I remember absolutely loving the first couple of books in this series, and I found that I still do. But I found that most of the middle books in this series had issues that I now remember why I eventually dropped it before it finished.
I can't express how much I absolutely disliked most of Lock & Bailey's book. Lock was ok, but Bailey grated on my nerves. Other couples were ok, but I also didn't really like either Langford or Stephan. For someone who didn't condone cheating, Langford was awfully quick to do so before his divorce had even been started. And Stephan seemed too quick to give up his dream job when he hadn't even been willing to consider applying for anything else.
Ultimately though, I did like how the Fated Date Agency came full circle with the last book. I'm not sure that I bought into the chemistry between Zack and Korey; they never really clicked for me, but the opportunities for a future for the agency was a very nice end to the series.
Overall I enjoyed it, the best story was Illicit Mates which was the second story. For most I didn't really feel the connection between the two MC's, especially in Aftermath the last one. Zack came across as a real a***hole to me.
Fated Dates Bryant and Cade are great friends, but Bryant has deeper feelings. Cade is a bit oblivious to the obvious. Bryant makes a huge mistake by lieing, but Cade turns into a push over and continued to compound his mistakes until the end.
Illicit Mates Dayton and Tanner have an instant connection, as student and professor. Dayton wants more, but Tanner is straight. An interesting read navigating the rules of the college and fated mates.
Mail Order Husbands Edmund and Lieber are completely different an Alpha of his pack and an omega serving time. A complicated story for their complicated lives. I enjoyed how Lieber grew and took control.
Greater Than Fate Ford and Jarvis have a connection, but Jarvis lives his life a bit different and being with one man is not in his plans. Ford is adorable and still very young.
Mating Addiction Raymond is a sex addict who denies his addiction. He thinks Diago is another conquest. Diago is excited to meet his fated mate, but Raymond is nothing like he expected. A very different read with a difficult addiction. I don't understand why the ex came up again at the end.
Omega Groupie I'm not a farm of rockstar reads; they tend to be very similar. Bailey is Lock's biggest fan and has been since he heard his voice. Lick feels the connection meeting Bailey but continues to allow his manager to run his entire life. He follows her lead, denies who he is, does drugs, and cannot even see how much she is hurting his career.
Hidden Shifter Samuel waited too long to contact the Agency to find his mate. Caden is on the run and has difficulty relaxing or believing his pack is not after him. Caden's was completely unsupportive, even with them saying they were. He would not have been so afraid if they were actually helping. Z
Destiny's Passion A cute read with some major drama for Stefan and Langford. I cannot believe either of them put up with Damien's crap for so long. Why does no one go to HR and file complaints? Especially since Damien was so blatant and hostile, even after.
Aftermath Zack decides to search for his fated mate after Praya retired. He has a very difficult time managing his emotions and expects to never let them surface. It definitely caused him issues.
Mail Order Husbands I love the way this author allows his imagination to wander and explode with ideas that not only push the limits, but also allows us to fly away into the "what if" realm of reality. This book is comprised of three instalments, combining the trilogy into one. It is part of the Fated Mates series, yet a standalone. In this episode, we meet Edmund and Lieber, as they are thrown together thanks to Edmund's teenage daughter as a way to prove a point to her father. She secretly sends a request to the Fated Date Agency under the guise of her father, requesting his fated mate be found and delivered to him as soon as possible. Strings are pulled and arrangements made to bring the two together. As soon as they are introduced, they know they are fated, but there are many obstacles in the way that they will have to hurdle over in order to make a go of their relationship. Abraham has given us a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat trying to figure it out, but with many twists and turns, you can't put it down until the end. A definite must read! Well done
Greater than Fate
Mating Addiction Another awesome story in the Fated Date Series. Abraham Steele has a unique way of bringing the most unlikely people together in a hot, steamy romance that will keep you wanting more, not of each individual story, but of the series. This particular book involves Raymond, a sex addict who has been disowned by his family, and Diago, a young man who has been scorned by the man he has spent the past five years with. When Diago sends a message to Raymond, who he has been told is his fated mate, everything changes in both their lives. A hot story full of passion of all sorts, this book is worth the read. If you haven't read the previous books in the series, don't despair. They are all stand alones and don't need to be read in any order, but I suggest you read them anyway, as they are all awesome. Loved this one as much as the others.
Omega Groupie
Hidden Shifter Another great episode in the Fated Date Agency series, Abraham Steele has given this one a bit of an unexpected twist. What would you do if the one and only person that was fated to be your forever mate, was dead? You know that there will only be one, and that if you miss out on that, that you will never love another, never be able to have your own children, and that you have a lifetime of feeling alone and lonely. Samuel has finally decided he's lonely and needs his mate, so after years of procrastinating, he's finally taken the plunge and written to the Fated Date Agency for them to find his mate for him. Idris is presumed dead after being driven off the road and left, so he creates a new identity for himself and runs, believing that his alpha had put a hit out on his life. After running completely across the country, and assuming the name of Caden, well, I'm not going to tell you what happens, you will have to read it. Call it my own version of a cliffhanger, unlike this book, which is complete. The book is extremely well written. The author has filled the plot with lots of excitement, action, a bit of compassion and anxiety and lots of love. The characters are unique, showing both strengths and weaknesses. Well put together and easy to follow. Looking forward to the next chapter in this series.
Destiny’s Passion What a grand addition to a wonderful series. Longer than most in the series, this book is packed full of lots of drama! Who would have thought that when Stefan sent his deposit off to the Fated Mate Dating Agency, that his Fated Mate would not want to meet him? Langford never did sign up to the agency, so his surprise when he received an email from his supposed fated mate through him for a loop. Especially when he was already in a committed, long term relationship. Go figure! This has to be one of the best books in this series. The author has taken what should have been a straight up and forward book and added so many twists and turns that you were never sure if the two heroes were ever going to find their happy ever after. Very well written with characters you love to love, I found it very difficult to put this one down. It could have been twice as long, and I wouldn’t have had enough of these two. Loved it! Well done!
Aftermath What a beautiful way to complete the Fated Date Agency Saga. There are so many ways the author could expand on this series, so many possible spin-offs, it is almost mind-boggling. I love the way Abraham Steele has taken the shifter idea to new levels with a gay version, and especially the Alpha/Omega fated mate. In each of the books in the series, the heroes have had unique situations, and this one topped them all. Zack, our alpha, has been through some tough times, and finding himself basically alone in the world, is ready to find his fated mate and get on with life. The only problem…the agency has closed and they aren’t responding to any of his communications. But he’s determined and won’t give up. After tracking down Praya, and pretty much keeping “in her face” until she gives in and shows him how to continue with the work she was doing. How to take the samples and analyse them, and how to match fated mates. Armed with this information, he’s off to roam the world in order to find his mate. If only he would have followed his instincts prior to hunting down Praya. When he finally makes his way back home to wind down a bit, staying with his cousin, one of three living relatives he has left, they decide to go out for an evening and see if they could possibly find a man to help him relax. Imagine his reaction when, after almost leaving, he hears the voice of an angel…or is that the man in drag up there on stage? There is something about him that is keeping him from leaving….his name being Korey and his up on stage. So much action and numerous unexpected twists, you won’t want to miss out on this book. If ever there was an alpha that deserved his happy ever after, it’s Zack. The question is…will they be able to get over their many obstacles? Will Korey ever want to leave his hometown? Will they be able to make a go of it? If you think you know what’s going to happen, don’t bet on it! A must read!
Everything single one of the books in this set brought to the table another continuation of the story. Praya worked hard on her agency and brought anything couples together. Each story involves her, but yet has a taste all it's own.
Each one of these stories bring you in and have you laughing and crying and even having you staying 'what the hell are you thinking. Trust me you will enjoy this book set because I have. Following in everyone's journey and maybe you will have a favorite. Omega Groupie was mine.
I loved this series. Each book was an individual book without any crossover of characters. Each was a stand alone with a HEA. The only cross over character was Praya (the matchmaker).
Each story had a good story line, great characters, good descriptions to details and easy to follow dialogue.
This of course was a M/M series with male pregnancy. Depending on the book, there was action, deception, redemption, heartache, revenge, redemption, and most of all hot and steamy naughty bits. Even a story or two gave me heart twinges and aaawwww moments as well.
Awesome set. Even though this series is over, I would love for their to be a spin off to the series. Since the Alpha and Omega's have been matched up for the most part, let's see the Beta's get their HEA now.
For some reason this series just didn't click with me... maybe it was just me! Hmmm...
I was soooo disappointed because I love shifter stories... but there just wasn't enough that pertained to the "shifter" aspects to suit me! I thought book 5 was going to be DNF for me (at first) what a horrible beginning! :(
But I pushed through and I am proud to say I made it to the end! *grin*
There were some great characters... but some of the situations just didn't work for me.
Is linguistically challenged at times. They all have the same outcome which was the point of the series. The last book, however, was the best of them all and is what pushed my rating of 3 to a 4. I loved the ending.
