Author of five previous Arabesque novels and countless short story romances, Loure Bussey is a "veteran novelist who truly understands the power of love" (Romantic Times). Here, she introduces magazine editor Shay Hilton, a woman who longs for charismatic District Attorney Braxton Steele -- a man she's only seen in newspapers and on television. But when her ex-fiance is murdered in her penthouse, Shay comes face to face with the sexy lawyer -- as her prosecutor.
I wasn't familiar with the author or her work, so I was unsure what to expect of this book. It was surprisingly good! Anytime it's hard for me to put a book down, I know it's good. I liked the lead characters and thought they had really good chemistry. I had no idea who the perpetrator was, and when he was revealed I was shocked! Wondering if there's going to be a follow-up, cause I think some loose ends were left with the brother and best friend.
