Lost Forever: Extinct Wildlife/Extinct Animals of the Islands/Extinct Animals of the Southern Continents

Rate this book
The complex web of life on planet Earth tells many stories about the emergence and later disappearance of various animal species. Some animals appear to have been ill-suited for survival. They were oddities of evolution without much prospect, and their ultimate disappearance was not that surprising. Others seem to have disappeared for no particular reason. Sometimes they left behind a record of their existence in fossil forms, but the explanation for their passing may remain a mystery. Sadly, the modern record shows the hand of humans at work in the demise of many species.
