I'm not really a chick-lit type of dude and not sure how i originally added this to my read list, but what i can really appreciate is that this is not some quickly written, play on the romance factor, type of book. The interaction between the characters is so vivid that it almost reads like a treatment for a screenplay. And again, i'm a pretty unemotional type of guy, but i was "stirred" by what I read. Great job, Lorraine!
A waste of time. From the reviews praising this as the next "Outlander", I was intrigued and excited. Unfortunately, this was a complete let-down. The story was confusing and the writing juvenile. I gave up after about 30% read. I rarely leave a book unfinished, but this one truly was not worthy of my time.
A rambling badly written pompous novel is far better than this tripe. No sense of pacing, unsympathetic characters and usages of modern English by characters in centuries pasta are the lesser evils of this shambling novel. Reading this should be a form of torture
I liked the idea of the novel. I understand the author didn’t want to give too much away and leave some parts mysterious, but I just found them confusing. The author constantly used the same adjectives and phrasing - oftentimes in the next paragraph - which grew quickly tiresome. I won’t be continuing with the series.
I enjoyed the interactive content. I liked the idea. I didn't like that the story felt incomplete. Too many things left open in order to continue the series. Sorry I couldn't give it more stars for that reason
There are so many flaws I don’t know where to begin. Way too many story lines. Under developed characters. Incongruous dialogue and behavior. This work was self published and it shows. With a good editor, it might be readable.
