a breach of privacy to his clients. Brody is an upstanding and honorable character that you come to love and cheer for throughout the book. As you learn his backstory you want him to find a true happy ever after. To try to fix the scandal he's been thrown into, Brody agrees to be the Billionaire Bachelor on the new reality tv show.

The opening of the book is so fun and sets a great tone for the relationship between Midge and Brody. She's feisty and not afraid to speak her mind, yet I think part of that is a front to protect herself from being hurt any further. She had somewhat of a fairy tale childhood, that wasn't without sorrow and hurt. The whole of which has turned her into the strong confident woman that she is. Brody banters with her at the beginning and enjoys riling her up.

Midge gives him one final set down and leaves the scene. Brody realizes he has never met someone like her and decides that he doesn't care what forgoing the reality show will do to his publicity, he just wants to find Midge and pursue a relationship with her.

Well, without giving you the details so you can read and enjoy the fun scenes that occur to get them to this point, let's just say that Midge signs the contract to fill in as a contestant on the show and Brody(knowing Midge is on the show) keeps his contract to be the bachelor.

Seriously such a fun read. There are several moments of misunderstanding between them. She overhears a conversations but only the part that hurts her and causes her to spurn any further advancements of their relationships. He also has the same situation occur and throws their relationship for another spin.

Now we can't forget that there are devious characters trying hard to underhand any relationship between Midge and Brody and further their own advancement. Yes it is a play off the Bachelor TV show so there are bound to be moments that the women get a little crazy over one male. Although I really haven't watched that show I can tell you that the book is clean, there are no sex scenes, no indecent conversations and no crazy catty scenes between the women that aren't good and fun to read.

There are several cute references to the fairy tale Cinderella, and even a silly group date that focuses on fairy tales. I loved the scene where she loses her shoe, the scene where they act out Cinderella and many more fun moments. I loved it and hope you enjoy it too if you take the chance to read it. Definitely going on my "go to read again bookshelf". There's so much more I could say about it but I'll leave you with that little glimpse into it and hope that has wet your appetite in wanting to read it.

I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

Happy Reading!!!

I received an Arc copy for an honest review and to be completely truthful with you, there was no way I could give it rating lower than 5. This book was just lovely, it was romantic, funny and had suspense thrown into the mix. This entire book was a joy to read. What I also loved was there was no predictable sex scene that we see so often, it was purely about falling in love and all the debts, hesitations that can come along. The suspense in this book though had you guessing and I loved that about the story.

So onto our book characters.

Firstly we have the feisty Midge (Madalyn) who much to her chagrin is the daughter of a famous Hollywood producer (her father) and Hollywood Actress (her mother). Midge is not like the usual Hollywood persona, she has a mind of her own and a will to do what she has a passion for, which unfortunately was not to follow in her father’s footsteps. She is strong willed and as soon as she knew what she wanted to do she gave up her trust fund to support herself and do what she wanted and you could not help but love the determination and respect her for those decisions.

Unfortunately for Midge, things take a nose dive when her scholarship runs out and she has to think about how she is going to pay for her next semester. At the same time as this is happening she receives a command from her father that he wishes to see her.

On route to her father Midge stops at her café that she adores and has a specific table she sits at to write her novel and think, but on this particular day, her seat is taken which just infuriates Midge. She does sit at another table but happens to hear the conversation at what is usually her table. It is here we meet Billionaire (Supposedly playboy) Brody Prescott, who is the owner of an online dating agency and who is having bad press at the moment and has been duped into doing this reality show to get his image out from the perception of a playboy and back into the CEO he is.

Along comes the reality TV show “Marry your Billionaire”. Midge can’t help Brody and his assistant argue over this TV show as quite frankly Brody does not want to do it. It is in this café that these two first become acquainted. Midge can’t help but give Brody her honest and quite frank opinion on what he should do and from that moment on Brody is captivated by Midge. Midge is a woman he has been looking for in a long time, someone who knows their own mind, does not just pander to him because of his money and actually has a brain. He is instantly attracted to her but Midge has to leave before he can get any more details from her as to whom she is.

When Midge does get to her father’s office it is here she learns that one of the candidates to the Reality show (that she discovers her father is producing), has had to cancel so in order to get her funds for her next semester at colleague her father gives her the opportunity to star in the show and she can get her trust fund back, this giving her money to carry on with her dreams.
Midge does agree but only for 1 night and then she must be eliminated. Unknown to Midge though, Brody is the Billionaire in the show.
I am sure you can imagine how that meeting will have gone down.
What transpires after that initial meeting is priceless and Brody has no inclination to let Midge get away again, let the games begin.

The story goes on with lots of laughter and you can actually see the chemistry between Brody and Midge happen and take fold but don’t relax too easily as there are underlying plots going on behind the scenes, dangerous plots and as the weeks go on there is more and more danger happening on the locations that will keep you gripped to your kindle.

Will Midge and Brody get their happily ever after or will something happen to stop this. You have to read the book to find out.

I must admit, I laughed, I cried and I went Awwww throughout this book, I just loved it and I know you will too. Enjoy

This has been such an enjoyable read right from the start to its very last page. And while I do remember reading two other novels based on the same premise of a bachelor-bachelorette contest, they are not nearly as funny, peppy or heart-meltingly romantic.

The personalities of the main characters felt quite relatable and realistic to me, especially that of Midge’s. She's snarky, opinionated, incredibly sassy and I loved her for it. She won me over from the very first conversation.
(Gregg) “The pictures taken of Brody with different women, and the
accusations involved, have painted a rather unpleasant persona. We need
to revamp his image.”
(Midge) “And your solution is to put his less than charming playboy
personality on the screen, allow him to date multiple women at one time,
and hope he doesn’t offend anyone in the process?”

She is like any common yet not so common girl. She shows a lot of confidence and yet her hidden vulnerabilities and innocence endears Brody to her. About Brody, I think he definitely comes out as the modern version of Prince Charming and more. I mean not only is he rich, successful, and amazingly gorgeous; he is actually *gasp* a very nice and caring person! Isn't that a win-win-win situation? Not at all like the arrogant snob of a hero that’s becoming a running trend in romance novels these days.

The writing is witty, enticing and peppered with hilarious anecdotes. The alternate POVs of the main characters make the story that much more amusing and it’s simply never boring.
She’d put the glasses on and earned an irritated look from Brody
which had been awesome. Then she mouthed the words, “You’re going
down,” mainly to instill the fear of God into him. He’d have to wonder
just what she planned to do once he called her name. From the pallor of
his skin, she’d felt certain he’d received the message.

This book is pure fun, romantic and there’s plenty of drama to spice it up well and good. The cumulation of comical situations and droll repartees, as well as some really cute and emotional moments shared between the H/h, has provided me with so many reasons to read it over and over again.

My sincere thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

I saw this book on Goodreads going free for an honest review. After reading the book blurb I thought it would be right up my street and the usual thing I like to read. I contacted the Author to get a copy.
I am so glad I did..... I loved it!

There are so many things I loved about it from the eye catching front cover, to the content it was like 'The Batchelor' meets 'Miss Congeniality' without the padgent!

Madeleines character was refreshing real, extremely intelligent and witty the book had me sat with a constant smile on my face. The tricks she pulled on Brody :) loved them especially the blue dye! I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. The humour in the book was brilliant and a great easy read which keeps you thoroughly entertained from the outset.

It is also nice and refreshing to see that the lady managed to keep the billionaire playboy on his toes by using her brain and wit, rather than her amazing body which happens in far too may romance books out there. The sex scenes were erotic and beautiful without needed to be turned into smut.

Whilst the main focus was on the romance developing between Madeline and Brody there were other background stories going on which kept me hooked. Filled with funny prank moments, scary ones and plenty to get your brain going, with the who done it?!

Again I loved it and will definitely be looking out for other books by the author.

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

So starting off I wanted to ask the author why you wanted to play with my feelings that way. It was not very nice or appreciated. Then on that note you know right away that this was a good book. A good book has plot twists and moments that pull on a reader's heart strings and that's exactly what this book did. I loved every moment of reading it but there are a few thing I think are worth mentioning. First off I want to explain my rating, I wanted to give the book three stars because it was terribly cliche in all ways possible, but you know sometimes you just need a little cliche in your life so I didn't want to discredit the book just because of that one small thing. I didn't give it a five star rating because it was a good book but a five star rating is reserved for the best of the best. There is also one last thing I thought worth mentioning which is that when reading the book I almost felt like I was reading a book on Wattpad which is necessarily bad because there are some great writers on Wattpad. So I believe that this is a book for when people have had enough of all the different plots of all the different books they read and just want to experience so cliche romance for a while which I surely did. I recommend this book to the the romance enthusiasts that always love a good love story and to the people that just need a break and just want some cliche romance because this is surely the book to read for that.

I received this book from the author in return for an honest review.

Midge is almost done with college but has just lost her scholarship which she needs to complete the last semester of her Master's degree. Her father is a very famous Hollywood producer/director but he's not helping her because he wants Midge in the business with him. Brody is a billionaire who owns one of those online dating companies. He's a date-'em-once kind of guy and the last woman he went on a date with accused him of using his companies dating site to pick-up girls and then dumping them. Midge's dad has the brilliant idea of a "Bachelor"-type reality showing titled, 'Marry a Billionaire' and he uses the loss of one of the contestants to rope Midge back into his world. Brody has met Midge and finds out she's to be on the show so decides to be the billionaire so he can connect with Midge. And let the sparks fly!

I thought this was a fun, easy read which had great chemistry between the lead love interests. The thing that tears them apart is a bit different than the usual conflicts in a romance and is probably the only thing I wasn't fond of, I thought it needed more in that area. But that was minor and didn't take away from my enjoyment. If you like contemporary romances that are pretty 'clean' you'll probably enjoy this one.

OH MY GOD, do I have no words for this book ! This book was absolutely, devastatingly incredible. Totally hooked me from the beginning. I found myself grinning like crazy in the first few chapters; laughing out loud like a maniac and letting my heart pound along with Madelyne's.

Every unexpected twist further enthralled me and had me savoring every single word. I loved the whole setting and the plot, along with the characters (obviously excluding that Felicia Davenport b*tch). I loved seeing the other side to Midge's dad mostly, excluding her relationship with Brody obviously, because I most definitely loved that the most *happy sigh*

And also how could you C.J. Anaya ?! I was discretely balling my eyes out in public over that diamond ceremony and the curve ball you threw.

I most certainly recommend this book to anyone and everyone !

Walking away from her family and only some of her trust fund, which running out and one semester still to go she needs to find work to finish the year and she turns to writing.

Sitting in her favourite seat in a cafè are two men, she takes the next table so can overhear their conversation, she has to comment, she can't contain her thoughts.

The CEO of a dating company, but confirmed bachelor, he finds himself drawn to her. All this while she's picking holes in their plans to improve his image, he can get her out of his head. She's not interested in him or his money!

With the billionaire trying to pull out of his planned TV show, and her father the production manager of the show, he wants to force her hand into taking part in the show, giving her back her trust fund in return for appearing just once in the show.

The story goes on, it's funny and romantic, but she needs money and her hand is forced.

Loved the connection between the two characters, love the story and it's twists and turns, the conclusion is a great book. Loved it!

I received this ARC from the author free of charge in exchange for an honest review. Firstly, my thanks to C.J. Anaya. Secondly, well done on a brilliant book. This book was everything the synopsis said it would be and more. I found myself not only laughing at the antics, but found that I could relate to it and therefore the story was more realistic. This story is about Midge Knightly, daughter of a famous Hollywood producer, who has left the comforts of her father's riches and Hollywood legacy to pursue her own dream of becoming a writer. Circumstances force her to accept her father's offer of signing her trust-fund to her if she appears on his latest launching show as one of the bachelorettes.
She just doesn't realise that the Billionaire that is up for grabs just happens to be the one man who sets her off-balance (Brody Presscott) and is trying to avoid like a plague. You'll just have to read the book to find out what happens and trust me, that is no hardship.
This book was hilarious, entertaining and had the perfect amount of romance.
Again, well done.

Wow! I kind of feel bad for my next book, because this one left me with a book hangover. I LOVED this book. I loved the romance, the devotion of Brody and the fire in Midge. The scene of a reality show was perfect and made the entire thing very interesting. I don’t even like the bachelor, but I liked this. I love how they met before taping even started. Midge is her own person and has her own goals and I think we can relate to that, we want to live our own lives and not be told what we need to do even if we are good at it. She is independent and doesn’t want any help. She is even trying to “earn” her trust fund you have to love this girl. Brody is looking for REAL, he is fine being a bachelor but if he is going to do this he wants it to be real, what is more real that Midge. She is the one he has been waiting for. Now throw in some cady females, a plot twist and a good villain and boom magic. LOVE THIS BOOK, you will too.

This is my first time I have ever read anything by this author and I am glad I did! Chic lit is not my most favorite genre but this was funny and fun. The story is mostly based in a reality tv setting similar to that of "The Bachelor." But I loved that our main characters met and had sizzle before they even got on the set. Midge, (love that name!) and Brody, are both used to people using them for their connections and money. So they have to learn to trust and love.

There is also a little suspense thrown in, which I think helped move the plot along. I felt like the story got a little wordy at the end but thankfully the "misunderstanding" didn't take too long to resolve.

This is clean romantic fiction, meaning there is no sex. But there is some innuendo and passionate kissing. I would say that this book is for adults who like clean fiction. There are some mild swear words, and very mild violence.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
