One of the more easier to read text available on Ancient India. The writing is very succinct and interests the reader easily. Sections covering trade and state formations are particularly intriguing. Also, it discusses historiographical debates very clearly and does not expect students to have much prior knowledge on the topic. However one does wish there were more maps and pictures.
