Amanda is from a small town in Louisiana. She is a mother to one beautiful daughter and two bad fur babies. She's been married to the love of her life for 3 years. She loves to read and has for as long as she can remember. One day she decided she had a story to tell so she sat down to write it. Now her dream of not only reading the stories she loves, but giving other people a story to devour was set into motion.

I'm a massive fan of Amanda's Wounded Souls Series so I was super excited to read this novella and it didn't disappoint.
Heather and Declan have been married for 10 years and have an 8 year old adopted daughter who they love more than anything. Life hasn't always been great for them and when Heather starts to feel unwell and fears the worst could some unexpected news on Christmas eve be the blessing they've been waiting for. A short and sweet read the perfect addition to this fab series.

Just as the title states, this is a story about the unexpected and how we learn to deal with life's little curve balls. This is a story between Heather and Declan.  We hadn't heard too much from these two in previous books, but they do make the odd appearance here and there in the other books.  This book helps us to appreciate the little things in life as you never know when the unexpected happens.
