Lucky Luke’s fishing book for kids is ideal for young outdoor enthusiasts with a passion for fishing. It sparks their imaginations and inspires them to discover the wonders of nature through their own adventures.
Young fishing lovers will adore this chapter book that explores one kid's great fishing day. Luke is beyond excited to go to his grandparent's lake house in the woods. His sister isn't big on fishing and his older brother likes to sleep in so Luke knows he will have the whole lake to himself for the first few hours of the day. He sets out early, eager to see what's biting. He has some of his favorite lures, hidden hot spots, and lots of patience! His goal is to catch enough fish to feed his family at breakfast, anything else is just a bonus. He goes from one area of the lake to the next, swapping out lures, and scoping out the fish. He's in for a real treat though and will have more than just fish to give his family- he'll have a ton of stories, some of which sound unbelievable, but you had to be there! Lots of fun - an easy chapter book perfect for readers in elementary school.
I just found out about these books and they are wonderful for kiddos that like to hunt, fish, etc. They are chapter books for kids about 7-10 (that's my range for these), and the chapters are not too long. They are based on adventures the author had as a child, I believe. Fun stories. My son is 8 and likes these.
I was excited to get a review request from Mr. Lovegreen. One of my younger grandsons just finished his first fishing lessons. I know he is going to love this book.
At six years old, I feel he is a little advanced in the reading department, so the length of the book, the variety of new words, and the smaller print will be no challenge for him.
In this tale from Lucky Luke's Hunting Adventures, young Luke is visiting Grandpa's cabin on the lake with his family. He wants to catch enough fish for the entire family to have a great breakfast. His combination of luck, knowledge, and skill provides him with a plentiful bounty.
There are life lessons and fishing lessons to be learned in Fish On! I especially like the guidelines for when to keep the fish and when to let it go free. Luke's independence is fabulous to see. He learned to boat & fish from his grandpa and obeyed all the safety rules.
And what fishing tale would be complete without a classic story about the one who almost got away with Luke's favorite lure.
The story is sure to hold the attention of young readers and any fishing fans out there.
Fish On! is the first book I have read in the Lucky Luke series. Girls love outdoor adventures as much as their counterparts, but I realize the series is about young Luke, first and foremost. I hope we get to see a little more female interaction in the future.
I received a copy of the book from the author or publisher. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion. 4.6/5
My son is in first grade and just finished this book with me! It was his very first chapter book and I am so proud! The story kept his attention and the reading level was perfect to challenge him! He can’t wait to read more.
Middle Grade Fishing book full of real tips and tricks on what hooks and bait to use for which kind of fish, what environments fish like, and how to get the different breeds of fish hooked and in the boat.
My son loves these adventures. They are very detailed for kids into fishing or hunting. I didn’t like that in this one the sister seemed stereotypically squeamish (she isn’t in other adventures).
